The principal singer of nineteenth-century opera was called pre-Madonna.

It is easy to teach anyone to play the maracas. Just grip the neck and shake him in rhythm.

Gregorian chant has no music, just singers singing the same lines.

Sherbet composed the Unfinished Symphony.

At one time singers had to use musicians to accompany them. Since synthesizers came along, singers can now play themselves.

All female parts were sung by castrati. We don't know exactly what they sounded like because there are no known descendants.

Young scholars have expressed their rapture for the Bronze Lullaby, the Taco...

Someone is stumped already!
I was sent this image by a friend who challenged me to name them. however originally it was designed to promote virgin digital. And now i am passing on the callenge to you, my fellow fanpoppers... just how many can you name?

To get you started i'll give you one of the answers (see, aren't i kind?)... at the back of the image you will notice some apes! two of the apes are plastic and one is cg but what kind of apes are they?? they are gorillas! thus this is refering to the band Gorillaz! See its not so hard after all! so happy hunting fanpoppers!

If you want to view a larger version of the image then head over to the images section
If or when you want the rest of the answers then holla at me and i'll send them your way. Or you could cheat and look them up yourself... but remember cheating is bad!

The appearance of singers seems to be a topic of confusion amongst people. I've decided to write out a full, complete response to this kind of a question.

Do looks matter? Does it matter what you look like? Do you have to be pretty to be a singer?

The answer: It depends. What type of singer do you want to be?

If you want to be a pop star - one that everyone obsesses over for a few years and claims is going to be super important in the history of songs, only to disappear completely after several years - then yes. Looks do matter. If you want to be the next Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato,...

I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface
I don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes

(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)

I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you

Can't you see that you're smothering me?
Holding too tightly, afraid to lose control
?Cause everything that you thought I would...

First of all, I don't mean to offend any "monsters" reading this.

I used to think Lady Gaga was okay, she had a few good songs, and was cute. But in late 2009, she just got wierd. Disturbing. First it was the Paparazzi preformance at the VMAS. Then the vid. Then she started doing all kinds of crazy shit.

But to me the most offensive thing she's ever done was wear that meat dress at the 2010 VMAS. I mean come on! How offensive! Even Ellen DeGenerous said so herself! I personally am not a vegetarian, but there are so many people out there who are, and that just sent an awful message to them! Plus...

Hey people! ☺ I came up with a list of band names a while back when I was helping my brother with his band. He chose the name "Short-Change Heroes", which isn't on the list because it's taken now. I'm not positive if all of these are free; if all of these aren't taken. But I decided to post them since I have nothing better to do. Read it. Or don't. Eh, I don't give a crap, really.

Third part to my top 50 songs articles link & link I decided to go all out and list the other 50.

75. Gives You Hell (All American Rejects): Most of the reason why this song made it into my top 100 is because of the fond memories. Way back in 8th grade my friend introduced me to it on the bus ride to one of our field trip locations. It was love ever since. Not to mention the song itself is very catchy and enjoyable. And I feel like a lot of people can relate.

Favorite Line: Now where's your picket fence love and where's that shiny car?

Favorite Part: When you see my face hope it gives you...

So as with the top 100 songs article, I decided to limit myself to just one Within Temptation album. Because if I didn't the list would go a little like;
1. Mother Earth
2. Silent Force
3. Heart Of Everything
4. Unforgiving
5. Hydra
With an honorable mention to Enter.

5. Zella Day's Kicker

This album makes it into my top 5 because I like nearly all of the songs on it. I don't particularly have any memories attached to this one as I do with the others on this list. But I love the songs on it enough to put it in my top 5 albums. Though I debated putting Tokio Hotel's Humanoid or Evanescence's Fallen...

I know you've been waiting, yeah
I've been watching you, yeah
I know you wanna get up, yeah
Come on

Chorus:

Everybody, come on, dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing
Everybody, come on, dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing

Let the music take control
Find a groove and let yourself go
When the room begins to sway
You know what I'm trying to say

Come on, take a chance
Get up and start the dance
Let the D.J. shake you
Let the music take you

(chorus)

Let your body take a ride
Feel the beat and step inside
Music makes the world go 'round
You can turn your troubles upside down

(Just an FYI, this is me ranting, so just feel free to leave your thoughts about my endless rant. Thanks!)

