It started with coffee.
The aroma of the store smelt so strong, so awakening, this was his idea of a routine, coffee then work and later on bourbon and his boat.
“Jamaican blend black no sugar no milk” Gibbs said
“I’m sorry sir but someone has just beat you to our last Jamaican blend although we do have a large variety of coffee” said the scrawny little man behind the counter
“You have completely no Jamaican blend at 6:30 in the morning?” Gibbs questioned almost like he would a suspect
“We are sorry about the inconvenience but the supply wasn’t delivered yesterday” the little man said
“Do ya have anything strong?” Gibbs said fighting the urge to give him a head slap and who ever bought the rest of the blend
“Yes we have..” the man started to say when he was interrupted but Gibbs”
“Give me a large of whatever you were going to say”
“I guess you don’t want milk and sugar?” the man asked questioningly
“ya think?”
Gibbs was so aggravated with his own issue that he didn’t notice the woman that was standing near him waiting for her name to be called.
“Jenny” the store manager said holding out the cup of coffee
“Yep” Gibbs heard behind him, walked past him and the first thing he saw was her long red auburn hair, the next thing he looked at was her ass, well she was standing in front of him by now, what else could he do.
The mysterious red haired woman who was wearing glasses had taken her coffee and walked passed Gibbs once again to find a table to drink at. The second time she moved past him he smelt it, there it was his coffee, his Jamaican blend in the hands of a beautiful woman. As she took a seat Gibbs’s name was called.
“Gibbs”
“Yep” he said as he took the coffee, he walked over to the woman now enjoying her milk free, sugar free, Jamaican blend coffee.
“Is anyone sitting here?” he asked
“Nope, knock yourself out” Jenny said
Gibbs pulled out the chair and sat in front of her, he now had a perfect view of the stranger. She was wearing black stilettos, a tight grey pencil skirt and a black button up shirt that tucked into her skirt. Her long wavy red hair was down and slightly messy she had on some black 60s style glasses.
She took her glasses off and put them on the table and stared at Gibbs with her green eyes
“Enjoying the view” Jenny said with a smirk
“I sure am, enjoying my coffee?” Gibbs said making eye contact she had some of the most beautiful eyes he had seen.
“Your coffee?” Jenny said with a sense of authority in her voice
“Yeah, the kid over there said someone beat me to the last Jamaican blend”
“Well that sounds to me like I bought the last Jamaican blend which makes this my coffee” Jenny said with a subtle turn of the head and a flirtatious smile
Gibbs just smiled back, and took a sip of his, well he wasn’t quite sure on what he ordered, and made the most ghastly facial expression in the world
“Oh what is this” Gibbs said pointing towards his coffee
“Give me a taste” Jenny said helping herself to his coffee
Gibbs watched as the cup slowly reached her lips, he watched as she blew on the coffee and pouted her lips, she was a sight.
“That tastes terrible and you know it is rude to stare” Jenny said giving his ‘coffee’ back to him
“My name is Gibbs”
“That sounds more like a surname” jenny replied
“It is” Gibbs said
“Well in that case my name is Sheppard”
“Got a first name Sheppard?” Gibbs asked
“I do, do you?” Jenny said
“Jethro”
“Jenny”
“Jenny Sheppard” Gibbs said with satisfaction
“Jethro Gibbs, or is it just Gibbs”
“You can call me Jethro”
