Truth in lies 4
It was about 4:00 am, and all but the lemurs were done partying.
Amber and skipper were pacing the floor, one waiting for dillain, the other for kowalski.
The fish bowl hatch opened, but only dillain came in.
"where's-" amber started to ask.
"oh, I... Forgive me, but I had to knock im out." dillain said, acting as innocent as possible.
"why?" amber asked.
"well, it's kinda a long story. He started saying your a jerk, cuz you've been hanging with me. So I started telling him up. So he pulls out a hand gun and loads it with bullets, while hea doing that I punch him and goes K.O. See? Totally self defense"
"I can't believe he would do that." skipper looked blamingly at dillain.
Amber hook her head. She whipped out a phone and started typing.
"what are you doing, amber?" private asked.
"changing my status."
Kowalski had come back a few days ago, but rates in hi lab since.
Dillain and amber were no where in the zoo, and it was a lazy Saturday morning for the guys, patrolling the zoo.
Until a huge cage dropped on them.
Without a word, the cage was hooked to a helicopter that transported them far, far, far away from the zoo, from new York, from north america...
Dillain handed amber a box, as they watched a red and orange
Sun set, falling beneath the horizon.
"what's this?" amber asked.
"well, now that we're together, I wante to give you this, to show you how much I love you." dillain said.
"amber opened the box, which was from j. Crew, and found a small ring. (it fit her as a bracelet, though.)
It was gold, with small red gems placed a little appart.
"rubies?" amber asked.
"ambers," dillain smiled, "because they're almost as beautiful as the real thing."
Amber didn't know hat to say. She slipped the ring on her arm. It felt a little light to be real, but it looked so authentic.
Then dillain took out a small gun, the same one he had used on kowalski. While amber looked Ito the red amber on her bracelet, dillain aimed t her shoulder, an loaded his gun.
"oh, amber?" he said, ready to pull the trigger.
She looked up, and froze.
"what- what are you do-" she fell to the ground not dead, just uncontious.
Amber awoke in a cage. She looked at her surroundings. Above her, the
Cage was connected to a chain that went up, up, up, to a ceiling that was so far, she couldn't see it.
Below her, the cage hovered about ten feet above a cauldron filled with hot lava, bubbling and popping. The steam rose up, making amber cough.
To the left, one cage hung. Inside, skipper stared ahead, scanning the expansive room.
To the right, private had his eyes trained on the lava below his cage, and beyond that, Rico searched the room, same as skipper.
Amber looked forward I a room almost similAr to blowhole's, but larger, darker, quieter and with a lot more machines.
"Skipper?" amber called.
He turned his attention to her.
"quick, see if you can find a way out of these cages, without falling into the lava." skipper ordered.
"oh, come it can't be THAT much lava," Amber looked Down again.
"oooooohhhhhhh." she saw that the hole in ground spanned farther than she had first thought.
As they looked, a familiar voice rang out, "so you like the new look? Charming, quite?"