In schools around the country, music classes are being cut under the claim that they are unneeded. I'm just saying this once ((Okay, maybe more)) Music is more than a class, it's a life style, it's a language, it's a culture, Music Is Life! By cutting the chances for us to be music students, you are cutting the chance for there to be successful people in the world. Let's face it, music not only helps calm you down, it lets your thoughts run wild, gives you an outlet and make something good...

* Mallory101's favorite Song (: *

Beauty queen of only eighteen
She had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her
She always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles
And wound up at your door
I've had you so many times but somehow
I want more

I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
She will be loved

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn't matter anymore

It's not always rainbows and butterflies...

PRINCE POSES IN BLACK UNDIES: Until this point, Prince had been just another upstart R&B singer. With the cover of his third album, Dirty Mind-a black and white shot of him giving the camera a comehither look, wearing bikini briefs, a jacket, a bandanna and nothing else, and standing in front of an abstact design that looks a lot like bedsprings-he became something else. It looked (and the album sounded)like a new wave record, and it delivered two clear messages: One was "I don't fit into any category anybody wants to put me in." The other was "I am coming to fuck you,...

Okay, when you read this song think about something like that song from the polar express (if you've seen that). This song is about a character that I roleplay named Sasha, she's been looking for her parents but in 10 years still no success, so often when she's really depressed she'll sing this song.

Somehow, Somewhere, how come I can't see you?
Is this for real, or just another dream,
I've been searching, over and over
But lost in darkness, searching for light
Somehow,Somewhere, lost but never found,
Please bring me back the flower,
Of my broken life....

That's all I have so far! Please tell me what you think!

Maybe I wanna be your girl
Maybe all I need is you
Even like that, even by your side
Even like this, receiving your love
Without time on my side
I can't become your girlfriend
Many times I've thought that it's fine even like that
Although I'm sharing you with someone else
Resenting it, I've cried countless times
Even if it's just a lie to comfort me say that I'm the only one
Without the anaesthetic of your kiss, it begins to hurt
Have you already returned?
It's shameful to shed tears here
So I grit my teeth, enduring it all
Many times I've thought that it's fine even like that

Our Song by Taylor Swift

I was riding shotgun with my hair undone
In the front seat of his car
He's got a one-hand feel on the steering wheel
The other on my heart

I look around, turn the radio down
He says, Baby is something wrong??
I say, Nothing I was just thinking
How we don't have a song? and he says

Our song is the slamming screen door
Sneakin' out late, tapping on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
'Cause it's late and your mama don't know

Our song is the way you laugh
The first date man, I didn't kiss her and I should have
And when I got home, 'fore I said amen
Asking God if...

Colorado Sunrise by 30H3!

And if iI had something to say to you i'd whisper it softly
Kiss you on your rosey lips and never let you off me
Shiver on your roof and see your face lit by starlight
Hold you through the night and watch that colorado sunrise.

I've got five fingers on each hand for every mistake that i've made
Cause my tongue is tied to tonsils and I need to shit and shave
I'm a shade too pale for handsome and have habits I can't shake
And if you try to take that from me well I'll never be the same

Trainwreck, that I am
And I am what I am what I am
What I am, a trainwreck, that I am...

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, the first Michael Jackson song, came out in 1979. It started a chain of outstanding songs that music continues to release to the present day.

I thought it would be interesting to look at each of the four decades that have passed since Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough came out in 1979, and discuss which could be truly described as Music's Golden Decade.

Note: the songs are grouped into the decade in which they were first released in the same year that their albums came out like I Want It That Way released in 1999 the same year Backstreet Boys’s Millennium came...

I'm like the ringleader,

I'm like a firecracker,

When I put on a show,
I feel the adrenaline moving through my veins,
Spotlight on me and I'm ready to break

I'm like a performer,
The dance floor is my stage
Better be ready,
Hope that you feel the same

Jesse Lacey of Brand New in 2015
1. Brand New

Everyone knows who Brand New is, or at least you've probably heard some of their lyrics. They've been staples in emo since the early 2000s. But they just released a new song, link, after years of inactivity and are promising a new album. They're making a comeback, calling new attention to that sweet spot between pop-punk and true emo. Though there are also rumors of an upcoming breakup, they're promising something good in the near future. Keep an eye on them.

2. American Football

The band that truly made 2014 the year of the Emo Revival. They got back together after 14 years and started...
