"Alright, we'll go when your ready, Kat." Ice said. "I'm ready now." Kat replied. Ice slung on his heavy military bag. The waves were calm that night. Kat dove first, followed by Ice. Cool salt water covered Ice's face and his eyes stung the tiniest bit. Kat turned around under the water and saw Ice. She grabbed his drenched flipper and pulled on him. Ice swam trying to keep up with Kat. She began to slow down. The scenery was beautiful. Huge coral reef beds of all colors shimmered under the moonlight. Kat's shiney feathers seemed to shimmer too. Ice watched as a school of yellow goatfish swam by on a purple piece of coral. He could feel relaxation taking away all of his stresses and fears.
Kat glanced at a few fairy basslets nibbling at red coral. She smiled under the water. Kat felt happy again. It was all so pretty. A beautiful bluefish tickled her foot as it swam by. Kat was feeling funny now. A sick feeling. Sorta like being dizzy. "It's nothing." She thought. Kat decided to change her mind and began struggling toward the surface. She was reacting slower, blackness was starting to surround the corners of her purple eyes. Something grab Kat under her flippers and quickly swam to the surface.
Ice grabbed Kat, dragging her limp body toward the surface. Their heads broke the surface, and Ice coughed loudly. He had been on the verge of almost drowning too. Kat was unconscious. He squeezed her belly. Water ran out of her beak. She let out a loud cough and gasp for air. Kat fought to get free then realized what had happened and who was holding her. "I-I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to do that." Kat said, tearing up. "It's all right, I know you forgot about everything, like me." Ice cooed gently. Kat just sighed. Ice planted a quick and gentle kiss on her forehead. Kat blushed severly. She yawned and rested her head on his chest. "What's that?" Ice asked. "What's what?" Kat lifted her head of his chest. The water was having a eerie blueish glow. "It's so pretty." Kat said tiredly. "We must be in the littler gulf called the Gulf of Suez." Ice said, trying to show off in front of Kat. "Where's that at?" Kat sighed. "Inside the Gulf of Aden, just a small crevasse that leads to Cario." Ice said, still showing off. "Is there a beach, me wanna go sleepy." Kat rested her head back on Ice's chest. Ice smiled and blushed. "There should be a beach called Hurghada." Ice said. "Can we go back underwater?" Kat asked. "NO!!!" Kat flinched and shoved Ice away. "I'm sorry, I don't want us to almost drown again, I sorta panicked..." Kat sighed and pulled Ice back. "It's alright." "Come on, the bag's becoming a weight." Kat nodded and dove underwater. Ice dove and grabbed her flipper so they didn't lose each other. Kat and Ice both smiled as another group of fish swam by. The moon shimmered on Kat's feathers more. Ice's eyes drooped sleepily in love. Kat saw a stonefish and smiled again then looked at Ice. He had a goofy expression plastered on his face. Ice blinked and saw her staring at him. He fixed his expression and began blushing.
"Way to go, Icey, embrassing yourself always wins a certain lady's heart..." The voice in Ice's mind teased. Ice swam upward toward the surface, pulling up Kat with him. Kat looked really tired. He would've said something if they hadn't tumbled onto the Hurghada Beach. Kat grabbed Ice and shivered. It was really cold. After all, it was a desert. Just with a few mud building. Ice dropped his bag and wrapped his flippers around Kat, shivering too.
Kat laid on the sand, pulling Ice down with her. She smiled. Ice was good and warm. Ice's head rested gently on Kat's chest. Ice smiled and blushed a little. He could learn to like the cold if it gave him this.
Kat was warm again. Ice was laying beside her, extremly close. They listened to the waves crash onto the shore. The ocean was glowing beautifully again. Ice yawned and stretched his flipper out. Kat laid her head on it and snuggled close. "That's a pretty star, so shiney and bright like your eyes." Ice murmured softly. "That's sweet.." Kat murmured back. "Will you stay here for a second? I promise I'll be right back, I just wanna get something." Ice asked. "Of course, I trust you." Kat replied smiling.
"Woah," Ice thought, "Maybe 3 days and 4 nights really does have a effect on people." Ice pulled a small, velvety box from his bag. He opened it. It was a necklace that had a K on it. It was gold and crusive. The K was embriored with diamonds. It cost him a fortune. Ice had bought it and stashed it back for the right moment. Ice walked back to Kat. "Hey Kat, come with me for a moment..." "Okay, what's wrong?" Kat asked. "Nothing... just follow me.." Ice replied, taking her flipper in his. He walked Kat to the shore, where the waves gently washed up to their feet. Ice kneeled down on one knee, and opened the case. "Kat, would you take the honor of being my girlfriend?" Ice asked smiling. Kat looked nervous then smiled. "Of course Ice..." Ice jumped up, pulled out the necklace, and put it on Kat's slender neck. He smiled and kissed her cheek. "Now, my lovely girlfriend, shall we go and lay back down?" Ice asked smiling happyily. "Yes, that'd be perfect!" Kat bounced up and down. Ice smiled wider.
Ice laid back down in the same spot. Kat smiled and laid on his chest. "Now all we need to do is watch out for Voliet and Shadow." "They won't like this." Kat said. "I have a feeling, they have more urgent matters right now...." Ice murmured. "I love you Kat...." Ice said, then fell asleep. "I love you too Ice..." Kat replied.
