Edward quickly turned towards the way Rosalie had gone. He ran, I followed. When we got to where Rosalie was standing, I smelled it. Fresh human blood. Rosalie was staring at a grizzly bear, attacking a man. I looked at her, there was hurt in her eyes. The bear was trying to grab the boys chest. The boy was under the bears chest, trying to push the bear from under him. The boy was extremely strong for a human. I stared at Rosalie, this was the first time she was experienced with a human attack. What if she lost control of herself and attacked the human? I could barely handle the smell, I couldn’t imagine what Rosalie felt. Rosalie stepped forward. Oh!
“No! Rosalie!” Edward yelled. But it was to late, Rosalie slammed into the bear. She pushed the bear of off the boy. The boy was bloody, in every imaginable place. Rosalie picked the boy up, looked at me and Edward, nodded and then fled out of the forest. I looked at the bear, now dead on the ground, and then looked back up at Edward. His face was like stone, never moving, never flitching. He looked up and meet my eyes. Then we both ran after Rosalie while Edward explained what Rosalie wanted.
“She wants Carlisle to turn him, Esme.”
“Why?” I asked as we turned out of the forest and followed Rosalie’s scent.
“She wants him. Like a lover, kinda. She wants him as her partner.” Edward explained to me with a worried face.” Im worried that the smell will get to her. She may not be able to hold it. And what if Carlisle doesn’t turn him? What are we going to do then? How will we dispose of him? Rosalie would go insane.” So Rosalie did care. Humph this was totally different.
“Yeah she does care. About someone who isn’t herself. Ha, I didn’t think that it was possible.”
“Yeah, Rosalie truly does have a heart.” I told Edward with pure confidence. I knew it was in her. My mind quickly went to the boy. Who was he? Why was he in the forest? Would he become one of us? Would Carlisle accept it? Knowing him he would. He loved Rosalie and Edward just like I loved them. He would want the best for them. This would make Rosalie happy, I knew it. I looked over at Edward. His fac e was serious as we ran. He was a couple steps in front of me, but that was only because he was slowing down so I could catch up. Would Edward like this?
