Handsome Vittorio
Hi everyone, from I had read, the Italian Tenor was originally be part of the line-up. But decline to pursue a solo career instead, so here are my thoughts on whether he should be part of the band or not.

Yes, He Should!

I personally think that he should be part of the band, because Italy is famous for their well-known tenors. So he is the perfect candidate, and I was very disappointed that he decided to leave in the first place!
He would be considered as the youngest member of the gang if he had not leave.

No, He Made the Right Decision

Since he was already well known prior to Il Divo, he would not be part of the band. If this was so, it would alienate many of his fans, and not to forget Il Divo's fan who grew a liking on the quartet themselves. So, he made the right decision!

Conclusion

If you think that he should be in the band, I don't mind at all!

SWEET AND CHEESY
If one band sums up Valentine's Day down to the last petal on a ridiculously priced red rose, it is Il Divo. They're incredibly attractive, sing romantic songs for a living and are, let's face it, just a little bit cheesy. (They're the quattro fromaggio of pop opera.) But when The Diary's reluctant Valentine's correspondent, Sarah Whyte, caught up with US tenor David Miller yesterday, he told us (please insert gasps of righteous anger here if you're a V-day convert) that he was ''not necessarily a fan'' of Valentine's Day. Quelle horreur! This is a man who has performed in more than 650 shows over eight years, singing songs with titles such as Dove L'Amore, The Power of Love, Unbreak My Heart! He even admitted 90 per cent of his quartet's songs are romantic. ''I feel like Valentine's Day puts a lot of pressure on people to be romantic and the thing that kills romance is pressure,'' the tenor concedes, who is married to soprano Sarah Joy Kabanuck. But it seems it's not all that compatible to be anti-Valentines and an opera star. Tonight Miller will be crooning to a sold out, loved-up crowd - who are probably fans of the over-hyped February 14 - at the Opera...

Today Is The Day! - A blog from Urs

Today is the day: Our first show at the London Coliseum! Everything we've done over the last few weeks has lead up to this moment.

We visited the venue back in may and got the grand tour by the technical manager Dewi who has been working in this theatre for more than 30 years. Of course he had a lot of stories to tell. He showed us the seats where the phantoms usually sit and watch the shows... Anyway, we're very excited to perform in this iconic theatre and home of the English National Opera.

We have been pretty much away from the public eye after we'd finished the 2009 world tour and the Christmas shows. We have spent a lot of that time since in the studio, recording and refining our upcoming new album, to which the coliseum shows are a kind of a launch event.

The first time we performed a song from this new repertoire was at the Royal Albert Hall, where we got the award for "Artist of the Decade" at the Classic Brits. It was then and there where we worked for the first time with Brian Burke, an artistic director from Vegas, who is best known for the 5 year running Celine Dion show...

Hello Guys,

I have been offered to mentor Joseph from Toploader for Popstar to Operastar, I had such a great time with him.

You have to vote for him this sunday. It was my first experience as a mentor i loved it.. it's such a great opportunity to talk about il divo and the experience of being a pop singer and learning through out the years from Carlos, Urs and David. I could then easily help Joseph because of my back ground in the pop world and also because of my 3 friends who i thank very much for sharing there knoweleges with me over the years.

Lots of love,

Sebxxx

PS: I hope to see you soon again on TV for more opportunities

Konnichiwa Nihon, David desu.

First and foremost, to everyone affected by the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake you remain in our thoughts and hearts.

As members of Il Divo with 4 different international backgrounds, we are often called "musical ambassadors" connecting the world with our music. We are really hoping that our upcoming trip to Japan next week may help. There are many rumours about what’s going on in Japan and we understand some people are deciding against travelling there. Yet we are very keen to visit and shed some light on the real climate there. Japan has always had a special place in our hearts and we are looking forward to seeing our fans again and helping in what small way we can.

It was a great honor to be asked to sing "Time to Say Goodbye" for the Japanese movie "Andalucia". We had so much fun working on it, and we are very happy to be part of the big premiere events on June 8. Our commitment to the film project and visiting Japan remain undeterred.

Hello everybody. We are back in London in the UK where it all started. We just got the fantastic news that we will receive the award for 'artist of the decade' at the Classic Brits, an unexpected honor for us and we are all very excited about it. The UK is where it all began, where the people first embraced our music and gave us the confidence to reach out further into the world. Since then we've been working relentlessly and have been to pretty much every corner of this planet, which has been an incredible ride for us, and hopefully a great experience for the audiences in all the different countries we've visited.

After seven years we're back here to be rewarded for our work by the people who made it all possible: The british audience...

So we got together last Thursday to start rehearsing and preparing ourselves for the big moment. And we really went right back to the beginning: We were staying at the first hotel we ever stayed when we came first to London, we rehearsed in the very same studio where we sang our music together for the very first time, the name 'Il Divo' wasn't even born yet, under the railway bridge where the walls tremble every few...

Hello everybody
First of all I would like to tell you how much I appreciate how much you care for us and for the constant support you give us day after day.
As you all know, we have finished recording our new IL DIVO album, which will be released very soon, this coming November; something that I as much as my colleagues Sebastian, Urs and David are very much looking forward and are very happy with how it turned out; we really think it will be one of our best albums…….. and we hope you will like it as much as we all do.
Furthermore, I want you all to know that my commitment to IL DIVO is totally unconditional and it is my outmost priority, but since we have been granted some off-time, while all the promotional plans are being worked out for the release of this new record, we have entertained ourselves in small projects to pass the time while everything is ready for our new World Tour with Il Divo. David will be doing an Opera in Detroit (USA) in April and I am doing a show with INNOCENCE at the Compac Gran Via Theater in Madrid, from June 23rd until the 26th, and we would love to see you all there .

