There was a time in Tree Hill when Peyton Sawyer seemed to be there only as the main love interest for the Scott Brothers, Lucas and Nathan. She was portrayed to be morose and discontented but who possesses an artistic vision. Her relationship with Nathan was a failure and she sought comfort through the passionate connection she felt for Lucas but the attraction didn't last and in the end the feelings she had for him weren't sustained. Unfortunately for her, when she thought she didn't feel strongly for Lucas anymore, she did and ended up hurting her best friend Brooke who was dating Lucas at that time. Ashamed and confused by the mistake she did, she tried to ease this guilt in the least expected place: (to her and to the viewers) Jake Jagielski

They've known each other for a long time as instant acquaintances. They weren't exactly drawn to each other because they didn't have time to get to know one another. At some point, Peyton realized that Jake was the kind of guy she never really noticed; someone who is nice, sincere and funny. Gradually, she took a chance and became his friend and Jake was a comfortable companion whose constant presence put her in a mellow stance and for once she stopped being consumed by her own dark thoughts. Peyton loved Jake's baby girl Jenny and Peyton glowed when she carries the precious bundle of joy in her arms and there was the indication that the tortured artist Peyton can be someone so peaceful and satiated with glee and hope. What she had with Jake was a simple friendship and the more she was around him and feel all this positive energy flowing through her, the more she begins to see Jake in a different light.

Unlike with Lucas, the longing didn't scare her. She took her time to connect with Jake in levels he allowed her in; she spent days with him talking and enjoying his company. Jake made her laugh, made her confident. He listened to her advices when it comes to his ex-girlfriend Nikki and he graciously affirmed her. He may not fill her with intense attraction and provocative stares that Lucas did once but rather he shared a companionship that grows in her and develops steadily. The passion she felt was pure and boiled and it didn't feel wrong at all. After a while, Peyton understood what she felt. She didn't wake up one morning and said, "Oh, I'm in love with Jake and I should tell him." That part of her is already somewhere deep and when time brought things to light, so were her feelings of affection for him.

Jake returned her love and provided her the smallest but the most genuine gestures of love Peyton ever had. He stayed and kept everything safe. He made her smile and taught her to protect herself instead of being the guy who saves her. He allowed her to be the best kind of individual through his guidance and faith in her. The most beautiful thing Jake gave to Peyton is Jenny. Peyton felt like she could be strong whenever she has Jenny in her arms and she wanted to be this little girl's light and she is. Peyton suddenly ceased to be that girl who draws goth things and wears black and paints her walls red: she was this amazing girl with a heart that is no longer afraid to feel because she has immersed herself to someone and it's love, a part of her, that endures and she gains with Jake.

No one can argue that the first time Peyton and Jake made love to each other was magnificent; every emotion and touch is aligned; every kiss and every breath was in synchronized motion. As they lay in bed, bathing on each other's sighs, a love was made right then; a love made to last.

This is the miracle of love in Peyton's life. When Jake left and hasn't come back yet, she knew that nobody could make her feel self-assured and completely loved like he did. Right now everything else might be all about pursuing a boy she felt is the only option to her left (Lucas) but she knew that she once had everything with an incredibly beautiful man and although for now she has lost it, she continues to search it and there is nothing like it in the world. This is true.

Maybe that is why I can never accept Leyton. Maybe that is why I think however Lucas might have loved Peyton is nothing greater compared to how Jake loved her. If you disagree, rewatch the seasons 1-3 with Jake scenes and just look how Peyton's eyes are so expressive and filled with love (and they seem to be always smiling even when there are tears; she only looks like this with Jake) unlike the way she would look at Lucas. And Jake can hold Peyton like it's all he can do and I noticed that when Luke holds Peyton, he looks like his thoughts are wandering to something else.

Look for love, but Peyton, dearest, don't look for it in the wrong places. Don't bargain and settle because your heart is growing weary. Don't cry for another person who doesn't deserve it because you already have someone you belonged to; someone you cherished. And that someone will find you. You just have to believe that someday, he will be back.

JEYTON DESERVES ANOTHER CHANCE; ANOTHER SHOT TO PROVE THAT LOVE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE BASED ON A BOOK THAT DOESN'T INSPIRE BUT RATHER CONSTRICT; THAT LOVE ISN'T JUST ABOUT WANTING SOMETHING BUT ALSO DOING EVERYTHING TO KEEP IT AND SHARE IT. i BELIEVE FOREVER THAT JAKE CAN COME BACK; CAN BRING THE SIDE OF PEYTON I SO LOVED AND RESPECTED...

This is the kind of love that not only takes your breath away but will breathe it back to you!
