"Morning Mira, Levy! Have you guys seen Natsu anywhere today?" Lucy asked as she arrived at the guild and took a seat at the bar. "Morning to you to Lucy, and no actually I haven't seen Natsu." Mira replied as she came to Lucy and Levy. "Yeah neither have I. Is everything alright between you and Natsu though Lucy? I haven't seen you guys talk to each other for a few weeks." Levy said as she turned to Face Lucy. "Oh, well nothing really happened I guess.. He's just been hanging out with Lisanna but it's fine I understand!" Lucy said trying not to sound disappointed. Lucy really wanted to talk to Natsu, it's almost been 3 weeks since they last talked to each other. "Well are you going to go on any jobs today Lucy?" Asked Mira as she handed over some news papers and articles to some of the guild members. "Yeah actually I was thinking of going on a job in a bit." Lucy replied looking up at Mira. "Well that's good who are you going to go with?" She asked looking back at Lucy. "Actually Mira, I was thinking of going on a solo mission for once." Lucy said With a small smile on her face. " Oh course-" Mira stopped before she could finish her sentence. "Solo?! Lucy you have never gone on a Solo mission before! How do you think Natsu is going to act about this?" Asked Erza coming out of no where. "I don't think Natsu will care about it, plus the only person that has been coming with me is Wendy." Replied Lucy facing her friend.
"But-.." Erza started but was quickly interrupted. "I'm going on a solo job and that's final Erza." Lucy said getting up and heading towards the job board. "Lucy, I just don't want you to get hurt that's all." Erza said as she came and stood beside Lucy. "Erza it's not easy you know.." Lucy said looking down. "What's not?" Erza asked confused. "Being saved all the time. It's like everyone thinks your to weak to even fight on your own." Lucy said as she pulled a job from the board. "Lucy I-..." Erza started but didn't know how to finish. "I'm going to go now see you later Erza." Lucy said as she walked away to go on her job. Erza sighed. "Be careful Lucy.." Erza mumbles under her breath as she saw lucy leave the guild hall.
"Do you think she's doing alright?" Lisanna asked her older sister and she stared at the guild hall doors. "I'm not sure Lisanna but Lucy is strong I'm sure she's alright." Replied Mira as she gave her sister a smile. Soon enough the guild hall doors opened and a certain blonde game walking through them. "Lucy!" Lisanna called and she, Erza, Levy and Juvia rushed to her immediately. "Hey guys.." Lucy said. She has bruises all over and her and her stomach had been wrapped around quite a few times. "Lucy, what job did you go on..?" Erza asked looking at the site of her dear friend. "Defeating 5 monsters that had attacked a village?" Lucy replied back to her forcing a smile on her face. "Lucy! Why didn't you pick another job?" Lisanna said quickly back. "I'm fine Lisanna.. It wasn't that bad." Lucy said as she looked at Lisanna's worried face. "Not that bad!? Lucy have you looked at yourself yet?!" Levy said as her facial expression turned into a worried face just like Lisanna's. "Guys! It's alright! I'm sick and tired of you all thinking I'm so weak and not helpful!" Lucy said walking towards the bar. "Lucy-san, Juvia and the girls just care about you." Juvia said following lucy and taking a seat next to her. "I know and I'm glad you guys care but.. Sometimes it just makes me feel like I'm a piece of glass. One wrong move and I'll break into tiny pieces.." Lucy said with a sigh. "Can someone call Wendy? She might be able to heal this thing a lot more faster." Lucy said gently putting an arm on her stomach. "Lucy listen you aren't weak and you never were. We just truly care for you and hate the thought of you ever being hurt." Erza said looking at Lucy.
"Or she just is weak and doesn't belong here." Said a voice coming to Lucy and the girls. Lucy was shocked. That voice. She couldn't believe who that voice belonged to and didn't want to. "Natsu.." She whispered. "Natsu what are you talking about! You would never say that about Lucy!" Erza said standing up and turning to face Natsu. "Well I'm sorry~ Erza. But sometimes the truth hurts." Natsu said walking towards Lucy. "Listen here Lucy, you were never a real help to the team. And now that Lisanna is back I've decided that she's going to be taking your place." Natsu said eyeing Lucy. "B-but.."Lucy started. She couldn't hold in the tears that were in her eyes. "Lucy you're the daughter of a rich man. You don't belong here, you never did! So why doesn't this princess just run of home to her little daddy huh?" Natsu started. Lucy couldn't hold it anymore. Soon her hand lifted up and, *Smack* she slapped Natsu in the face. "What is wrong with you?!" She said getting up on her feet. "Ever since Lisanna came back you've been ignoring me like I'm nothing! And now this? I'm sick of it!" Lucy snapped. Soon everyone in the guild was watching Natsu and Lucy. "What am I to you?! A friend?! A partner?!" She then looked at Lisanna's shocked face. "Or a replacement.." Lucy looked at Lisanna again. "You only took me as a replacement for Lisanna didn't you! You knew that if she ever came back you would act like nothing ever happened between us!" Said Lucy. The words that came next weren't Natsu's but Lisanna's. "Lucy I'm so sorry- I didn't realise this was my fault! I-i'm so sorry!" Lisanna said and covered her eyes."No Lisanna.. This isn't your fault. It's his." Lucy said as she gave Natsu a glare. "If all you are going to do is treat me like trash now, the might as well forget it! Because I'm leaving!" Lucy said. Natsu looked up and had shock in his eyes. But before he could say anything the blonde mage had already stormed out of the guild hall and had 5 girls chasing after her. "This.. this is all my fault.." He mumbled under his breath.
