After I have done with the testing of characters' screen time in this episode, I decided to write an article for this episode. This is the episode where Maya and Willy met a female cricket who asked them for help in freeing her husband/boyfriend from the humans and is the twenty-third episode of the European version. Before I'm going to rank the characters by their amount of screen time, I will explain something about every version of the episode starting first with the original Japanese version, then the European version and finally the Saban English version. In the original Japanese version, the female cricket's name is "Mary" and her boyfriend's name is "John", but his name was pronounced as "Yohn" rather than the actual pronunciation of the name probably because they thought that every name in German starting with "J" was pronounced the same as the English "Y", but in Germany, the name "John" was pronounced the same as in English pronunciation though. In the European version, the female cricket's name was changed to "Nelly" and her boyfriend's name is still "John", but his name was pronounced correctly in the German dub and in the Saban English version, the female cricket's name was changed to "Andi" and her boyfriend's name was changed to "Jack", but they were not the only ones who have their names changed because the other known character who have his name changed in the episode was the youngest termite who decided to help Maya and her friends to free the male cricket from the cage who is called "Anton" in both the Japanese and European versions, but his name was changed to "Bobby" in that version. Here are the ranking results that I have gotten for each character who have appeared in the episode:

11. The Termites (12 seconds)
Yes, the termites were the ones who have gotten the least screen time out of all characters because they were only seen in the scene where they worked hard in their nest which is why they fell into the last place though.

10. The Old Man (25 seconds)
Yes, the same old man who appeared in the seventh and in the nineteenth episodes has also appeared in this episode, but he appeared in the last scene of the episode where he was looking and listening to the music from John's violin along with the boy who was his grandson and they were both happy at the end. In the Japanese version, they had no dialogue at all, but in the European and Saban English versions, the boy told him to listen to the music, and he replied with a smile that the music was nice. So yes, he managed to beat out most of the termites by just 25 seconds, so that's why he is not in the last place.

9. The Chief Termite (42 seconds)
Well, just like the other termites who appeared in the episode, their chief didn't got that much screen time either as he was also busy like the other termites working in their nest and he was the one who spoke to Maya for help but he told her that he can't help her because he has a lot of work to do with the other termites, but he sent Anton to help Maya and her friends in the end.

8. The Boy (1 minute, 41 seconds)
Well yes, the boy have managed to beat out the chief termite who have beaten out his grandfather to avenge his defeat and he is the same boy who first appeared in the sixth episode. He appeared when he went to catch Flip with his net and almost caught him, but in the end Flip managed to escape by jumping on his own from far away so that he wouldn't see him and in the end, the boy gave up and left. Then the boy appeared in the scene who heard the noise from the cage that fell down on the floor from the cat when it was chasing the insects that were in the house and as he woke up, he saw his cat that wanted to catch the crickets that were hidden under the nightstand and he took it out, and thus the crickets were safe. Then, he looked at the cage that had fallen and learned that John had gotten out and left and went back to his bed. (In the Saban English version, he spoke in this scene and scolded his cat for the mess it made, but when he looked at the cage, he was initially disappointed that John left, but he realized that crickets are happier when they live freely as he went to his bed). The boy appeared in the last scene when he opened the window and he was listening to the music from John's violin and he was very happy and at the end his grandfather came next to him and they were listening to the music together happily.

7. John (2 minutes, 1 second)
Now this is something that might surprise you a bit, but yes, John have managed to get some more screen time than the ones who were ranked lower than him, but he is still too low in the list due to him being imprisoned in the cage and playing his violin for long hours before Maya and her friends went to help him out of the cage which is why he isn't high in the list though.

6. Puck (2 minutes, 42 seconds)
Now this is something that might surprise you a bit more, but despite this episode is his second appearance, Puck didn't manage to beat out everyone who were ranked higher than him in the list, but he got the most screen time when he buzzed around the cat to wake it up and chase him until he led the cat to the table where the cage was before the cat jumped and caused the cage to fall to the floor and John was freed in the end (thanks to his "help").

5. Flip (2 minutes, 52 seconds)
Unfortunately, Flip didn't got that much screen time because he was lazy and slept all the time before the little bees woke him up to go on a trip together but he didn't go with them because he was still lazy until the boy saw him and tried to catch him and escaped him by jumping at the end. After that, the little bees saw him hiding so that the boy wouldn't see him and Maya asked him what he was seeing there but as she said it next to him, he was shaken by his fear and Willy asked him why he is scared and he explained about this whole situation that had happened to him, but Maya asked him why he talks bad about humans and she explained to him that their teacher (Miss Cassandra) said that bees have a good relationship with humans and he replied that he knows that, but he had his doubts and looked around again to see if the boy would appear again and Maya cried out to him out of her nerves and told him that there is no one here and she asked him who he was afraid of and he replied that she is not in trouble and that he cannot fly to escape from danger, but he also told her out of his nerves that if she saw the boy's "terrible" net that would catch him, then she wouldn't be talking to him like that now. In the end, Flip decided to jump off to go somewhere to rest some more after Nelly the cricket showed up to voice her complaints about humans. So yes, Flip have managed to beat out Puck by 10 more seconds which is like he realized that Puck was trying to "steal" more screen time from everyone else which is why he was ranked higher than Puck in the list, but don't worry about it because he will be ranked higher in the next episode which he have gotten as much screen time as the little bees did in that episode which I will explain more of it after finishing ranking all characters in the list of this episode though.

4. Anton/Youngest Termite (5 minutes, 22 seconds)
Yes, Anton the youngest termite have gotten so many screen time in this episode by making it to 5 minutes, but he failed to enter the top 3, but yes, he was ranked so high. Anton showed up to go help Maya and her friends by carrying a leaf to cover his body because he told Maya that he doesn't want to take the leaf out because the sun bothers him (which is a reference to termites who can't stand sunlight and die easily) and the little bees held the leaf to make Anton fast forward before they reached the house (where the humans live) to go save John. When Maya led him to the table where the cage was, he was trying to eat the cage that was made of wood, but he couldn't because he told them that the wood from the cage was too hard to eat and his teeth hurt and he finally gave up, but he tried his best though. After the crickets managed to get out of the house, Anton decided to leave and go back to his nest in the end.

3. Nelly/Mary (6 minutes, 15 seconds)
Of course, Nelly have managed to enter the top 3 by getting into the third place and earned her bronze medal by the amount of screen time she got overall.

2. Willy (7 minutes, 17 seconds)
Once again, Willy have managed to get into the second place and earned his sixth silver medal by the amount of screen time he got and he is very happy that keep staying to the top 3 and earning more silver medals.

1. Maya (9 minutes, 39 seconds)
Once again, Maya have managed to get the most screen time out of all characters by getting into the first place and earned her eighteenth gold medal by the amount of screen time she got overall as she is the protagonist after all.

And that's all of the results that I got from this episode and I'm planning to test the screen time of characters in the twenty-seventh episode where Maya, Willy and Flip went on a big adventure in the forest and is the twenty-fourth episode of the European version which I will explain more about that episode in the article that I will make soon.

I don't know if you know this, but if you're played Maya the Bee: Music Academy, do you know that the plants that was in between the minigames selection are actually music instruments that you can play on. Here some details:

1.The leaves on the tree log between Maya and the ants.
2.The bellflowers between the ants and the beehive.
3.The mushrooms between Flip and Tekla.

Lastly, you can tap the characters for voice effects.
