Max POV

I felt horrible. Why was the Voice suddenly Angel? The flock just stared at me in a shocked silence. Then Angel spoke.

"But Max, it could just mean that I sounded like the Voice, not that I acually am the Voice."

"But we don't know that for sure, sweetie. It's just too confusing!" I sounded like a whinny little kid. I just wanted to curl up and cry. My baby, my Angel, the Voice? Suddenly it was all too much for me and i sat down.

"It sounded like she was predicting the future," Iggy said. "It didn't sound like her though. Too hoarse."

"Like a prophecy," Fang commented quietly. He sat down next to me in the sand.

"Do we really have to go to Africa?" Gazzy complained.

Nudge replied, "We still have to go to Total and Akila's wedding in two days. I can't wait for it! I cant believe they made me a flower girl! Aren't you excited Max? I am!"

"I think they get it Nudge," Iggy said, laughing.

"Max, is this prophecy thing a skill?" Angel asked.

"I have no clue," I answered hopelessly.

Gazzy said, "Can we please head back to your mom's house, Max? I'm hungry."

I glanced at Fang. I didn't want to let the whole 'Angel can make prophecies' thing go, but Fang's expression told me we'd talk about it later. The younger kids didn't understand.

I sighed, "Alright, lets go."
