When Daisy died I lost that bit of humanity I had left in me. Hiram and my mother, their memories and the sacrifice they made so I could live became muddled in the fire that I felt. The fire that I became. The world is cruel and unfair, unforgiving it how it took everyone I ever cared about away from me. I struck back against the world and I made sure it wasn't just me suffering.
Through Poland I came, working my way down through the tribes. At first I used stealth, killing them all and leaving one or two alive to rape when I felt the urge to. I then remembered the weapon my mother gave me and felt compelled to get one, travelling to one of the largest settlements I'd seen since it all ended. In the Eastern part of Poland I saw a man with winged armor- a man who knew the ways of the world now which makes me lucky I didn't encounter him. I found a blacksmith and he forged me a spear, in return I killed a beast that'd been plaguing the town and then I went West once more. Something compelled me to finally come home, perhaps to end my story where it began.

Heinrich Hess, born February 1st of 1986.
Heinrich set his journal back in the satchel that he had created out of beast leather, lined with wolf fur. He wore a black overcoat from an elk that he killed, having soaked the fur in water mixed with coal and getting it a nice dark color. He wore a biege burlap sack as a shirt, looking more like a tunic and black leather pants from an ox he killed and tanned. His boots were off a man he killed while scavenging, having seen much usage. He had his steel spear on his back- both ends sharpened like a razor. His hair had eight braids that went to his scalp, each going down to right below his rear end and his beard was braided as well into two braids that went down to his chest.
"It's sure green here isn't it." Heinrich said to himself, looking around as he felt the energy of many beasts throughout the ruins. Luckily he tore the scent glands out of a larger spider like beast that excreted a scent that made the other beasts stay away, leaving him to walk though the city fairly unharmed. He noticed occasionally he'd run into squadrons of humans, making him interested as they had seemingly military like uniformity to them and skills yet also seemed very...naive to survival out in the wastes, having no visible beast repellent and wearing clean clothes. He did notice two important things though- large backpacks meaning provisions. He pulled up the hood of cloak and began to follow them through the city, taking alley's and blending into the shadows for a good four hours before they took shelter in an old water cistern that had a computer used to gain access. They used old government codes, getting in and then locking it from the inside before Heinrich went to the computer.
"See, the problem is that these aren't particularly secure. Sure it's government, but these people notoriously fucked up- exhibit A to Z being the whole world at the moment." He thought to himself, prying off the bottom plate and pulling two wires, twisting off the rubber sealant and pressing the exposed wires onto the metal plate, causing a spark and making the computer shut down. Heinrich chuckled, hearing a small click indicating that the locks were off and all he had to do was wait.
As it was pitch black outside he entered the cistern, hearing the vibration of the still functioning water pump and the slight drippage of water from the old pipes. He noticed one key thing- there was nobody near the front as they'd be smelled by beasts if they were, making them be towards the back. Two, there was no shift rotations because of the assumption of a mag-lock on the door to protect them, meaning they were all asleep.
There was three one them- two men and one woman. Typically he preferred his women about his age or a little younger, that way to avoid diseases and such after one bad call with an older wench that left him burning for weeks but this one was clean, with no grease and few knots in her hair. Heinrich pulled his spear out, stabbing it in the gut three times on one of them men so he'd be incapacitated on the ground, writhing in pain and dying slowly. As the soldiers quickly got up he threw his spear into the throat of the other soldier, backhanding the woman in the middle as she got up and knocking her head against the wall as he grabbed the middle of his spear, twisting the mans neck before taking it out and going back to the woman. "Play it safe miss and you might survive the night."
"Fuck you!" She screamed out, pulling out her side arm. As she did that he stabbed her wrist into the wall, severing the tendons and causing her to drop the weapon.
Heinrich laughed, picking up the pistol before looking at it. "What was your intention, hmm?" He asked her as she screamed in pain, trying to unpin herself. "See that's not very nice. Here I am right, you see what I do to these other two here and I'm sure you know, I'm sure they were nice guys and here you are acting so rude. Here you are acting so rude, all I want is a bit of fun and here you are trying to shoot me."
"Just kill me already then!" She screamed out. "You're as good as dead anyways. They'll find us and then they'll find you."
"Who?"
"The Beast Corps.." She groaned out. "We kill scum like you. Beast people.." She leaned her head back.
"Oh yeah. Well...that's something. I'll see it when I believe it- wasters come up with all sorts of scary stories to save their lives. Well miss." Heinrich shrugged. "Not today." He shot her in the head. After that he put his pistol in his satchel and began to scavenge, getting several bottles of water and many provisions.

I'm sitting here now on top of a building. I killed three people tonight and for some reason I can't sleep, which is interesting because it never troubles me. As I look west I see a bright city- massive floodlights shining down and it scares me. Perhaps the world I'd conjured up was a lie- perhaps some of the old world existed and I could have been saved. Perhaps not, but it's an interesting thought and it saddens me as well because I wish it wasn't real.
I expected to find a graveyard here- nothing left of the old world except ruin. Instead it looks like an oasis in the wasteland..and I want nothing to do with it because I know were I to go in, I'd only realize what a monster I've become.
