5. All of a sudden Bolt was feeling better. "Oh, my head," Bolt groaned. He was a little dizzy. He tried to stand and wobbled a bit. Then he caught his balance. He leaped off the couch and walked outside. Penny ran around and fell. Luckily she caught herself. "Bolt!?" she asked getting up. "You're okay!" The two ran to each other and hugged tightly. Penny was warm from the sweats she was wearing. She checked him out to make sure he was fine. Bolt's eyes weren't glassy any longer, and he stopped trembling! Penny gave him another hug, and pulled out his dog bowl. He woke up a little late. "Enjoy your breakfast, boy," Penny said kissing the top of his head. She ran off to play Twister with her friends. Bolt ate his meal and trotted away to see his canine friends. They were running around and relaxing. Buddy charged Duke, and he snarled and tackled Buddy. Mittens walked by and got near the ruckus. "Ack!" she said stepping back. Buddy tumbled out of the fight and hit the stump where Lila was sitting. "BUDDY!!!!" Lila, Bolt, and Duke said together. The dogs leaped over to see him. He was fine. He had a little scrape on his leg, but it wasn't bloody. He stood up, and limped slightly as he walked. Duke followed Buddy. "Hey, man," Duke said. "Hey," Buddy replies. "I-got-a-little tough." Duke says slowly. "It's okay," Buddy said shaking his head. "We can get like this. We're dogs." Bolt walked away to give them some privacy. But, to his surprise, Lightning wasn't out. Bolt frowned with confusion. Bolt turned around and ran to Duke. "Where's Lightning?!" Bolt demanded. Duke turned his head. He walked over to Bolt. "That's the problem!" Duke said walking over to Bolt. Duke had alertness and sadness in his voice. "I was the only one who noticed her today. Our kids didn't notice. Bolt scanned the sides of him, making sure it was just him, and the dogs. "We aren't going to the lake, are we?" Bolt asks. "No," Duke answered. "It's too cold, there's even some fog." "Good, that'll keep the kids from finding out." Bolt says. "How is that good?" Duke demanded. "It will keep 'em from worrying." Bolt replies. Duke nods. All of the other dogs were behind Bolt. The humans went into the trailers, RVs, and tents to keep warm. "It's up to us to find her," Duke orders. "Spread out!" Everyone moved into different areas. They relied on their whiskers, ears, and noses because of the fog making it hard to see.

Bolt headed for the lake. He had to be careful not to fall in. He couldn't see anything. Bolt heard something rustle to the side of him. He turned and snarled. The thing came closer. It was an evil clone of Bolt! Bolt's ears shot forward, showing anger. He growled deeply. His clone did the same. "What have you done with her?" Bolt demanded. The evil dog just stared. "I said WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO LIGHTNING!!!!!" Bolt shouted. "She's locked up," evil Bolt said. "With my evil dogs and cats." Bolt forced evil Bolt to lead him to his lair. When he refused, Bolt jumped on him. Teeth and claws flying. Amazingly, Bolt wasn't injured. But evil Bolt had a bloody scar on his right side. Bolt snarled and stepped toward his evil clone. But as he did, more snarling came around him. Clones of all the dogs were surrounding the two, with Bolt's good friends trapped. And he was too. It suddenly went black. Shouts of pain and struggle were realeased from the blackout. Then it stopped.

"Bolt!? Lila?" Penny said looking all over. "Where are you, guys?" "Bolt? Duke?" Mittens called searching everywhere. The fog had cleared up, but it was still cold. "BOLT!!!!!" Rhino shouted with depression. "Where could they be?" Penny sobbed. She and her friends just had to have their trusty, loyal, friendly, and loving dogs. It was getting dark. They had to go to bed. Everyone would search some more in the morning.

6. Bolt woke up in a dark room in a building. But he wasn't free. He was in a cage! "What the H am I doing in here?" Bolt asked himself. The room lighting was dim. But Bolt made out what he was in. It was the lair. Only those dogs weren't real clones. They were realistic robots! "Humans?" Bolt whispered. There was a crash in the hall as a man stepped around. But what was that other noise? Cat hissing? Dog snarling! The man came into the room, with Lightning growling and biting and scratching. Bolt gasped. There was his lost friend. Struggling to get free and go back to her boy. "You do not know what you're in for you idiot!" Lightning said quickly. The man put her on the floor and searched in a drawer. He found exactly what he needed. Then he pulled a clear vial out of the medicine refrigerator. He stuck the syringe he got out through the vial lid, and drew out some of the liquid. Lightning bolted at the man, but he caught her and gave her the injection. She suddenly relaxed and fell to the ground. Then the man muzzled her, and took her away. What will happen now?
