A year has passed since the massacre on Harper's Island in 2011. and the life went differently for people who survived it. Christopher Sullivan and Abby Mills went on a European tour to see different places and to get away from the horror. Eventually, Abby met a man in Ireland and got married to him. Sully returned to his home, accompanied by attractive Romanian girlfriend Daria. He knocked on his parents house and they were thrilled to see him in live after a year of absence. He was also happy to see them and asked how they were. Sully's mother Susan is a police inspector and a person he was inspired by to become a private investigator with Booth before he left. Sully's father Mark is an artist. They were both very supportive on him for wanting to leave and hoped that he got over it. Sully asked them about his friends and how they were. He said that he's going to see how Booth is now doing and weather he wants him to continue working together.
On the other hand, Wellingtons had to pack their bags and to go to a big estate on North of Vancouver to go to another wedding. The big surprise was, the wedding was the one of Katherine Wellington and her new boyfriend, rich Internet magnate and peer, Dominic Newton. They were about to get married on his parent's estate. Trish was quite upset about it all, but decided not to make a fuss about it and to go. Richard was going with her and Madison called that she's going to be late cause she's working as a photographer. Cal Vandeussen, who became a very good friend of the family, is now working as their stay-in doctor, providing for Gertrude, who was still immobile due to her stroke. He and Chloe split-up almost immediately after they returned on shore.
Katherine presented her family to Dominic, who already met Richard and Madison, and Lady Agatha, his mother, who didn't seam to be pleased by the fact that her son is marrying Katherine. Trish said that she doesn't feel comfortable about it either. Madison wasn't keen on Katherine in general, no matter if she actually was nice to her. Even if Katherine kept her promise about not going in public with the fact that Shea was involved in Harper's Island massactr, something just didn't feel right.
Sully knocked on Booth's door and Booth's girlfriend Meredith opened them. She was pleased to see Sully and told him that Booth has became obsessed with the island case and that he is constantly working to prove that Shea didn't do it. She said that he has become bitter and a difficult person to deal with. Sully went on to see his friend and after a short initial conversation, he realized that Meredith is right. Booth kept on saying that Shea was set-up and possibly Henry too. He said that the only person who could possibly be behind it is Katherine and that he is furious that she got away with it and is marrying tomorrow. Sully said that he think he could be right and that he doesn't want to leave Trish near Katherine if she killed her sister and set her up. He suggested that they get rid of all the doubts and go to Katherine's wedding. Booth called Madison and told her that he and Sully and comming and asked her if she could provide them with three more tickets (Meredith was going too) and the info on Katherine's new household. Madison accepted the challenge and says there is no problem.
Katherine went on walk with her best friends, the Rays, Iris and Dwight, who were millionaires and philantropists closely associated with local police. Iris and Katherine were long term friends, who were also leaders of a crime organization, nicknamed The White Queen (Iris) and The Red Queen (Katherine). All three of them talked about how they got away with organizing Harper's Island Massacre. Reason why they did it were jewells, tons of gold, jewellery and treasure that belonged to Gertrude Castle, Trish and Shea's grandmother, including the sapphire crown, Sea Star. Katherine was quite a collectionar, so they made a double trick, selling all the jewells to some Old Biddy, who wanted them by any cost, while substituting them at the same time with perfect copies, made by skilled forger, Borofsky, hence keeping both real treasure and the tons of money Biddy paid to get to it. The Donohue couple, the smugglers who appeared on island, were their accompliced as well, doing the actual substitution when everybody were confused to see what is happening. And the corrupt police department, with their chief Winston, took care that police does their job in the way that it doesn't involve any of them or helps to solve anything for real.
Iris asked Katherine what are her plans with marrying Dominic and Katherine replied that she loves his money, but also him. As the trio laughed their victory, Katherine received a phone call, an unknown voice, threatning her, saying in raspy voice that Shea Allen is alive and next to him and that and that she needs not to marry Dominic and to pay 20 million dollars unless she doesn't want to be discovered as a murderer. Katherine was terrified and wasn't able to call that person back. Dwight was especially mad, saying that one stupid mistake might cost them their plan. Katherine said that Shea did have a 10% chance of surviving, but that it is less possible and even if she did, there are staged evidence that would put her to jail and Shane's employer. They talked about who might be responsible for the blackmail, and Katherine said that most likely is either Booth, who just won't let it go, or Jimmy, in case he is the real second killer and set-up Henry like she did to Shea. Dwight said that he will put both on survailance. He also said that if Gertrude talks that they are done and that she should have killed her a year ago.
That evening, Madison and Simone, her maid, welcomed Booth, Meredith and Sully, who came just in few hours. Madison said that she asked Dominic for there more close friends, without saying anything to Katherine. Booth said that he wants to talk to Trish, Richard and Cal as well. Madison called them and they were surprised to see them, especially Sully, who they didn't even know was returning. Trish and Sully looked at each other, knowing that they are not indifferent to one another. Trish was upset when Booth said he is investigating again and that Shea did not do it. He said that her sister, husband and daughter should trust her innocence. Richard said that he wants to, but that he and Lucy saw the documents that Katherine gave them, saying that Shea employed Shane to slay the island. Booth said that he was convinced that the documents were forged. Madison was the first to agree with Booth. Cal, Trish and Richard were bit more reluctant, but said that Katherine's lack of past and sudden gain of money are suspicious and that they will try to investigate it. Meredith only warned Booth that if they check it out and he's wrong, but he continues, that she will leave him.
Katherine received another call while making out with Dominic. That person again wanted money and calling-off of her engagement. Katherine lied to Dominic that it was one of her friends about the wedding gift. Meanwhile, Jimmy Mance was returning to his house. There was a beautiful brunette, who warned him that they are on survailance. Jimmy suspected Katherine, since he always thought that she set-up Shea. He said that they must pay her a visit, and make sure nobody follows him.
