With all the Emma and Graham angst going around after what happened I thought I’d write a little fanfiction on the happier side, maybe in hopes to cheer some people up (including myself).
This is just my idea on how I’d like the series to end.

It had finally happened. After 2 years the battle was finally over, the curse on Storybrooke and it’s residents was now broken. All thanks to Emma Swan. Everyone had returned to Fairytale land and was now celebrating in the town square outside the castle. Snow and Charming were kissing under a storm of confetti, Jiminy Cricket and Geppetto were happily reunited Pinocchio, and Henry was off exploring the town of the world he had long been reading about for years.
All was right in the world it seemed, but Emma felt like something was missing. As everyone around her was happily partying it up she kept staring off at the Enchanted Forest. She was drawn to it for some unexplained reason.
Even though technically she was the guest of honor she thought she’d slip away for a bit, she never was fond of being the center of attention anyway. So she headed into the forest.
The woods seemed like they went on forever. She inhaled deeply as the scent of the woods filled her lungs, so this was her new home now. ‘Home…’ she thought to herself, Emma still couldn’t wrap her head around it. Just then she caught something out of the corner of her eye, a white flash. She turned to see what it is was and found that it was still moving. Emma decided to follow it.
The creature moved through the woods with such graceful speed Emma was finding it hard to keep up. But still she followed it. She caught a glimpse of it which caused her pace to slow for a moment, it was a wolf. And like that, the creature was gone.
Emma stood there unsure of what to do next. An odd feeling of defeat swept across her. She let out a sigh, it was probably time she head back now anyway. As she turned around she found herself beholding a sight that she never thought she’d ever see again, it was Graham.
Every wall that the hard as nails and tough as steel Emma Swan had ever put up to protect herself fell down in an instant. Before she knew what she was doing she had rushed over threw her arms around him. This caught Graham very much off guard but once focused he then returned the embrace.
After a moment she backed up and stared at him. Emma pinched his arm. “Hey!” He shouted in surprise. “Are you real?” She asked looking up at him. Graham nodded. ”But I, I saw you…” She got quiet. She found herself unable to say that word for some reason, she thought she had accepted what had happened but apparently that wasn’t the case. Emma rambled on, “Right in front of me… How are you…?”
Graham grabbed her hands as he tried to calm her down “You saved me.” Emma still looked confused. He went on to explain “When we kissed and my memories returned, even though I was killed in Storybrooke, because I remembered who I really was I was able to return back here. It’s because of you that I’m alive.”
Emma was still in a bit of shock, but it was a rather happy shock. Then something dawned on her, “Does that mean you’ve been all alone here for 2 years?” He shrugged “Sort of. I’ve had the animals to keep me company. I’m used to being alone.” She gave a small all knowing smile “Yeah. Me too.”
Emma noticed his outfit, his fairytale attire was a huge change from the usual vest and leather jacket combo she had been so used to seeing him in. “You know your kinda wussy for a huntsman.” She said with a smirk. “Oh am I?” He teased back. “Who reacts that way over a little pinch on the arm?” Graham shook his head and chuckled “Alright, alright.”
The two stood there a moment just staring at each other and enjoying the moment. “I’ve missed you.” Graham admitted. “I’ve bet you’ve missed a lot of people.” She said trying to playing it off, because part of her was still afraid this wasn’t real. He repeated what he said again, only he emphasized one word in particular this time ”I’ve missed you.” Emma tried to hide the touched smile that was starting to spread across her face. She took a breath before finally genuinely confessing “I’ve missed you too.”
Just then the sound from the square started to drift into the forest. Emma had completely forgotten about that. “Oh! Everyone will be so glad to see your alive. We should go tell them the news.” Graham looked off to where the noise was coming from “Alright, but one thing first.” “What?” She asked. The music from the square quietly played in the background, while the sound a wolf howling could be heard in the distance, Graham pulled Emma close and gave her a kiss in which she gladly accepted.
