"So did he ever really ask you? Or was it all just...implied?"
"Well...we went back to my place...."
_______________________________________________
House was sitting on Cuddy's couch drinking a glass of scotch. He was waiting for Cuddy. She came out from Rachel's room and closed the door quietly. She wanted to tuck her in when they made it back to her house. She walked over by House and sat on the opposite side of the couch staring at him.
"Is my drinking seducing you?"
"Yes, why wouldn't it?"
He finished off the last of the scotch in his glass and then they both put their feet up on the couch overlapping each others.
"So, are we?"
"We are. And I think the reply you gave me at the office confirms that."
She gave a smirk. Suddenly a faint cry came from inside the bedroom. Cuddy got up and so did House.
"Shit. I'll be back."
"I need to spend time with her anyway."
Cuddy sat back down on the couch watching him suspiciously as he limped towards the room. He opened the door and she was crying Bloody Mary, which made House's eyes shoot wide open. He took off his jacket, laid his cane against the wall and slowly walked over to her crib. He picked her up and rested her on his shoulder and tried shushing her to calm her down. As she continued to scream, he looked around the room searching for something. Outside, Cuddy was waiting on the couch with a scotch in her hand listening to the penetrating shrieks called out by her daughter. But suddenly in one quick second, she stopped crying. Overwhelmed by this sudden action, she made her way back to the room to see what he had done. She was only a few steps away from the room when she had heard music coming from inside. She pushed the door open and there they were. House was swaying with the music while holding Rachel. Her head was drooping like her eyes, and she fell asleep on his shoulder. After he saw that she closed her eyes, he put her back into the crib and tucked her in the blanket. Cuddy just stood there in the doorway, watching the guy she knew as her pain in the ass, put her child to sleep.
"Slip her some Vicodin?"
He spun around and saw her smiling with her arms folded in the doorway. He smiled back with his eyes wide,
"Yeah. About five."
"Come on."
They both walked out of the room and back to the couch. They formed the same position again, but this time it was a while before anyone talked.
"She likes you."
"She just enjoys music."
"She was content when you were holding her."
"Because I smell like mommy. Your scent rubbed off on me and she felt a sense of, you, on me. I smelled familiar."
"It's hard to compliment you when you prove it wrong by making differentials, forcing it to be what it's not, instead of admitting what it is."
"I have my reasons for it."
"Inconclusive."
"Okay. I do it for the better of others."
"Inconclusive."
"You know we could go on like this all night..And I had other plans in mind. It's up to you though. If you think this is fun..."
Then he folded his hands and arms and put them behind his head. She looked at him with arm propped up on the armrest with her index finger and thumb supporting her head.
"Examining me? Much more fun." Then he popped two tablets of Vicodin into his mouth. The exchanged curious looks at each other for minutes.
"This feels weird."
"Shouldn't it?"
"Why should it?"
"Because, it can."
"Don't be vague."
"Tell me, does this feel weird?"
And he came forward from his side of the couch and kissed her. Their lips met tenderly and pressed against each other with gentle force.
"It felt familiar."
"But not weird."
"No."
"Then what does?"
"The fact of us, together. Doesn't it feel, strange?"
"It's new. The symptoms are old, the diagnosis is new..."
She still sat there, unconvinced.
"After a while, things will settle. Trust me."
"Don't go making promises you can't keep."
"I'm keeping all of them. Including my first promise. You get everything you want, for giving me the only thing I need."
"The leg thing? Look--"
"Shut up."
"Make me."
"With pleasure."
He began kissing her again and continued till they fell asleep. The next morning they were on the floor. He could hear her breathing so he opened his eyes and found her lying on top of him. So he began sliding his finger up and down her chest.
"What are you doing?" She was half asleep but she could still feel him.
"Looking for your heartbeat."
"Why?"
"I can hear it making beautiful music."

"...And then we went to work pretending like nothing happened."
"Hm. Interesting."
"I know right?"
"He's tender."
"Why wouldn't he be?"
"More so than I've seen him. Sounds more dedicated too."
"He's not prepared to screw this up. He's dedicated for a reason."
"Mmm. Well, you've got your divisor, I've got my dividend."
"Let's just see what the quotient will be, and how long it goes for."

"Day damn one. Day damn one."

Later on that day.....
I was walking through the halls just thinking about what just happened: the most hurtful thing of the day.
I couldn't find the words. Hearing his voice, the way it was. It hurt too much. So I slammed it down on the receiver, trembling.
I can't believe I hadn't been there. Did I have a choice? Did I want to go? No, my loyalty had lied with Cameron and Chase..
No. Now I'm just feeding myself bullshit. My own made up excuse to avoid the truth....
But what was I more afraid of...Watching him walk away, into his own prison or letting him leave, for...

