Lexii was on her way to Madagascar tomorro. Julien had told her that it was beautiful there and that there were lots of other lemurs. He said he was a real king there and they had parties all the time. Lexii thought it sounded like a great place! A vacation is just what she needed!
         
        Lexii walked around the lemur habitat with Julien. He was telling her everything there was to know about Madagascar! She was really starting to like him as a good friend!
         Mort and Maurice were on the other side of the enclosure playing go fish. The day was going great! It was sunny out, not a cloud in the sky!
        Then Alice stepped into the habitat.. She grabbed all the lemurs and put little tracking bracelets on them. She put Mort and Maurice in a crate and put Lexii and Julien in another.
      Alice loaded them onto a truck and drove towards the shipping docks. Lexii stood up and looked around the crate. It was bigger than the one she had come to the zoo in. It was roomy and her and Julien could fit perfectly. Lexii looked over at Julien and smiled.
   "Its nice." Lexii said happily. 
Julien smiled back at her. Lexii couldnt wait till she got to see Madagascar! It was going to be a while before she got there though.. 

Lexii woke up in the middle of the night. She felt the box rocking back and forth. "We must be on the boat." she thought to herself. She stood up carefully, trying not to wake up Julien, and walked towards the small hole in the side of the box. 
     She looked outside at the ocean. It was calm except for a few waves here and there. She looked up at the sky. The moon was full and bright and the sky was decorated with twinkling stars. 
      Julien came up behind Lexii and put his hand on her shoulder. Startled, she jumped and hit her head on the ceiling. She rubbed her head and looked at Julien. "Ow." she said sarcasticaly.
       "Sorry i didnt mean to scare you." Julien said as he helped her off the floor. "I just wanted to see what you were doing up."
        "Its okay. I couldnt sleep so i wanted to look at the stars." Lexii said as she brushed her bangs out of her eyes. She smiled at Julien and went to her corner of the box. "We'd better get some sleep. We are almost to Madagascar. We'll probably be there tomorro afternoon." Lexii said happily as she laid down. 
     Julien smiled at her and also laid down and closed his eyes. He could hardly wait till tomorro!

Lexii sat up and stretched. The light was shining through the hole in the side of the box. She looked around and found Julien scratching something into the wood. "Morning Julien!" Lexii said cheerfully. 
       "GAH! Oh, uh,good morning Lexii!" said Julien who was desperatly trying to hide his drawing. Lexii had seen it already though. It was a drawing of her and Julien holding hands with a bunch of hearts around it.. She smiled and shook her head. 
     Lexii nodded towards his picture and smiled. "Watcha got there?" she said smiling slyly.
       "N-nothing! Heh." Julien said smiling nervously.
       Lexii smiled and rolled her eyes. She walked towards the small window and looked out. In the distance she could see the faint outline of Madagascar!
     She smiled. "Julien! Come look at this!" Lexii said as Julien walked over and looked out the window. 
    "Wow! Madagascar! Its so close!!" said Lexii.  Julien smiling. He reached his arm out the window as if he was trying to touch it. He tried to pull his arm back in but it wouldnt come. He tugged twice more. "Uh-oh..." said Julien as he pulled on his arm. He looked at Lexii. "Really?..." she said sarcasticly. "Let me see if i can help..." she sighed and walked over to Julien. She looked at his arm and gave it a tug. She pulled harder and harder but it wouldnt come out.. Lexii growled and braced her foot against the wall and pulled as hard as she could. It finally slipped free and Lexii and Julien went tumbling across the box. They landed upside-down on the opposite side of the box. They looked at eachother ond burst out laughing. The laughed for a while then looked into eachothers eyes. Lexii felt something she had never felt before. She cleared her throat and got to her feet. She pushed her bangs out of her eyes and smiled at Julien. They would soon be at Madagascar!


Lexii looked out the window at the beach infront of her. It was beautiful and full of trees and flowers. She suddenly felt the box jolt to one side then the other. Someone was carrying them to the shore. 
       The box jolted suddenly to the left and Lexii fell against Julien. He caught her and smiled. "Heh, sorry." Lexii said smiling.  Julien smiled and started to lean in to kiss her. Lexii blushed. Then just as they were about to kiss ,the box jolted again and they were thrown to the floor. 
Lexii got to her feet just as the box was set on the ground. A wall of the box came open and Lexii and Julien strode onto the beach. The man who was carrying the box, took it and went back onto the ship. Another person was a few yards away opening Mort and Maurice's box. Mort ran to Julien and clung to his feet. Julien growled at him. 
     Lexii rolled her eyes. Then looked towards the nearby forest. Julien also looked over and smiled. He grabbed Lexii's hand and pulled her towards the forest. "My kingdom is this way!" Julien said laughing and skipping deeper into the woods. Lexii giggled and followed Julien to a small clearing, filled with dancing lemurs!
