Katy Perry is the latest star who has been causing a bit of confusion after being spotted in London with a ring on her wedding finger. The Part Of Me singer had enjoyed a night in East London (how trendy of her!) with a friend and was seen leaving her mate's home at around 3am.
The 27-year-old split up from Russell Brand, her husband of 14 months, when he filed for divorce on 30 December 2011. Their divorce will be finalised on 14 July, as California law requires couples to wait six months after filing before it becomes official.
While we can't be sure it's her engagement ring or even her wedding ring, wearing a band on that finger is said to be symbolic - is she perhaps reconsidering her split from the hairy British comic?
During his stint as host of the MTV Movie Awards earlier this week, Russell joked that he was on the hunt for another wife.
"The last MTV awards show I hosted I ended up marrying someone who was there, so I will be keeping my eyes peeled tonight for my next wife," he said.
However, rumours have abounded recently that the 37-year-old may be regretting his decision to end their relationship, and that he even sent Katy emails asking to take him back.
Katy also recently split up with Florence + The Machine rocker Rob Akroyd, with whom she had a brief affair after meeting him at the Coachella festival in America.
Are we about to see the greatest celebrity relationship reunion in recent history, or is Katy just teasing us with her choice of jewellery placement? Or maybe she was having a fat-finger day and the only digit said ring would fit on was the ring finger of her left hand...
