Don't forget to keep your GC controllers for Virtual Console games
Don't forget to keep your GC controllers for Virtual Console games
Another IGN list read, and another one that I don't agree with so here are my top 10 GameCube games.

10 - Pokémon Colosseum

The first real Pokémon RPG that wasn't on a handheld came as a bit of a shock. What was even stranger however were the new Shadow Pokémon, Pokémon with corrupted hearts (Heartless anyone?) which along with your new companion you must rescue in order to restore their hearts. This game is slightly railed, but you do get the odd moments where you can do whatever you like. You don't have to earn any badges or anything, all you have to do is catch all 48 of the Shadow Pokémon. Once the Shadow ones are purified and the game completed, they can be transferred back to your GBA games, meaning previously unobtainable legendaries such as Entei are now avaliable.

9 - Beyond Good & Evil

Beyond Good & Evil is freaking wierd. Very freaking wierd. A female protagonist in the form of Jade helps along the very pretty visuals of this game. You are mostly armed with just a camera in this game, which is your way of making money. Take a snapshot of some odd little creature and sell it on. This game takes many of Legend Of Zelda elements and it's wicked.

8 - Pikmin 2

Pikmin are even wierder than the things in Beyond Good & Evil. This was a vast improvement on the original Pikmin as the time limits were gone, and the puzzles became harder, in selecting the right Pikmin to go after a certain treasure. This is just another of the silly GC games, which deserves a sequel.

7 - Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker

Legend Of Zelda never fails to deliver a great game. This cel-shaded adventure contains all the usual Zelda themes, Master Sword, save the world etc. but also features a fun mode of travel in the form of your boat which you can use to zip along to secret islands not on the map and other towns. This game is brilliant for either quick 20 minute plays or five hour long gaming sessions.

6 - Mario Party 6

Grab three of your friends and the microphone that comes with this game and get ready for the best Mario Party to date. Mario Party is basically a mad board game filled with mini-games which are even madder. With the addition of the microphone in this game you can voice control many mini-games.

5 - Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time

The first in the recent Prince Of Persia trilogy and even now still plays like a dream. The acrobatics fill the game and you're soon flipping around and running off walls like nothing. This game is also very pretty visually and you have the opportunity (once you have the Dagger) to even reverse your own death. The annoying part of this game is the girl who comes with you, as when she dies you die, and she tends to die an awful lot unless you are right in front of her. The events of this game lead cleverly into it's sequel, which offers even more fun.

4 - Resident Evil

The only words on the back of the box say: Pure Terror Cubed. That's it. Everyone knows Resident Evil, usually shortened to Resi amongst the fans. There's zombies and you're armed with guns, that's about you all need to know in a Resi game. Sure there's an intriguing storyline but when you running away from zombies, the storyline kind of takes a back seat. This game series is scary. When you see a zombie, it's not too scary as a quick headshot takes care of them, but the scariest moments come when you're in a large area and hear a groan, and have no idea where the zombies are coming from and how many there are. This game will scare you even these days.

3 - Sonic Heroes

This is the most fun I've ever had in a Sonic game. This game gives you different teams who each have different objectives to complete and go about the levels in a different way. (I said different too much didn't I?) This game allows an awful lot of variety in the game, along with the regular gameplay of Sonic games.

2 - Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Mario Kart is a staple of Nintendo with the latest venture on the DS taking the competition online. This version offers some new and classic courses and of course the deadly blue shell which is to be feared if you're in first place. It is a racing game with weapons basically, and all the odd Mario things such as Chomp Chains on the track. Much more fun when it's multiplayer.

1 - Super Smash Bros. Melee

The best GameCube game without a doubt. A fighting game featuring all your favourite Nintendo characters, but a fighting game without life bars, but instead the more you beat your opponent, the more chance they have of flying off the screen which results in a loss of a life. There's a ton of secret characters and hidden trophies in the game too. If you can get 4 people together it's insanely fun.

Anyways, that's my top ten, tell me if you agree, disagree or whatever.

Although North America identifies Nintendo products from 1995 as reflective of this change, 2001 is the first year of the Neo-Nintendo period to dispense with narrative convention and Nintendo-Formalist style for a sustained period of time. 2006 is the year that concluded what had been, for Nintendo, a stylistically progressive sequence of featured released video game - defined in this article as the Neo-Nintendo period - that broke with the hyperrealist conventions most commonly associated with the video game company's output. It is this critically neglected sequence of video games, comprising...