"Lucy wait up!" Mira shouted from not to behind. Lucy turned around to see 5 of her friends coming after her. "Lucy I'm really sorry.. I can't help but feel this is my fault." Lisanna said as she looked down at the ground. Lucy was surprised at what she heard. "Lisanna this isn't your fault! It's Natsu's. If he was going to end up treating me like that then he should have seen it coming a mile away!" Lucy replied lifting Lisanna's head and giving her a smile. "But you aren't leaving are you Lucy?" Levy asked clutching both her hands together. "Of course not I just said that." Lucy answered. 'I'm so sorry girls..' she thought to herself. Lucy hated lying to her closest friends but knew they were going to do everything in their will power to make sure Lucy didn't leave the guild. Little did they know they next morning would be a sad surprise for them.
After staying for a cup of tea the girls all went home and that's when Lucy started to pack her bag. She knew by this time there would only be a few guild members left and Natsu wouldn't be one of them. So after getting packed up and leaving a letter for the Land lady saying she's going to be gone for a while and that she shouldn't sell the house, she set of to Fairy Tail.
"Come in!" Shouted the master from his office. Lucy went in and took a seat. "Hello Master." She said looking at him. "Lucy my child, I rarely get a visit from you here. What's wrong?" He asked looking up from his paper. "Well you see Master I want to umm.. Well I want to.." But before she could finish. "Leave Fairy Tail?" Master Makarov finished for her. "Actually that's what I want you to tell the guild." Lucy said. "Master Makarov looked confused. "What do you mean my child?" "Well you see master I'm actually going to leave to get stronger but I'm not leaving the guild. You just won't see me for a while!" Lucy explained with a smile. "Well am I glad to hear that. When are you leaving?" Makarov said letting out a sigh of relief. "Well actually right now master." Lucy said getting up and putting a letter on the table. "Right now? Aren't you going to wait till tomorrow to say good bye?" The master said looking down at the letter. "No master, I know if they find out they're going to try to stop me." She said looking towards the door. "I understand my child, and wish you the best of luck." He said giving out a hand. Lucy takes the hand with a smile and looks at the master a final time. "Please read this to the guild and tell them no more master." She said looking at the letter. "I will my child, please write to me." Said the master and tears filled his eyes. "I will master, good bye!" And with that. Lucy was gone.
"Flame brain you sure messed up!" Said Gray as Natsu entered the guild hall the next morning. "What do you mean what did I do?" Natsu replied a bit confused. "Don't act dumb you know what happened yesterday!"Gray said with a bit of anger in his voice. "Actually I don't, in fact I don't think I remember anything from the past 3 weeks.. Like I was under a spell or something." Replied Natsu sitting down. "Here lemme check." Offered Wendy coming over. "Oh my.." Said Wendy. "What, did his brain fall apart just like Lucy's heart?" Said Gray still not helping in a way. "No Natsu was put under a spell! One to hate the closest person to him!" Wendy said taking a step back. "Well how come it's broken now?" Asked Natsu. "And ice princess what even happened last night and where is Luce-" But before Natsu could finish there was a loud cry. "LISTEN UP BRATS!!!" Bellowed the master looking down at his guild. Once he was sure everyone was paying attention he started to speak again. "One of our dear guild members have left Fairy Tail." he started. As soon as he said that Erza, Mira, Lisanna, Levy, and Juvia all looked at each other. "Master who was it?" Erza said her voice breaking.
The master started again. "Lucy has left the guild." "..." The guild was silence. Lucy had left them? Everybody cherished Lucy and loved her. Why would she have left? Then they all looked at Natsu. But the fire dragon was the one who was most affected by it. "LUCE LEFT!? WHY WOULD SHE LEAVE US? SHE LOVES IT HERE!" Shouted Natsu. Everyone was almost scared of him. "Because of you flame brain.." Gray said. Natsu was shocked, his beloved Lucy had left. Because of him..? He stumbled back afraid what gray was saying could be true. "N-no I-.." Natsu didn't know what to say. "I think we should explain what happened to him and Lucy while he was under the spell." Said Wendy looking at Natsu's face. But then the guild master cried out again. "She has also left a letter for you all." Thge master said and took a deep breath before reading it.
