The Simpsons Movie is a 2007 animated film. The film has become quite popular.

Plot

Springfield has become dangerous for the environment so Homer Simpson decides to help. I'm joking. Homer actually dumps some hazardous waste in a river. Mr. Cargill plans on having Springfield destroyed. It's up to Homer to learn the importance of family and save his city.

The plot may be predictable, but the film works because it's about Homer. The plot has enough sweet and funny moments to work. Not the best plot ever, but it's pretty good.

Characters

Homer Simpson is a good protagonist. He's a likeable and entertaining guy. Several of the film's funniest scenes come from Homer. Mr. Cargill is a fun villain who's very well voiced by Albert Brooks. However I wish that the main villain of the film is Mr. Burns. Thankfully Mr. Burns shows up in a few scenes. Homer's pig is a pretty fun comedy relief character.

Animation

The film's animation looks like the show's animation. As usual the characters look cool. Overall it's good animation.

The Simpsons Movie is a well made animated comedy film. I recommend the film to comedy fans.
