The sun was finally starting to reach its zenith as the crowd waited in quiet anticipation of the bout that was soon to begin. This event was so widely known and so hyped up that the entire Terrador stadium was packed full and then some. Viewers from Qeacaba, Handan, and even Meritan were going so far as to stand in any empty space they could find simply because there was not enough seats to house them all. This battle had been being hyped up for months and it was finally about to begin. The Battle Royale matchup of the three most powerful Intermediate Ranked fighters in all of Terrador. The charming and nimble Luzon, known for his indestructible armor-like skin and whip style weaponry, The White Knight, a silent combatant and master swordsman with the adorable female manager that was a complete mystery to everyone, and finally, the current fan favorite. Amdusias, the Demon of Thunder, whose thunderclap attacks can shake even the most hardened of warriors.

All of this was also being stated by the announcer who was wonderfully performing his duty of hyping the crowd into a mindless frenzy and above it all, watching with the only look of mild curiosity in the entire nation, was Halenstein, the commander of the entire Terrador nation. He had actively set about organizing this fight, likely out of an interest in one of the competitors, but which one was beyond anyone's comprehension. At his side, the Elite fighter known as The Scarlet Princess.

"I KNOW YOU ARE ALL EXCITED FOR THE MATCH TO BEGIN!" the announcer yelled into the mic, eliciting even more excited panic from the crowd. "IN JUST A MOMENT, OUR THREE FIGHTERS WILL EMERGE AND WHEN THAT HAPPENS, I IMPLORE YOU ALL TO PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR THE MOST INTENSE BATTLE YOU'VE EVER WITNESSED!

==================

Meanwhile, in one of the two preparatory areas designated for the fighters, Jaden Jones, also known as The White Knight, quietly donned the last piece of her set of armor, her helmet that hid her features. Jaden was clearly stressed at the importance of this match and as her manager watched silently from the other side of the room, she looked at herself in a mirror.

"This is going to be rough." she said quietly, probably to her manager, although he didn't respond. "Against the Luzon and Amdusias..."

There was still no response. Was it fear that gave her that chill? No. Excitement? Probably not. Desire? Again unlikely...Could it still be something as simple as trepidation? After all this time, was Jaden still getting butterflies before important battles? "It's time...I'm off." she said after a few more moments of hesitation. She grabbed her sword and the next moment, she was gone.

"Good luck," the manager said after she was out of earshot.

==================

"So," The Luzon said with a giddy smirk on his face. "Are you excited to be battling against both me and The White Knight?"

The one The Luzon was speaking to was the third competitor, Amdusias. The older man flicked his eyes towards the voice before returning to his preparations.

"Come now, Jin. This isn't like you. You're probably the most showy of all of us." Luzon continued, his smirk growing wider. "I personally cannot wait. The White Knight is just so amazing!"

"Alex. Where is your whip?"

"Huh? Oh it's over there, but aside from that, the White Knight! He is always so cool and quiet. I can't stand not knowing more about him. I sure wish he'd at least talk to me when I greet him..."

"Alex it is time to go."

"Fine fine. You need to loosen up, Jin. It won't do good for your performance if you're all grumpy."

==================

The crowd was practically foaming at the mouth by the time the three competitors had made their way out and into the arena. The hype man was doing his job to perfection, but to the three fighters, it may as well have been completely silent. Luzon looked at The White Knight, the White Knight looked at Amdusias, and Amdusias looked at Jin. The triangle they formed almost radiated with pure killing power. The battle was starting. The signal came.

Amdusias covered the distance between him and The Luzon in almost record time, definitely faster than both The White Knight and The Luzon expected. Due to this, The Luzon had no chance whatsoever of dodging or blocking the attack when Amdusias dashed a little past him, grabbing the arm that carried the whip in the process and using that to help stop his momentum. Amdusias brought his foot back, jabbing The Luzon in the back of his leg, causing it to buckle before pulling hard on the arm carrying the whip, yanking The Luzon's face towards him and right into his waiting elbow. The blow knocked The Luzon completely off his feet and Amdusias turned his attention to The White Knight who was still surprised but had time to adjust. Amdusias jolted forward, spurring a reaction from The White Knight who spun around to the right while simultaneously flipping his blade 180 degrees until it was held very much like one would wield a dagger. From there, he brought his arm back to stab Amdusias as he passed by, however, Amdusias countered the attack by slowing down for a fraction of a second so that the blade shot past him. From there, Amdusias placed his hand on the hand The White Knight was using to wield his sword and used that as momentum to flip around it and aim a kick to her back. The White Knight countered this with a kick of her own and both attacks connected, sending each combatant sprawling to the ground.

The Luzon was the first to get up. He shook the stars from his eyes and looked over at the others. This was weird. Amdusias...no, Jin didn't fight like this. This had no sportsmanship, no show. This was just...fighting for victory. He definitely wasn't pulling any punches as The Luzon rubbed his head lightly. If it wasn't for his extra hard skin, he would have a concussion from that. Whatever was going on with Jin, he was fighting for keeps.

Next up was The White Knight and she came to the same conclusion as The Luzon which is why she backpedaled to get closer to The Luzon.

And finally came Jin. Jins entire personality seemed to have taken a turn. He was no longer as rushed as he was a minute ago as he calmly stretched his muscles and looked over at them. "Well?" he said.

"Jin, what the hell are you doing?" The Luzon asked.

"What I should have been doing all along," Jin responded. "This is a fight, Alex. I'm going to try and win for me, not for them."

Henry woke up late at night inside of his room at the science facility, reaching over and flicking his lamp on. He stood up, rubbing his arm before sighing out quietly. Henry then turned to his walls, seeing the hundreds of different photos of Aimi, making him smile. He went down on his knees, putting his hand on the wall as he wept out, having two tears stream down his cheeks as he thought about how Ganzorig was tainting his precious queen. He stood up, heading the the science department, looking for ways to get stronger. He entered in the scientists code for the keypad, walking in, seeing...

Yes, I am Toshiro Matsukumi, head scientist of the knight program within the Japanese secret lab division. Today, we are kidnapping nine newborn children from nine different regions of the world. We will then, over the course of the years, raise them with the exact same training and begin to put them through tests until they all go through one final test, which will be a gladiatorial death match between all nine children at the exact date they all turn ten. Why am I writing this all down? Because nobody is ever going to read it and I don't want to forget.

Signed ~ Toshiro Matsukumi

Yasolda coughed a bit, walking outside into the bitter cold of the Swedish winter. She took her ax, chopping a bundle of wood up for the fire in her hut that she shared with her mother, father and siblings. Looking in the distance, she saw a ship moving around. That was a viking raiding ship, meant to get supplies for her village. She walked back home, carrying the bundles of wood on her back with rope keeping them strapped to her. While walking, she looked on the ground, noticing a strange footprint, making her raise an eyebrow. Animals that were common to the area she lived in did not have...