"Dear Fairy tail, by the time you all are hearing this I am already gone and probably out of Fiore. I just wanted to thank you all for making my time at Fairy Tail the best it could be. And for protecting me all those times. I also wanted to say thank you to my dear friends, for always supporting me and helping me out. And one more thing. Natsu, I don't know what happened to you but let me just say. I love you, and i always have. And I'll never stop." After hearing that Natsu knew that he loved Lucy to and wish he could have changed what had happened. "Good bye fairy tail! And don't stop fighting for what's right. Your dearest member, Lucy Heartfilia." The Maser finished. "NO!" Natsu shouted and the guild eyes were on him. "Lucy hates being part of the Heartfilia family! She didn't want that life. How could she say her name is Lucy Heartfilia when it's Lucy a Fairy tale!" He said getting up. "We need to explain what he did to Lucy now.."Mira said giving a sigh. After explaining, Natsu couldn't believe it. Lucy HAD left because of him. And from then he knew nothing in the guild would be the same.
3 years later~! (Sorry massive time skip!!!)
"We're back~!" Scream Erza and she, Gray and Natsu had returned from their mission. "Weird normally it's the flame ass that screams that." Said Gray looking at Natsu. '3 years..' Natsu thought to himself. 'It's been 3 damn years Lucy! Where are you..' Natsu took his bag and went and sat alone at the back of the guild hall. "It's been 3 years and Natsu hasn't changed ever since we all found out." Said Mira with a sigh."You can't blame him, he loved Lucy. He doesn't have to say it." Erza said glancing at Natsu. "I wish Lucy will just appear right now and make things right again.." Levy said. Then the guild doors flew open. "Well Levy, it looks like your wish just came true!" Said the blonde as she took one step in the guild and scream, "I'm home!!!" Nobody could believe it. She had returned. She had come back. Lucy was back home.. "LUCY!!!" Everyone screamed and rushed to her. Her hair was a bit longer and she had grown a little bit taller. But other than that she's still the same old Lucy. "It's nice to see you guys but there is one person I really wanna talk to.." Lucy said as she looked at the shocked fire dragon and gave him a smile. "Luce I-" "Shh.. It's okay Natsu. I know everything that happened." Lucy said walking to Natsu and opening her arms out for a hug. Without hesitation Natsu ran into them and started crying. "Why did you leave me.." He asked Lucy. "That's not important, I'm back now aren't I?" Lucy said lifting the dragon slayer of his knees. "Sorry everyone but i'm going to be stealing Lucy for the day, hope you don't mind!" But before anyone could argue the two were already out the guild. "He's back.. Our Natsu is back.."Lisanna said with a few tears. "And so is Lucy," Said Erza. "Our missing family member is back where she belongs.."
"Natsu why are we at my house?" Lucy asked as she entered her old apartment. She was shocked. The place was so clean. "Well this place wasn't going to take care of it's self was it now," Natsu said with a smile. "You payed-" "Rent yes and I took care of the house. I thought since it's the only place that will never stop smelling of you I couldn't just give it away now could I?" Lucy's eyes started to tear up. "Oh Natsu!" She said jumping into his arms and putting her face in his chest. "Luce I know this isn't the best timing and this isn't the place but, I love you Luce. I always have and I never stopped. Isn't that what you told me in that letter? I just wanted to let you know." Natsu said tightening his grip around her. "Oh Natsu.. I love you to and I'm glad you're the one I fell in love with." She said and gave Natsu a gentle kiss. Natsu smiled and returned the kiss to his blonde. "Okay come on now it's been 3 years and I want to make sure nothing big has changed around this place!" Lucy said as she dragged Natsu out of her house.
The day went on while the couple went strolling around Fiore. Soon the couple decided to go back to the guild. "But Luce~ what if they try to get close to you?" Natsu said with a frown on his face. "Oh Natsu, the only boy that I belong to is a Salmon hair coloured dragon slayer and that's all!" Lucy said and she reached out and gave Natsu a kiss. "That's good Natsu said giving lucy a hug. "Now let's go to the guild shall we my princess?" Natsu said giving out his arm. "Of course my dear dragon." Lucy said with a giggle and took Natsu's arm. Together the both walked to the guild but what happened next was a big surprise for Lucy.
