Hello and welcome to Fright Freaks! I assume you've come here because you are a) fans of horror movies and/or television and b) want to get to know others who are like you. Either way, you have come to the right place. Please take a few minutes of your time to read this article which is a little how-to guide for first-timers to spots like these and the "etiquette" for them. Don't worry, it's nothing too extreme :)
1. Introdice yourselves!
You can do this in many ways, but there are 3 main ways that are 100% acceptable.
1) Post a link to your Fanpop profile. Simple of course, maybe provide a description of yourself in the body.
2) Post a video of yourself. This could be of you in person much like the one I posted, or you could compile a quick 3 minute video in WMM with a little intro to yourself and post it.
3) Write an article! Make a bio, complete a survey, or just make a list of things about yourself. Don't forget to include pictures! :P
2. Get hacktive!
This is the kind of spot that thrives on user activity! I want this spot to be as successful as it can be. I'm interested in getting to know other horror fans, as I hope everyone else in the spot is. If you aren't here to make friends, you shouldn't be here! Start a forum! Post pictures! Think up an awesome pick! Anything you can think of that is relevant to this spot, please don't hesitate!
3. Tell your fiends!
Like I said, this spot thrives on user activities! Invite your friends to the spot if they are fans of anything to do with horror. Just don't promote us to irrelevant spots because that will turn users away from us and make us think we're like all the others. When clearly we're not! We're totally different :)
4. Add terror-iffic content!
This is the most important step of them all. Obviously I don't have complete control of the spot and what users add to it. It's a free site after all, BUT I would like to set upon some rules. First of all, I don't want this spot to be cluttered with everything that is posted in the Horror Movies spot. These are two different spots. The HM spot is about horror movies (duh, right?) and the FF spot is about the FANS of said horror movies (and tv shows). That said, please try to follow these simple content-posting rules.
1) Add your Fanpop username to everything you submit. Even if it is not OF you, it would make it easier to look up a user in the spot.
2) Try your hardest not to add every video, picture, link, or trivia that has to do with just any horror movie. Try to keep those related to your very favorite things.
3) Images & videos of yourself are perfectly acceptable! This is about you, remember?
4) Also you may submit content that you like that is not specifically horror related. For example, say your favorite tv show is Lost. Want to show it off? Sure, add an image or two to the gallery stating it is your favorite show. Totally fine :)
