As the ball keeps going on, Proteus and Kida walk into the grand ballroom with everyone dancing. A slow dance song comes up just as they arrive. "May I have this dance?" Proteus turns his hand over so his palm is facing up. Kida blushes and beams. "I would love to." she says. Kida bows to the prince and Proteus does the same. The prince holds onto Kida's waist and Kida wraps her arms around the back of Proteus' neck. The couple slowly moves to the beat of the string music. "Kida," Proteus starts as he spins Kida around in a circle. She puts her arms on the prince's chest. "Yes?" Kida says. Her eyes gleaming from the bright diamond-like lights. "From the moment I met you, I knew you were special." Kida's face turns pink. "Why thank you." she says warmly. Proteus and Kida bow to the end of the song.

Suddenly, a large, dark cloud appears from the ceiling and a woman with long, jet black hair arrives. "Hello!" she says with a faint echo in her voice. No one pays attention. "AHEM!" Everyone gasps and looks up at the woman. "That's much better. I am Eris. The Goddess of Chaos!" Kida holds onto Proteus' arm for protection. "I am here for various reasons. Some of you may say I am here for revenge." Everyone who attended the ball have no idea what Eris is talking about. Eris rolls her eyes as her long hair is swaying everywhere. "Ugh. You humans are so dumb." The Goddess of Chaos grabs Kida. She grunts and tries to get out of Eris' large fist. "This girl is a victim of something large." Everyone gasps as Kida gapes at Eris. "People, your Prince Proteus left the Ambassador Marina for this girl!" Eris announces. Proteus just stands there dumbfounded. "How does that feel Proteus? Now, if you don't mind, your girlfriend and I are going to...you know...bond.". The Goddess laughs an evil laugh as she disappears in thin air. Proteus, still frozen, does not know what do next. For his pride and joy {Kida} had been kidnapped.
