Now, my daughter thinks I REALLY need help! I have picture frames. Most of them hold photos of my family: kids and grandkids. I had a few that had photos of my ex-husband in them, but after he got remarried last fall, I took them down. Didn't take his pictures out of them, just took them down.
Over the last couple of days though, I have replaced the photos of my ex with photos of James Dean (about damn time, too -- we've been divorced for four years!!)
I now have a mini-gallery of James Dean photos in my bedroom. Here they are! I would have them all over the house, but out of respect for my daughter, I do not force my love of James Dean onto her, even though it IS my house and I have every right to hang pictures anywhere I please.
The only "non-picture" is a framed quote from "The Little Prince", his favorite book. It says: "In one of the stars I shall be living, In one of them I shall be laughing, And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look at the sky at night." I had originally bought that after my sister died two years ago because my mom had decided that my sister should be stars, and she (my mom) liked the book, but when I read that Jimmy liked it too, it seemed only natural to put it among the photographs of him.
Anyway, "Note Girl" thought I was overly-obsessive about my ex (HE divorced ME -- I fought it). She now wants to have me committed. I told her that I would have to consent to it first, and I never would because I am completely sane. A little off-kilter perhaps, but sane.
So tell me, have I gone too far?
