3x10: I'll be the one if you want me to
Rana sighed, sitting up on the bed. She could hear Atie watching TV in the livingroom. As she looked at the clock, she saw it was already four in the morning.
"What on earth are you doing up?" she complained as she made her way to where Atie was, sitting on the couch, eating the cheesecake Rachel had made for dessert.
"I'm not sleepy", Atie said.
"You haven't slept properly since you broke up with Liam", Rana sighed as she sat next to Atie, watching as she watched reruns of Grey's Anatomy. "You've seen these plenty of times."
"I'm bored!"
"Then sleep!" Rana groaned. "Before I go wake Rachel up and she will give you a lecture on how everything will be okay, and how love is special and how-"
"Okay, I'm going to bed", Atie whined as she rushed off into her room, closing the door.
Rana groaned, laying down on the couch, too tired to move. She watched a bit of the episode before drifting off to sleep.
"You know, that is not a good place to sleep", she woke up to the sound of Jasper's voice. She looked up to see him looking at her in amusement.
"Ugh, go away", Rana muttered as she rubbed her eyes, sitting up. "What are you even doing here?"
"I came to ask you what time you want me to pick you up tomorrow", Jasper said as he handed her a bag containing a muffin. "And to give you breakfast."
"Oh, that is such an excuse", Rana muttered. "You're stalking me."
Jasper snorted, sitting next to her. "When are we meeting the adoptive parents?"
"Well, not now", Rana sighed, eating the muffin. "Go away, it's too early."
"You're cranky", Jasper murmured, giving her a smile.
"I am always cranky", Rana announced, standing up. "Especially if I have to sleep on the couch."
"Why would you sleep on the couch?" Jasper frowned as he watched her walk towards her room. "Do they not have space for you?"
"They have space for me, stop worrying", Rana chuckled before walking inside her room. "Bye, Jasper! See you tomorrow. Thanks for the muffin!"
Jasper sighed, wondering when on earth he would win that girl's heart.
Atie had decided that since she could not sleep, she'd go for a walk again to cheer herself up. She rubbed her eyes in exhaustion, almost running into a car as she crossed the street.
"Oh, sorry!" she gasped, rushing down the street in a hurry. And as soon as she made it to the sidewalk, she ran into Liam.
"Crap!" she groaned.
Liam's eyebrows rose. "That is your response to me? 'Crap'?"
"I didn't expect to see you", Atie said quickly, stepping back. "I should go-"
"You look so tired", Liam said in alarm. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, I'm okay", Atie whispered, shaking her head. "How's, uh, the job?"
Liam's smile faded. "Atie-"
"No, really. How is it?"
"It's hard", Liam admitted.
"You'll get the hang of it", Atie murmured, staring at her hands.
"How's Damon?" Liam asked through gritted teeth.
"Dating a girl named Elena, perfectly happy", Atie said patiently. "He apologized to me yesterday. Nothing more. But it's not like I have to explain."
"No, you're right", Liam sighed. "It's not like you still love me back."
"I do", Atie said. "It's not that simple. Don't make this black and white."
Liam shrugged. "I miss you."
"And I miss you", Atie said patiently. "But I cannot have this conversation again", she finally noticed that he was wearing a suit. "Have a nice day at work", with that she walked off without looking back, trying very hard not to run back to him.
Rachel was trying to change out of her shirt but everytime she moved in an odd angle, shooting pain shot up through her side. Rachel decided to try again when she moved to harshly and the stabbing pain returned in full force. She hissed loudly and then groaned.
Robb was walking to his room when he heard the commotion and immediately walked in, “Hey, what’s wrong.” He asked worried.
“Nothing.” Rachel panted almost out of breath. “Don’t worry about it.”
“Rachel, something is clearly wrong.” Robb said glaring at her. “And I’m not leaving until you tell me.”
Rachel grimaced, “It’s embarrassing.” she blushed.
Robb raised his eyebrows and gave her a look telling her he wasn’t playing.
“I can’t take my shirt off.” Rachel muttered.
Robb’s serious face immediately turned to one of amusement. “I can help you.”
“No, it’s fine. I’ll just call Rana or Atie.”
“Atie’s out and Rana’s cranky so I doubt you want to deal with her.”
“Then I’ll just rot in this filthy shirt.” Rachel said shrugging her shoulders.
Robb rolled his eyes and smiled. He slowly walked up to her and grabbed the hem of her shirt. “Hands up.” he said softly.
Rachel rolled her eyes but followed his instructions, “Fine.” She grumbled.
Robb slowly took her shirt off and placed it to the side. He then turned to look at her.
“Stop staring at me.” Rachel blushed.
Robb smiled and leaned in towards her, “I’m gonna kiss you. Tell me if that’s not okay.”
Rachel stared at him, she tried making herself say it wasn’t okay, but who was she kidding, of course it was okay. Once Rachel didn’t say anything for a minute Robb smiled and leaned in and began to kiss her. He slowly leaned her back on the bed so he was hovering over her and continued to kiss her.
“I love you.” he muttered in between kisses.
“I love you too.” Rachel finally said smiling.
Robb looked at her in surprise, “Really?”
“Obviously.”
“I want to be with you.” Robb said quickly. “Officially, I want it.”
“Me too.” Rachel admitted softly.
“So are we back together?” Robb asked hopefully.
“I don’t know I’m confused.”
“Rachel.” Robb sighed.
“Kiss me.” Rachel said smiling.
Robb rolled his eyes but smiled and continued to kiss her.
“Make sure my kidney doesn’t explode.” Rachel said frantically in between kisses causing Robb to laugh.
Atie was in the library studying for finals. She couldn’t believe that it was almost time for graduation and she still hadn’t decided on what she wanted to do with her life. She was lost deep in thought when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Looking up she saw Liam. “Go away.” Atie muttered looking back down at her papers.
Liam sighed, “Atie I really need to talk to you, please can we talk?”
“I’m a little busy.” Atie sighed pointing to her books. “Not all of us have a job waiting for us after high school. Some of us need to study for finals.”
Liam sighed, “I just wanted to say goodbye.”
Atie’s eyes shot up, “Wait, what?”
Liam sighed, “I've been taking my finals early and leaving for America tonight. My dad started a new business there and I’m going with him to help run it. He wants me to learn the trade.”
“Oh.” Atie said in shock.
“He asked me if there was any reason as to why I would stay and I told him I’d think about it.” Liam said softly. “Atie is there a reason I should stay?”
Atie stared at Liam hard, trying to cover her tears. “No.”
Liam nodded his head, “Okay, then. Bye.” he said getting up and leaving the library allowing Atie to finally let the tears flow.