As they entered the guild hall, the was a sudden shout of, "SURPRISE!!!" as Lucy and Natsu walked in. "What is all of this..?" Lucy asked amazed at what had happened to the guild hall. "It's a party to celebrate you coming back to us after 3 years! And it was Mira's idea!" Levy said turning to look at the bar. "Well it was nothing really-" Mira started but soon felt to arms wrap around her giving her a warm hug. "Thank you Mira I appreciate it." Lucy said while giving Mira a hug. "Returning the hug back Mira said, "It's good to have you back Lucy." But before anything else they were interrupted. "Okay that's enough hugging I'll be taking this back thank you very much." Natsu said putting his arms around Lucy and pulling her back. "Uh. Natsu what are you doing?" Lucy asked and giving Mira a apologetic face. "Sorry Luce but you're mine and that hug lasted for way to long!" Natsu said not letting go of Lucy. "Oh Natsu.." Lucy said while giving a smile. "Wait did I hear this right? You belong to Natsu?!" Mira said while smiling so hard. "Yup that's right but for now, LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!" Natsu shouted and the whole guild started to party through out the whole~ night.
"Natsu! I think we should leave it's getting pretty late and I'm tired." Lucy said as she grabbed Natsu's arm. "Sure thing Luce let's go before Mira makes us both drink more alcohol though." Natsu said as he and Lucy walked out the guild. As they were walking home Natsu decided to Ask Lucy, "Hey Luce where have you been the past 3 years?". "Well I got back the Heartfilia estate and stayed there for a year and a half. Then I went all around the place to get stronger I guess." Lucy said with a sigh. "Well who's looking after the Heartfilia estate if you're back here?" Natsu asked a bit confused. "My aunt has, she knew how much I wanted to come back so she offered to look after the estate while i come back here." Lucy said with a smile. "Well boy am I glad she did." Natsu said as they were up in Lucy's bedroom.
"So what do you want to do now?" Lucy said but then she heard her bedroom door lock. "Natsu? What are you doing?" Lucy asked as Natsu walked over to the window and shut it close along with the blinds. "Natsu what-." But before Lucy could finish Natsu was already kissing her. "Luce 3 years.." Natsu started. "3 years you were away from me, so now I'm going to make up those 3 years." He said a smirk grinning across his face. "Natsu.." But lucy didn't finish. "Shh.. Just don't be to loud alright?" Natsu said before going back to kissing her. And so the night went on like that
The next morning.
*Knock knock* "Lucy are you home?" Erza called from outside Lucy's apartment. But before Lucy could get up she was pulled back and Natsu was kissing her. "Looks like she isn't home let's go tell Mira, come on Gray." Erza said and then started to head back to the guild. "What was that for?" Lucy asked Natsu who was just smiling. "You know Lucy I told you to not be to loud last night." He smirked as he turned to Lucy. "Yeah well- you went way to hard!" Lucy said turning away, "Oh come on, you still love me right~?" Natsu said. "Natsu I don't think I'll be able to walk to the guild today."Lucy said giving an annoyed face at Natsu. "I'll carry you then! Come on let's get ready." He replied jumping out of bed to start the day.
"Morning Lucy!" Mira said but then didn't expect to see what she saw. "Natsu I told you I didn't want to come." Lucy said as Natsu placed her on a stool. "No can do Luce." He said with a smile. "Hey Natsu I think Gray wants to speak to you." Lucy said and with that Natsu gave Lucy a kiss on the cheek and went to Gray. "What happened to you to last night?" Mira asked obviously curious. "Long story short, he wanted to 'love' me." Lucy said before hitting her head on the table. "You know Natsu wasn't like this for the past 3 years." Mira said as she dried a cup. "What do you mean Mira?" Lucy asked lifting her head. "After you left he became really distant with us and kept blaming himself for your leave." She replied with a sigh. "But what about Lisanna?" Lucy asked. "Didn't she try to help him out or anything?" Lucy said as she looked over her shoulder at Natsu. "I tried but I guess he just wanted you back Lucy." Lisanna said as she walked over. "Lisanna I- you-.." Lucy didn't know what to say. "But you've liked Natsu forever Lisanna." Lucy said looking at her. "I know and it's always been my dream that we could be together, but he loves you can I can't change that." She said with a smile.
"I'm going to go outside for a bit see you girls." Lucy said getting up and walking out the guild hall. Natsu saw her and decided to follow her out. "Luce are you okay?" He asked going up to Lucy.
"Natsu.. I'm so sorry I had to put you through that pain for 3 years." Lucy said looking down. "Luce, what's important now is that you're back. And you aren't ever leaving me again. Come on look at me." Natsu said turning Lucy around and lifting her head. "Luce in the end, we both got our fairy tale ending? Right."He said while giving her a smile. "I got my princess." He said. "And I got my dragon." Lucy said blushing. "Our own fairy tale.." They both said in unison. Lucy gave Natsu a kiss. "The best fairy tale ever, is ours Natsu." "I couldn't agree more Luce."
