"Honey? Are you alright ?" I quickly looked up and saw my Mom looking at, me concern filling her eyes.
"uh..Yeah Mom..J-Just fine.." I said, I could tell she didnt buy it.
"Alright, I'll Be in the next room talking to Trent." She left looking out of the corner of her eye to see if i would just jump out of my skin. I slowly stood up and decided to see if there was any chocolate cake left.
I left the gameroom and looked around to see if Mrs.Knox would just appear again..i hoped, even though sh- or it tried to kill me.
I grabbed some cake and overheard a frantic whisper. I tip-toed closer hearing the conversation between the two str- No it was my mom with Trent.
"Trent, W-We cant keep her from this, She has to know who her father is, You know that."
"Yes Malorie i know that, But she's in grave danger..Athena thinks she stole the artifact of stragedy.."Trent said,
I didnt know who th- Then i remembered Athena the goddess of war and stragedy... No this cant be real, My greek Mythology book was turning into real life. But that would explain Mrs.Knox turning into some wierd creature too.

But what was my mom talking about, who was my dad ?
I heard a low growl coming from behind me, I turned around and saw Geoff.
"Oh Geoff, Its Just You,," I sighed in relief. He laughed and pulled me into a hug."I didnt get to say Happy Birthday."He said, I grumbled,"Yeah, Happy Birthday,,,"
Geoff laughed and took some of my cake.I slapped his arm in response and sat down. Still thinking about what happened.
"Geoff, Tell me...Now." I said,
"Tell You What ?"He acted like he didnt know what i was talking about, But i knew he was lying.
"C'mon Geoff, You're a horrible liar. So spill."
He sighed and hesistated,"Hey, Are you going to finish that ?" He pointed to my half-eaten cake.I groaned in frustration,"Geoff. Tell me..NOW."
"Fine...You Know all those gods and goddesses, like Zeus ? Persephone ? Ath-"
"Your point being ?" I interupted.
"Wel-"
There was a sudden crash outside, i dropped my cake and ran outside.I held my breath at the sight of the huge bull with red,gleaming, eyes.He sniffed the air and looked over at me. Steam came from its nose, It roared with frustration and charged at me.
I froze, My legs started to shake."Turn Around..." The man's voice whispered in my thoughts. I did as i was told and turned aroud. I forgot that there was a huge body of water here by Canada.
I didnt get what the voice was saying. I felt a jolt of pain embedded in my back. I groaned and fell to the ground. I heard my mom's voice cry out,"Courtney !,
"Get into the water..."The voice whispered. I whimpered and started pulling my weight towards the water.I could feel warm liquid coming from my arm. There was a huge gash of blood coming from the wrist.
I heard the bull Roar again but in satisfaction.I cursed under my breath and heard the hooves of the bull pounding the ground. Getting ready to maim me again..but this time for good.
I heard Geoff come at the Bull but with no luck he was punched into the third house down from us.
I finally made it to Lake Ontario and drowned myself in the coolness.
I felt my cuts healing rapidly. The water was running through my body, Making me feel powerful. I stood up feeling stronger.
"Courtney get into the car !" I saw my mom in the red pickup and ran over. Getting in i saw that Geoff was still in the yard."Mom ! Geoff !" She hesitated but pushed me out the door. I searched for Geoff everywhere.
He was sprawled against the green,cut, grass. I pulled him onto my back, He was actually very light.
I ran to the truck and hopped in buckling Geoff into his seat.
I looked into the back window, noticing that the Bull wasnt there anymore. He was gone. I sighed and closed my eyes, i was so tired. My lie was becoming my greek mythology book.
I was walking through water actually breathing. My mocha hair was moving gracefully with the water's current. I soon heard something, something faint.
"Hello Daugh-"
"Courtney, Geoff. Get up, We're here."
I stirred in my sleep and my eyes were blurred with a bright light. The sight soon became visible, We were in a forest.
There was a clearing where a golden door sat, it had vines embracing eachother it was beautiful.
