2009, San Francisco.
Piper was baking her famous cookies when Phoebe walked in in the kitchen. She stopped right in front of Piper. “Do I look like an idiot?”, she asked, expecting to hear no. Piper kept continuing her baking, when she said: “Is that a trick question?” She put the plate with baked cookies on the table and looked at her younger sister, who seemed to be upset by her answer.
“Hey, Phoebes, I was just kidding”, she said in laughter. “You’re not an idiot and you know it well damn too” “Good, ‘cause apparently Jason Dean thinks I clearly am”, Phoebe said really pissed. Piper frowned. “Why? What happened?”
Phoebe grabbed a cookie and ate a bit of it. She made violent movements with her hand, causing the cookie crumble all over the floor. “Hey, watch it!”, Piper yelled. Phoebe kept her arms down as she saw the ‘damage’ she had caused. “Oh, sorry, I’m just so angry”, she said apologizing. “Yeah, I got that part”, Piper said. “What happened?” Phoebe sighed before giving Piper an answer.
“Okay. I saw Jason today in the office”, she started to tell. She grabbed another cookie and ate it. “No, really? What was he doing there? Oh, hang on a sec. Oh, right, he’s your boss”, Piper sarcastically said . Phoebe gave her an annoyed glance and she continued her story. “That’s not the point. You know I can’t control my empathy powers yet and I felt Jason’s feelings”, she paused to grab her third cookie.
“And you felt that he actually like guys”, Piper said, again being sarcastic. Phoebe gave her a tap on her shoulder. “Could you please quit the sarcastic comment? I’m trying to tell you something”, she said, so annoyed she had to grab another cookie. “Well, what did he feel?”, Piper asked, with a glance on her plate. If Phoebe kept eating cookies on that rate, there wouldn’t be any cookies left for the rest of the family.
“He loves me. He really does, Piper. So I told him I love him and I thought, I mean, I really expected him to say I love you, too, you know. But d’you know what really happened?”, she asked Piper. Piper shook her head. “No, Phoebes, you’re the empath around here, not me”
Phoebe grabbed her fifth cookie and crumbled it with her hands. “He took off. He’s flying to Rome”, she said angry. “Whàt?”, Piper gasped. “Yeah, apparently he finds his grandfathers vineyard more important than his girlfriend”, she finished really upset and she grabbed another cookie. “Hey, could you please stop eating all my cookies?”, Piper said. Phoebe shrugged and put the cookie in her mouth.
A few minutes later all cookies, or what was left of them, were ready to be eaten and Piper walked the plate to the living room. She put the plate on the living table and went back to the kitchen to get some saucers. Suddenly she heard an enormous pop and Phoebe screamed.
