Part3- A Change in Life

"Isho ne kaze ne naro."
Those were the words that changed Satsuki's life. From that day on, Shirou and Atsuya would be with her whenever she needed them...

Life had been hard for Satsuki ever since her parents had separated when she was three years old. Her mother, being a florist in Hokkaido, never moved, but her father, on the other hand, owned an electronics company that sold things as far as TV's to high class security systems. His job brought in tons of money, but resulted in having to relocate multiple times. Satsuki would switch between the two parents at different schools, at different places, with different people. She really didn't have any friends. As sweet and kind as she was, no one ever seemed to want to be friends with "the new girl." She was always known as an odd ball. Satsuki knew more things than a normal five year old would know, such as hard spelling and even hard math. People in her classes would hate her for it and she would be picked on. That's why she kept to herself. Satsuki was also half American half Japanese, her dad's side being American. Children in every one of her different schools thought it was weird for people from different countries to be together. Mean kids would tell her that she shouldn't have even existed. On these days Satsuki would cry and wonder why she was alive and what her purpose was.

Satsuki also had a strange uniqueness about her. She had long jet black hair with blue highlights that her mother said were there when she was born. Her eyes were electric blue like her mothers, but instead of just plain black pupils, Satsuki's eyes had a symbol in them that no one in her family had, just her. That symbol was a lightning bolt. Each time she had asked her mom, she would tell Satsuki that she thought it would be something important in her future, but she didn't know what. Satsuki was a young unique girl, but no one seemed to notice except for two people.

"So Satsuki," Fubuki asked,"What types of things do you like to do?"

It had been hours since Satsuki had woken up from her black out in the Fubuki house. Shirou and Atsuya had begged their mom to let Satsuki stay
and play with them for a little while. Luckily, Satsuki knew her moms cell phone number, so Mrs. Fubuki called her mom, who had frantically been trying to find Satsuki for the past three to four hours after waking up to find that her daughter was nowhere to be seen. After much thought, everyone agreed that Satsuki's incident should be left a secret.

The three children walked out of the house and into the frost-bitten air as Satsuki thought of how to answer Fubuki's question.

"Hmmm...," Satsuki thought allowed.

After Fubuki and Atsuya had
told her that they would protect and be with her forever, Satsuki felt a strange link to them that told her that she could trust them. She had made two, true new friends.

"Well," she began,"I love playing the piano. It's one of my natural talents."

Satsuki could tell that Fubuki was going to ask a question, but Atsuya butted in.

"Do you play any sports," he asked eagerly."Like soccer!? Me and Onii-chan play soccer! That's our natural talent." He said this with a proud grin, but Satsuki only looked at him with a blank expression.

"No, I've never played soccer before," she answered bluntly,"I don't see the fun in kicking a black and white ball around." But she didn't actually mean it.

Satsuki had always watched people at her schools play the sport. Each time she saw the ball swoosh into the goal she had the urge to stand up and play. One day, she had finally gotten the courage to ask the boys playing at school to play with them, but they only gave her dirty looks and told her to go away. They didn't want the "weird" girl to be near them...

Satsuki gave a look of disappointment as she remembered the sad memory.

Fubuki and Atsuya both looked at Satsuki, then turned their faces to one another. At the same moment, the twins made a serious face. For the second time that day, their auras turned the same, only this time it felt more like excitement with a mixture of sadness.

Fubuki and Atsuya could tell how Satsuki was not a social person. They didn't even need to ask. No one wanted
to be her friend, she wasn't normal, but she sure wasn't weird. In fact the two boys seperately thought to themselves how pretty Satsuki was with her long, jet black hair that contained blue streaks and her unique electric blue eyes that held a mystery in them that they did not know of.

The two decided that they would change her life by sticking to her, step-by-step, for the rest of her life.

"Soccer isn't just about kicking a ball..." Fubuki said with his mesmerizing voice. "It's about having fun and making friends."

"Soccer can help you get through things, good and bad," Atsuya continued,"It's what makes us feel needed in the world."

Fun, making friends, feeling needed in the world? These words echoed inside Satsuki's mind.

Did one ball do that much to someones life? Could her life change at the kick of one ball?

Fubuki must have caught a sense of disbelief in her face because grabbed her hand and began to lead her toward a path leading into the woods.

"Here we'll show you. We can see that you need something to fill the hole that's in your life. Soccer will fill it and change your life forever. I promise."