Christmas message from Sebastien on behalf of Il Divo:
Hello ladies, gentlemen,
We wanted to wish you all a Merry Xmas 2010 and a happy new year 2011.
It's been a long time since we've spoken, i apologise for that.
We are working really really hard on the new album which we are very excited about...its been a longer process recording this album as we have taken the time to try some new approaches, but I can assure you it will be worth the wait. I know all artists always say they've done a better album, i'm certain you will be surprised when you hear it, i'm definitely very proud of what we have done so far.
It's really important that you know even though we are sometimes a bit quiet that we can never forget you, we are just working on what we love to make the best possible album.
This year has been really busy with il divo but i also became an expert on Thomas the tank engine, Dora so and so on as i have been able to be in London alot with my amazing family. God i miss being on the road and seeing you all.

Hello to all of you. It has been a very long time since I have had the time to write you, for which I appologize.
I am currently very happy because we are working on a new album which will hopefully be released very soon. We all hope you enjoy this new work as much as the previous ones.

I have an official and personal announcement to make. As you are probably already aware off, Kim Sharma and I are no longer together anymore and it has been officially announced today in the Indian newspapers. One thing the newspapers did not mention is that Kim Sharma has already married a multimillioner from India that is living in Southafrica. I am pretty sure that they are keeping the secret in order to publish it at a more convenient time, to once again get the best media coverage possible.

I broke up with her because things were not going in the right direction, and now that she has abruptly decided to marry a multimillioner, a very influential indian businessman in South Africa, it has become clear to me how HIGH her expectations were in life. I am sad to admit now that you all saw this before I did and that you were all right from the start, but ......Oh...

Il Divo to join Vietnamese beauties in contest final

The renowned multinational vocal group IL Divo will give a one-night performance at the final round of the Miss Vietnam World contest at tourism paradise Vipearl Land-Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa province) on August 21, the event’s organizers have announced.
IL Divo will warm up performances by the Vietnamese beauties at the contest under a contract recently signed with the event’s organizers.

The band themselves are eager to be present in such an event.

Carlos Martin, who represents the vocal group, said they have heard much about beautiful, peaceful, hospitable Vietnam and they feel very happy and honoured to have the chance to visit the country for the first time, especially to perform at a well-known beauty contest.

Martin promised that his group will respond to the Vietnamese fans and provide spectators at the beauty pageant with a special musical feast.

Quartet tone rangers: Il Divo in Abu Dhabi

Their female fans pull their pants off on stage and follow them around the world. Now the oh-so-sexy quartet are set to charm their fans in the UAE. Sebastien Izambard, one quarter of Il Divo, talks about their rise and dreams

I’d like to say it’s the building crescendo at the end of Nella Fantasia which rocketed operatic pop quartet Il Divo’s debut album to the top of the album charts, knocking Robbie Williams off his usual pedestal.

But let’s be frank. While music touches people in special ways, I’m pretty sure it’s the steamy, good looking lads in their casual “end-of-the-wedding-night-look” suits that have ensured the group’s six-year success story.

Or, to put it more simply, Luciano Pavarotti made beautiful music, but when was the last time anyone tried to pull his pants off on stage?

“I felt a tug on my leg,” says Sebastian Izambard, the band’s French member, who was recruited for the classical group when it formed in 2004. “I looked down to find a woman trying to pull me off the stage. She got my shoes, but I managed to get them...

Boy oh boy, are you girls in for a treat. Beyond a treat. You are in for one of the most beautiful days we’ve ever had on Style Me Pretty, which says a lot since I try so hard to make every day really beautiful on SMP. The cute, cute, way-too-talented duo over at Belathee sent us today’s featured affair. And when I tell you that it’s gorgeous. Well, that’s kind of like the understatement of the century. Designed by the FABulous Hatch Creative Studio and planned by the equally fabulous Annie Lee of Daughter of Design, this is the wedding of David Miller, one of the voices behind Il Divo, and Sarah Joy Kabanuck, a beautiful singer and stage actor…and it’s pure wedding genius.

Sarah Joy and David met while cast as star-crossed lovers, Mimi and Rodolfo in Baz Luhrman’s Los Angeles production of La Boheme, a tragic opera which defines bohemian romance and Parisian love affairs. Luckily though in real life the stars were aligned for Sarah Joy and David and they were wed last summer in NYC. It was a total no-brainer that the wedding’s theme would be inspired by the bohemian Parisian romance of La Boheme…sans the tragedy and tuberculosis.

IN “La Bohème,” the lovers Mimi and Rodolfo are pried apart by disease, poverty, failure of nerve and, ultimately, death. When Sarah Joy Kabanuck and David Miller played the roles on Broadway in 2003, some strange magnetism seemed to be forcing them together.

“There was a moment of connection, but it was so intense that we couldn’t be friends,” Ms. Kabanuck, now 30, said of their initial encounters. “Our time together was nothing but awkward.”

Like the conflicted characters they played, they faced many obstacles to happy romance. It wasn’t all that operatic (though he did lose a job at one point). She was married and he had a reputation as a womanizer. Yet as Ms. Kabanuck later remarked: “Love doesn’t necessarily make logical sense.”

Ms. Kabanuck had been an understudy in the Broadway “Bohème” (which was directed by Baz Luhrmann), playing Mimi more than 30 times. She agreed to be an understudy in the Los Angeles production in 2004, and she and Mr. Miller, now 36, discovered that they were to perform opposite each other for a week and a half. On the first day of rehearsal, as they sang the passionate duet “O...
