Jamie walked down the road rubbing her arms to keep the imaginary cold away.
Why had the hollow not recognized her? And on top of it all that stick in the mud royal reaper had been there. She rubbed her arms harder as she hated remembering the moment their eyes met only to pass out! She had no damn heart of hearts! So why was she reacting like it was still with her? A breeze brushed past her, and his smell made her look up and around. Where the hell was, he? She looked up. No nothing. As she brought her hand down, she caught the smell again. It was coming off of her! Turning the corner, she was still trying to rub the smell off on the side of her pants when her stomach rumbled. But not the usual stomach rumble. A glint in the sky made her notice the wild horror.
"Jamie!" Ichigo flash stepped to her putting his hand on her shoulder. She turned and pushed him away hard enough to knock him 50 feet back. Just as the flying beast engulfed her right there on the sidewalk. "JAMIE!" He unsheathed Chameleon, ready to charge. When Jamie merely appeared. The beast suddenly gone. Jamie offered her hand to him when laughter across the street stopped the both of them. "Nice. Very nice." Kenpachi said coming out of the shadows around the back door of the bar. Ichigo was there at her ear. "I'll keep him company while you go."
Jamie waved away his warning and merely walked across the street. Kenpachi met her as she stepped onto the sidewalk. "Jamie, was it? I heard you're in trouble. They don't know the half of it do they Soul Smith?"
Jamie smiled slyly. "Ooo aren't you the smart one. Sink."
Kenpachi laughed and tried to take a step and found himself sinking into the cement. "Oh, I'm sorry, it's a two for one. Sink the shell and you sink the reaper." Jamie smiled like a shark finding a fresh meal.
"Stop it, Jamie!" Uryu said as he and Chad arrived. Jamie sighed. "To the knees and no more. And what the hell are you 3 doing here? At this time of night on a school night no less." She folded her arms. "Jamie the Soul Society has orders to capture and kill you." Uryu informed her. She looked at the sunk to his knees in cement reaper.
"Is it true? Did my grandfather send you to kill me?"
Kenpachi paused. "Princess?" He watched Jamie cringe.
"I asked you." She grabbed his chin. "I asked you a question. Did my grandfather send you to kill me along with those zombies that I had to incinerate. Answer me, damn it! God! Just because my powers have found a way around my brother's curse, that ancient bastard wants me dead! I should really kill you. But your just following orders. So, it wouldn't do me much good. Only bring more harm to everyone I care about." She covered her eyes with her hand before dragging it slowly down to chew on the side of her pointer finger. "O.K. reaper. When you go back to make your report you can tell him I don't plan on ever returning. He can keep the damn throne.
I never wanted it. "
Kenpachi frowned. "We were told about the Soul Smith. Not about the princess who was a Soul Smith. Why not come with me and tell them?" Jamie narrowed her eyes at him. "And why would they believe me and not their High King? I love being the underdog but that would be suicide." Kenpachi had to agree with her logic, but with the way she'd knocked Ichigo with just a push and played the prey and the hunter. He felt she could handle the Soul Society just as good if not better then Ichigo had. He looked at Ichigo suddenly. There was something about him and this Jamie. Suddenly she planted herself between the two. "No one harms anyone I care about. Not you not your High King and definitely not de Fuego. So as long as we are clear on this you don't have to see my bad side."
"Jamie!" Out of the bar's back door came Steven and Sam. She rolled her eyes. Not in all her 3000 plus years had she been so squeezed. So caught unprepared. She should just pack up her bags and get the hell out town. It would make more sense to go back to Bas's sandbox and dig up more of her old history. Or she could always take on a job or two. If not, that Cleo could always use an extra hand on any excavation or restoration. "I so do not need this." She whispered to herself. "Sam take Steven and yourself home!" Steven marched over and picked her up by her collar. "This time you are way over your head! You will take the help!" A growl from behind Steven stilled everyone. "Easy boy, remember your still human inside. He's just drunk and overly concerned, but mostly drunk."
Steven didn't even flinch. "Uryu why is he here?" Umichika coughed. "It's not his fault. Its mine. He asked about becoming a protector. So, I thought it would be a good idea that he sees what is out here. He does have a good quantity of strength that rivals even a captains. With the right kind of training, he could help out quite a bit." Jamie sighed. "Well, I'm tired of all this shit. I've been on the run since early this morning put my 3 safely away...Umichika you remember the spell I taught you right?" Umichika blushed deeply. "It's so beautiful it should be made into a song." Jamie laughed.
Kenpachi found himself, Sam and Steven with their heads down on the bar's table in the morning. His head buzzing with blurs of dreams. Maybe he should think about laying off of the Saki.

In my story the reason that Ichigo feels so close to Orihime is that Jamie (Kura's) son promised to protect his sister in a different time period. I'm not sure how I will deal with this part either he will have failed or succeeded in protecting his sister. Yet the promise to protect his sibling has followed his ancestors line up to Ichigo. That is why he feels he must protect her, but not fall for her. This is how I explain it so far, but I'm not Kubo. He just inspired me to see outside the box
from behind the glasses, I see the world through. I guess I see them as the box I'm in, yet it is because of this box I see outside it. I hope you like my thoughts and hope you will respond. I'll say good night and hope tomorrow finds you alive, well and happy.
Sincerely