It, had happened. They had slept together. Though, she doesn’t regret it, surprisingly. It was all a big blur, really. One small kiss, led to a intense make out, then the make out led to clothes flying off, slamming each other into walls, and finally into his bedroom. And, here she is, at this very moment, quietly putting on her underwear and clothes back on, while he slept soundly. His eyes closed tightly shut, mouth ajar, his breathing loud, but steady. She doesn’t know if she should feel guilty for leaving him or not, it’s not like he wanted her to stay. Plus,...

"Stop this."
"Drop it Wilson."
"Do you see what you're doing to him?"
"I'm well aware of the damage I am causing. Now please get out of my room."
"I'm not going to discharge you until you talk to me."
"With what power?"
"My department power. I can hold you back for cancer tests on you and the baby. Even if you are the Dean, your still a patient. "
She sighed. She had a clever retort but she knew he had something to say, so she held her tongue.
He just stared at her at first. Then gave a slight scoff. It wasn't a negative scoff, more like an entertained scoff. He smiled then slid his hand down his...

House walked into his house, hanging his cane on the edge of the archway, making his way to the couch to knock out. He slept for several hours before Wilson called from work around five.
"What the hell do you want?"
"Do you love her?"
"This is a very popular question people like to ask me."
"Do you?"
"Yes, parts of her. "
"I'll take that as a yes."
"Couldn't this wait?"
"I had to make sure."
"Why would you need to make sure...What would you need to make sure of..."
Wilson remained silent.
"You know what I'm doing don't you."
"Yeah."
"Was it the way I was acting or did you check my planner--?"
"You left it...

Chapter 5
The soft tap of fingers against a keyboard mixed with a gentle drone of voices from a radio atop a bookshelf in the corner, filled Lisa Cuddy’s office with the quiet sounds of her work. Grabbing her mouse, Lisa tapped it twice, effectively sending the last of her email correspondence scurrying across the World Wide Web. Finally finished returning her long list of emails, she maneuvered the mouse up and signed out of her inbox before leaned back in her chair and giving her body a well deserved stretch. Stifling a yawn with the back of her hand, Cuddy glanced across her office at the...

The oppressive silence was hovering over them like an invisible dark cloud. It felt like a dream, an unreal state of mind they had been pushed into.
Their patient’s chart was laying in the middle of the table, bright red and yet left untouched. From time to time they looked at it, their eyes reflecting the chaos inside their heads and it was obvious that the red object on the table didn’t have a part in their thoughts at all.
It was just...

Loud music flooded through his small apartment off campus. Students scattered everywhere, from his kitchen, to his living room and through the hallway of his place. He sat there on a wooden bar stool, hunched over slighty, and taking swigs of his cold beer in his hand. He watched in the living room, as couples grinded to the music together. He tooks another swig of the beer, now staring from across the room as the green door to the outside creaked open, letting in a cool refreshing breeze, though he could barely feel it. Then he saw her legs, pale but very smooth. Her legs seemed to go on...

Hey everyone so I decided to enter this round, little bit of a warning I hope the ending isn't to abrupt but I was pushing the word limit, hope you enjoy.

A cloud of dust descended upon Cuddy and she coughed and winced against the fragments of forgotten suburbia. She flayed her arms widely in the air trying to wipe away the particles that were scratching at her eyes and flying up her nose, but the dust had its own motives. She regretted opening the hatch, but once the dust had cleared and she could see again, she peered into the darkness of her parent’s attic and into a part of time she...

It was late afternoon and after a busy day at work she was eager to spread out on the couch and rest. She stepped out of the car, it was a cold afternoon and the pavement was covered with a thin layer of water from the last time it rained. Once inside, she let her keys fall on the little table right next to the door; her shoes and coat were left where they dropped as she made her way to the living room.

Little Rachel was with Wilson, who had volunteered to pick her up from daycare and stayed with her. He made an excuse that he needed more contact to his cute new “niece” and that the new...

The sound of her staletoes clicked as she walked on the cheap tile floor, her pace wasn’t too fast nor too slow, it was just right. Her walk showed confidence, constantly moving her hips in a rhythm. Her skin like porcelain, and her eyes blue with a hint of gray in them. The toned muscles in her legs were astonishing, every inch of was beautiful. She looked as if she were hand crafted by...
