NEWS:

H2O Is now playing in the U.S!!!! Don't forget to watch it! It's on weekdays @ 6:00 and 6:30 Pm, and usually weekends @ 1:00 and 1:30 Pm. Another show about mermaids that will be showing soon is Aquamarine. H2O will NOT be making a Season 4, Sorry. (Reasons why, and Proof: I've talked to the REAL Phoebe Tonkin. The characters are getting to old to film H2O, anymore. Some of them are even starring in T.V. shows or Movies at the moment). GOOD NEWS: They will be making a 'Spin Off' Series called, "Mako: Island of Secrets." This is created by Jonathan M. Shiff (The same producer of H2O), and includes ALL NEW Mermaids! This will be coming out in late 2012. :D

Here is the description for, "Mako: Island of Secrets"

When 15-year-old Zac goes camping on Mako Island, he has no idea his every move is being monitored by real-life mermaids Sirena, Nixie and Lyla, whose job it is to ward off trespassers. When he comes into contact with the magical waters of the Moon Pool on the night of a full moon, Zac is given a taste of Mako’s powers, waking the next day to discover he has been granted fin-like feet and the power to control water…causing all sorts of trouble for Sirena, Nixie and Lyla.




THREADS AND FUN ACTIVITIES!

•Mermaid Swimming Styles

•Graceful Mermaid- Go down a lot with arms and hands outstretched, and then come up a lot with arms and hands outstretched. This idea is from H20 just add water.
•*Fast OR *Slow Swim: Start with arms to your side, and then do the mermaid swim fast or slow. (Called fast Swim if your doing it fast or slow Swim if you’re doing it slow)
•Moonlight Mermaid- Outstretch your arms and hands and go down a little and come up a little (Still with arms and hands outstretched). This idea is from Cleo Sertori on H20 Just add water.
•Twirly Tail- Swim the Graceful mermaid, then do a perfect twirl and keep swimming the graceful mermaid.
•Jumping flip tail- Jump into the water and burst of bubbles and then flip your tail in the air.

•The Journey- Swim the Graceful Mermaid and then swim down then up to the surface.
•Treasure Search-Put the seashells, arts and crafts, tin foil stuff, and ect. at the bottom of the pool and dive for it like a mermaid.
•Dolphin Trainer- Stand straight up with your tail standing on the bottom and look around with hand motions moving in different directions like your training dolphins.
•Up and Down Swim- Go up as far as possible, then come down while stretching your back greatly while coming down.



FUN UNDERSEA PROJECTS!!!

-Making a giant coral Reef! – Roll up and twirl tin foil balls and staple them together to make a giant coral reef…to even hide behind as mermaids!!
-Little coral reef piece filled with lost treasures and sequins- Wrap tin foil around paper cups and staple them together, add sequins, and fill cups with pearls and ect. Be sure to poke a hole in the bottom of the cup so it will sink.
-Clay Projects and pottery- Use clay to make sea turtles, fish, ect. While making, add sequins to stick, and SPARKLE!
-Take a soft drink bottle, and add rocks, pearls, and treasures, inside, Decorate cap with tin foil and screw back on.

1. Go on Youtube and type in, "How to make your own mermaid tail"
2. Click on the first choice! This video is the BEST overall, and is NOT confusing at all!



Mermaid Spell:

1. Get a piece of jewelry (a piece that will symbolize you being a mermaid once you've completed these steps).
2. Make up YOUR OWN spell (You own spells will work BEST!)
3. Touch water, and say your spell while clenching your piece of jewelry.
4. When finished, dry off, and drop water on you EVERY DAY for a FULL WEEK.
5. Watch for Side-effects!

Ipad and Ipod touch game: Buy the "H2O: Just add water" game on your ipod touch or ipad! This game lets you upload and decorate photos, and send them/email them to anyone as a gift, or save them to your album!:D You can also decorate the Moon Pool! This game also tells you how many days until the full moon so you don't miss the magic moment!

DVD: Buy the H2O: Just Add Water season 1, volume 1 DVD on Amazon. This DVD can be played in the U.S.A!!!

Music: Buy the H2O: Just add water Season 3 C.D. This includes the H2O theme song (both regular, and the "You-Sing-It-Version") plus some of Bella's songs!

Books: Buy some H2O books on Amazon or just books that have to do with mermaids in general. Some Books include: "Real Mermaids: Don't Wear Toe-Rings," "The Tale of Emily Windsnap" (A Book Series), "Forgive My Fins," & Lastly, "Fins are Forever." They're good reads, if you're interested in Mermaids, like me!
