To escape a mob hit, villain Woody Samms sneaks his soul into the body of Clark Kent with the aid of a mystical stone purchased from Asabi. In turn, Clark’s soul is transferred into Woody's body. Clark now dazed and rendered mortal is further subdued as Woody injects him with a sedative and stashes him in the bushes. As Woody psyches to impersonate Kent, he finds something strange about his new body. Becoming overwhelmed by what feels like enhanced senses, he discovers Clark's secret abilities. Realizing Clark and Superman are one and the same, Samms is elated and cunningly decides to take the place of the indomitable, spandex clad man of steel. Leaving the vulnerable drugged Clark behind, Woody quickly dons the cape and tights and steps out for his debut as Superman. After admiring the handyiwork of his own super transformation, he does a final once over and prepares for flight. Waking up that morning a hunted man, Woody suddenly finds himself the most powerful man in the universe miraculously flying high in the sky above Metropolis. Eager to strut his new super powers and make full use of their benefit, he pays a visit to Asabi knocking down the door and demanding to be told how to keep the transference indefinite. While the stubborn Asabi refuses to help him, the super empowered Woody sends him flying like a rag doll across the room. Relishing in his sudden advantages over all others and ability to command obedience, Woody soon receives the answers from a fearful Asabi. Learning he must kill his old body, Woody smirks with confidence having already grasped the ease of exploiting his super powers upon others. As the reality of his new supremacy takes over, Woody’s arrogance grows finding great pleasure in the uncontested position he now holds.

Meanwhile as the sedative wears off, a helpless, powerless Clark begins to roam Metropolis as the mob and Woody both try to hunt him down.

High above the city, Woody beams as he creates a game plan. He begins to contemplate his new life as the Man of Steel. As he reflects on all he has taken from Clark, he begins to smile realizing he has yet to claim, his very attractive wife, the lovely Mrs. Kent. Oh how it feels to be on top of the world......literally. A world that now belongs to him. Hovering from his vantage point, his superhuman state makes him feel disconnected from the little people below as he begins to look for the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kent.
