The leopard seal flung Blake and Kiva off it's back and headed for the water hastily.
"Oof!" Kiva exclaimed as she hit the ground with a thud.
"Are you okay Kiva?" Sylvia called down from the plane.
"I'm okay." Kiva replied, standing up again. Kait caught up with the escaping seal and jumped on its back, scratching it deeply.
"A little help anyone?" She asked. Kiva ran over and began to pull the rope which was still dangling off the seal's back. Suddenly Ashley dropped from the sky and threw a few extra ropes around the seal, tying them in an intricate way, and turning them into reins. The seal roared in surprise and moved it's head down, causing Kait to slide off and, once again, fall in the seal's mouth.
"Woah!" Ashley exclaimed, as he began to pull the ropes harder, trying to stop the seal from eating his friend. "This would be easier if someone had a spear, or gun, or something." He remarked as he pulled the seal's head back.
"Didn't Kait have a gun?" Kowalski remembered, looking around for her belt. Meanwhile, the seal's head had been tipped back so far from Ashley's pulling, it had swallowed Kait alive! "Ashley!" Kowalski yelled in horror. Ashley dropped the reins in surprise, and his eyes widened.
"I- I didn't mean to, I was trying to loosen it's grip on Kait!" He tried to explain, looking panicky. Kiva glared at the seal, and jumped on it angrily.
"That's it you no good seal, you're gonna pay for that!" She said, as she began to beat it up, with all the force inside her. Meanwhile, Ashley was looking thoughtful, then jumped in the seal's mouth after Kait.
"Sylvia, help Kiva! I'm going in to help him!" Blake said, jumping in the seal's mouth also.
"Hmm..." Ashley said aloud, looking around the seal's stomach. He smiled when he noticed Kait, and went to grab her.
"Hey Kid, be careful, some seal's swallow their prey whole!" Blake warned him, looking alarmed. He stared into the seal's stomach and noticed a pair of glowing eyes in the darkest depths of it. "Oh ****. He managed, staring the eyes in surprise.
"I think we should get out of here." Ashley decided, grabbing Kait and jabbing hard at the seal's throat. "Let's make it throw up so we can get out."
"I've got a better idea." Kait piped up, grabbing her belt and pulling a gun from it. She then aimed at the stomach and fired. The seal exploded from the inside out, causing the penguins inside to fly into the air. They landed in a pool of blood and stood up shakily.
"That was a bit gory wasn't it lass?" Ashley asked, shaking the blood out of his feathers. He looked around and an alarm bell rang in his head. "Um, lads, where's Emma and Kiva?" He asked worriedly.
"Great, now two people are missing." Blake groaned, putting his flipper to his forehead.
"I hope they're okay." Ashley said, looking anxious. A thought struck him and he turned around. "Kait, don't you need to have some leopard seal blubber to cure you?" He asked. Before he got an answer, when the plane landed and Sylvia stumbled out.
"Finally!" She exclaimed, looking pleased with herself.
"Oh, hello lass, you haven't seen Emma or Kiva anywhere have you?" Ashley asked hopefully.
"No...are they missing?" Sylvia asked.
"I think so." Ashley replied gravely. "I wonder where they could be?" He murmured to himself, catching sight of the waterfall. "Hmm, do you think they could have fell off this?" Blake walked over and looked over the waterfall.
"Well Emma did at least." He answered.
"She did? Well let's go and find her!" Ashley decided, looking a bit happier. He looked over at Kait and saw her crawling out from under a part of the exploded seal.
"You guys go ahead.." Kait panted, getting up slowly.
"Are you alright lass?" Ashley asked in worry.
"I'll be fine.." Kait replied, looking a bit dizzy.
"Have you had any of the antidote yet?" Ashley questioned, looking doubtful.
"Well I bit the seal, but I guess I could have more, just to be on the safe side." Kait replied, picking up some of the blubber and eating it. Kowalski looked away and tried not to throw up.
"Okay, now let's find Emma and Kiva." Ashley said. "Should we take the plane?" He suggested.
"I wish Emmit was here, he could help." Sylvia thought aloud. Ashley nodded a little, though he wasn't sure on who Emmit was.
"For me, it'll be easy to get down." Kait remarked, staring down the waterfall.
"Yes, but not all of us can fly Kait." Kowalski reminded her.
"I know.." Kait replied, still staring down the waterfall. Sylvia was looking thoughtful and she turned to the others.
"Emmit just told me he was coming." She announced looking excited. Ashley stared at her in confusion.
How did he tell her, she wasn't on the phone or anything. He thought, heading toward the plane.
"Ashley, what are you doing?" Sylvia asked.
"Going to find Emma and Kiva, since no one else seems to be doing anything." Ashley replied, a little snappishly for him. He didn't understand why they were just stranding around, not actually going to find their friends. "Is anyone else coming?" He asked. Before anyone replied, Sylvia noticed a truck in the distance.
"That's Emmit." She said, looking excited. A tallish penguin with violet eyes jumped out of the truck and Sylvia smiled at him.
"So, is anyone else actually coming, or am I going to have to go by myself?" Ashley asked, looking irritated.
"I'm coming." Sylvia said heading towards the plane wit Emmit and Blake. Kait jumped off the waterfall, and down towards the forest below, and looked at Kowalski.
"Are you coming?" She asked.
"I think I'll take the plane." He replied, heading to the plane. Meanwhile, Dylan had finally got his seatbelt off, which had jammed when he was asleep, and he realised that he couldn't get it off when he woke up. Ashley jumped at the seatbelt noise and turned around.
"Dylan, have you been in here this whole time?" He asked in shock.
"Woah, I didn't even notice." Sylvia remarked. "What were you still doing on here?"
"My seatbelt jammed and I couldn't get out." Dylan explained.
"Well you're gonna have to buckle up again now." Ashley said, starting up the plane.
"Why, are we going home?" Dylan asked. He looked around then stared at Ashley in confusion. "Where's Emma?" He asked, suddenly looking worried.
"W- we don't know, we're going to look for her and Kiva." Ashley explained, as the plane lifted off the ground, and they began to search for their friends.
I hope she's okay. Dylan thought, fidgeting in his seat, and staring out of the window anxiously.
(Little note: Though Dylan seemed to disappear off the face of the actual RP, I had the idea for the storyline in my head at a very early stage, so he's still gonna be in the story. :P So there will be a few, tiny changes in later chapters.)
