Onyx sat at his desk, completely tuned out of the history class he was being dragged through. Gazing out the window, he admired the beach nearby his school. He passively observed the waves that collided upon the rocks, following with his eyes the gentle sea spray that followed each powerful blast.
The room began to clear out, and Onyx realised that the bell must have gone. He continued to 6th period, floating mindlessly to his English classroom. Luckily for him, he could position himself near the window and watch the waves again. Twenty minutes into the class, his teacher ordered for the students...

Sibyl, a newly marked fledgling, bit her lip. She slowly opened her mother's bedroom door, but it creaked.
"Sibyl! What's wrong?"her mother asked from her bed. Sibyl stepped in and, as soon as she saw her, her mother jumped from her bed to examine the new Mark on her forehead. "Sibyl! OhmyGAHD why?!"she demanded in an obnoxious voice. She hugged Sibyl close to her chest.
"Mom... Can't... BREATHE!!!"she wheezed. Her mother released her.
Sibyl's mom was tall and skinny. Her black hair was poofy with little curls on the sides. She had almond-shaped hazel eyes, and so did Sibyl herself.
