This story takes place shortly after the events of Portal 2 about a month or so after Chell escaped. Spoilers ahead but not too many. Enjoy! :D




"LEEEEEEEEXXXXXXIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Skipper cupped his flippers around his beak and yelled her name for the 5th time. Her, Julien, Mort, and Maurice had their boom box turned all the way up and were jumping around on the bouncy.
"LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEXXXXXXXXXXXXIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He tried again. No dice. He growled and marched over to the lemur habitat.


The music stopped suddenly and the lemurs all stopped jumping around and turned to look at a very angry Skipper. Julien hopped down and put an arm around the penguin.
"Hey Skippy! I see you have finally come to bask in my glory!" He said, straightening his crown. Skipper shoved him off and glared.
"No! I've been calling that one for ten minutes!!" He pointed at Lexii. She crossed her arms.
"I have a name, you know!" She retorted.
"Yes I know. I've been yelling it!!!" Skipper walked over and grabbed her tail. He began pulling her towards the penguin HQ while she protested.

The pair angrily hopped down the fish bowl and Lexii walked over to the table and sat by Private. He smiled at her and she couldn't help but smiling back.
"So why did y'all want me?" She said a little more cheerfully.
Kowalski cleared his throat. "We need your help getting into a weapons lab. The only way in is through a electrified 15 foot tall gate with a similar fence surrounding the premises. We have located a series of trees which lead over the fence. Being penguins we are not as agile in hopping between branches. That's where you come in. Being the lemur we can tolerate most, we chose you to hop from tree to tree, hop over the fence, and press the button to let us in." Kowalski held out his clipboard and showed Lexii a drawing of her hopping over a fence between two trees. "Do you accept this mission?" He finished. Everyone's eyes were on her.
She smiled. "Sure! Sounds fun!" She stood up and smoothed out her fur. "So when do we leave?"
"Right now!" Skipper said, finally smiling.


"Ugh! Rico I told you to go before we left!" Skipper swerved their car around a pothole. Rico muttered something that sounded like "I didn't have to go then!" and kicked the back of Skipper's seat.
Lexii scooted towards Private more. "I think you should let him go! I don't want any accidents when I'm sitting this close to him!" She said frantically.
Skipper banged his head on the steering wheel, making everyone jump as the horn went off. "UGGHHHH! FINE!" He slammed on the breaks and stopped about nine feet away from a bush. "Hurry!"
Rico flew out of the car and ran behind the bush. Lexii got up next.
"Hey imma go stretch my legs and walk a bit. I'll be back in five!" She hopped out and walked into the darkness away from the car. She jogged about 20 feet away and then stretched her arms above her head. She hated long car rides.
Lexii looked down at her stomach as is growled. She had skipped breakfast and had eaten half of an apple for lunch. Deciding to got look for something to eat, she walked farther away from the car. She reasoned that since they were in a field there had to be something edible.
In the distance she saw a dark figure against the sky. It was some type of shed or something. She smiled because she knew that humans sometimes put their harvest in sheds like this one. She bounded over to it, jumped up and grabbed the door handle, then opened it and stepped inside.
It was pretty dark but she could see some crates in the back. She began walking towards them quickly. Then all of a sudden, she was falling.
