In England, the word "Herb" is pronounced with the H. Do you think that's correct?

......because I think it makes more sense to pronounce the H in the word.

I'm American. Yet I pronounce it this way without knowing it comes from England. But I won't judge. But it kind of does make sense to pronounce it with a H. Otherwise what a terrible use of a letter.
