Luckily for me there was a lot of little off-roads that i could take and easily lose them, unluckily though was the fact that i would probably get lost as-well. Still that didn't stop me. I took any road that would get me away from them and after a while i could no longer see them in my review mirror. I had a strong urge to jump back into Lissa's head and see where they were just to make sure i had lost them.
I was going to as-well. I pulled over to the side of the road and just as i was about to go into her head i was swept with an overwhelming nausea and sure enough when i looked up there was at least four of them surrounding my car.
"Oh, Shit." I muttered for the third time that night.
I had been so focus on getting away from Lissa, Christian, Adrian and Dimitri that i hadn't paid any attention to my surroundings OR the Strigoi that happened to be lurking in the dark. Suddenly i wished that Dimitri had found me because i would rather face him then a bunch of Strigoi. By the looks on the Strigoi's faces they were planning on killing me, not that i was surprised by that, why wouldn't they kill me, i had killed plenty of them before.
Suddenly i realized that there was more than i thought and they were circling the car. I counted at least ten of them. I am so screwed i thought to myself. I decided i would at least try and fight. Maybe if i was lucky i could kill one or two of them before the rest finished me off. Grabbing my stake i slowly got out of the car. They all just looked at me - no stared - None of them moved. None of them made a sound. I was beginning to feel uneasy, well beside's from the nausea. Why weren't they attacking me?
Suddenly one of the Strigoi stepped closer - a female - and began to talk.
"Rose Hathaway, i presume." She spoke as she closed most of the distance between us. I was about to attack but some Strigoi had snuck up behind me when i wasn't paying attention. All of them grabbing me so i couldn't run or fight.
"What do you want?" I questioned, trying my hardest not to let my fear show.
As if rehearsed all the Strigoi laughed in unison, like it was obvious what they wanted.
"We want Dimirti Belikov." The female - who i assumed was the leader - answered.
I was a little shocked to tell you the truth. I wasn't expecting that at all...All i could mutter was "Why?"
Again they all laughed, which was extremely annoying.
"Isn't it obvious?" She questioned clearly amused
"Not really." I answered, still too shocked to come up with anything better to say
Sighing she continued "He betrayed us. I heard he was turned BACK into a dhampir, now at first i didn't believe it...but then i saw him with some Moroi... trying to find you. Now he must die"
It was all clear to me now. I was their bait to lure in Dimitri. Super, its not like i had anything better to do with my time. Thats when i felt a sharp pain on the side of my head and everthing slowly went black. I was unconsious.
The next time i opened my eyes i found that i was tied to a chair and was surrounded once again by Strigoi. My head was throbbing and i felt like crap.
None of the Strigoi would talk to me when i asked them things, like 'Where are we' or 'Can i have food'. None of them even looked at me. I basically just sat there for what felt like an enternity, staring at a blank - colourless wall. Soon enough the boredom became too much and i drifted to sleep.
Adrian was the first thing i saw. He looked worried.
"Okay Rose. Just tell me where you are. We have been looking for you everywhere."
Looking around i realized we were in my room at the court. I guess he wasn't being too creative today.
"Please Rose!" He sighed. "Adrian...i would tell you...but i don't know where i am." i admitted.
Shaking his head he replied "How can you not know where you are? ...Oh god, you didn't get lost, did you?"
I laughed although i didn't find anything funny "No, i didn't get lost. I was...well kind of taken... by few Strigoi."
His eyes went wide and his mouth dropped "How many?"
"Uh...i counted at least...ten...maybe more, Yeah definatley more." I said, trying to think of how many had surrounded my car.
"Wait that many Strigoi just took you? And they haven't killed you...they must want something." He looked like he was in shock
I nodded "Yeah, they want Dimitri." He looked even more shocked by that "What? Dimitri...Why do they want him..?
"They said that he betrayed them...They took me for bait" I replied. Adrian looked even paler than usually.
Suddenly i was pulled out of the dream as someone slapped me in my own body. When i opened my eyes i saw the female standing in front of me.
"Oh your awake. Good." she smiled
"Did you just slap me?" I questioned, really confused. The left side of my face was stinging a little.
She laughed "Well i had to wake you up somehow." that was the first time i actually noticed what she looked like.
She had long black hair which was tied into a high pony-tail. Her eyes were a peircing shade of blue, rimmed with the red glow that all Strigoi had. Her face looked young - pale - and she was really slim. Obviously she had been a Moroi before she had been awakened. Her clothes were nice - for an undead, evil vampire who was possibly about to kill me - she was wearing a blue singlet covered in a nice stylish black leather jacket. She had dark skinny jeans on and a nice pair of flat boots. If she wasn't possibly going to kill me - or an evil undead vampire - i would have asked where she had gotten her outfit from.
"My names Lucia, if you were wondering." She smiled and when a Strigoi smiled it wasn't nice or warm. It was cold and menacing - which made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
"Well i wasn't" I replied coldly. If i was going to die, i was going to die with my dignity.
