1x03: This is the last time I'm asking you this
Rachel was putting the finishing touches on dinner when she finally finished. “Dinner!” She called out as everyone started piling into the kitchen. Robb grabbed plates and began handing them out to everyone. When he handed the plate off to Rana he noticed her glaring at him. “What?” he asked shrugging his shoulders.
“Why did you bring that guy into our house?”
“He saved my life.” Robb said raising his eyebrows. “If he hadn’t come and gotten me then I would have definitely been in jail and I don’t think my parole officer would have been too happy.”
“He’s weird and shady.” Rana grumbled walking over to the table.
“Oh and you’re so normal.” Jon spoke up from behind with a mouth full of lasagna.
“Can we kick him out of the group?” Rana growled glaring at Jon.
“I second that.” Atie said sitting next to Rana.
“Can everyone chill out for three seconds and eat their food?” Robb asked glaring at all of them.
“I hate this house.” Rana groaned again.
“I second that too.” Atie chimed in.
Rachel sighed, “You guys, come on. We need to stick together.”
Robb sighed and turned towards Rachel, “Thank you.” he mouthed to her. Watching out for two teenage girls was harder than Robb had thought and even though he didn’t like to admit it he was grateful that Rachel stuck around and helped him deal with his both his sister’s constant mood changes.
Once dinner was over everyone had gone to do their own thing. Rachel walked into the kitchen to grab some water out of the fridge when she noticed Jon doing dishes. “Hey what are you doing?” Rachel asked joining him by the sink.
Jon shrugged, “Just doing the dishes.” he mumbled. “Maybe this way I won’t be kicked out of the group.” he half joked.
Rachel shot him a sad smile and grabbed a towel deciding to help him. “Rana and Atie are just...grumpy.” Rachel laughed. “They love you like a brother, you know that.”
“I know.” Jon said shrugging his shoulders. “But sometimes I feel like if you guys had to throw someone under the bus it would be. Robb, Atie, and Rana are siblings. You grew up with them and are basically their family and Oberyn and Renly have been best friends since they were 8. Where does that leave me?”
Rachel actually felt herself feeling bad for Jon. She had no idea he felt this way. “Jon, listen.” She said placing a hand on his shoulders. “We all care about you. We’re all family. No one is going to throw anyone under the bus. Understand? We all stick together no matter what.”
Jon turned to look at her and smiled, however before he could say anything Robb walked into the room and raised his eyebrows. “What’s going on in here?” he asked.
Rachel turned to look at him and smiled, “We’re just talking.”
“Nothing important.” Jon said quickly brushing Rachel’s hand off of his shoulder. “Sorry.” he mumbled walking out of the kitchen.
Rachel watched him leave with a confused look, she didn’t understand the sudden mood change.
“That’s weird.” Rachel muttered.
Robb walked up to her and started doing the job Jon had left incomplete. “What were you two talking about?”
Rachel shrugged her shoulders, “It’s not really my place to say but you should talk to him, he’s been feeling down lately.”
“And you care why?” Robb asked turning towards her suddenly getting angry.
Rachel looked at him in shock, “Because he’s basically like my brother and I don’t like seeing my friends sad. What’s wrong with you?”
“Yeah, I’m sure that’s it.” Robb muttered throwing his towel down and walking out the kitchen.
Rachel stared at him in shock and confusion. She then sighed and turned back towards the dishes, “This entire house is crazy.” she muttered.
Atie was sitting in her bedroom, trying to concentrate on reading when she heard a knock on the door.
"Go away", she whined. She still tried to study whenever she could, even though they didn't really have time for that sort of stuff anymore.
"Nope", Liam announced as he walked into the room, closing the door after him. "We have to be really quiet, Robb is still awake", he took off his shirt.
Atie rolled her eyes. "You are too confident. I'm studying. So unless you want to help me with physics-" she gasped as Liam grabbed the book and threw it across the room, leaning to kiss her.
"You really wanna study physics now?" he smirked in between kisses.
"I do and you're distracting me", Atie murmured, but she soon forgot about her protests as Liam took off her shirt.
"We can't keep doing this, you know", she remarked as he placed her on the bed, kissing her neck.
"And why not?" Liam asked, even though he had been saying the same earlier.
"You potato brain", Atie chuckled, trying to shove him off, but he only laughed.
"Potato brain?"
"Shut up, I spend too much time with my sister", Atie smirked before kissing him again.
The next morning Robb was the first one to wake up, and when he walked into the kitchen to find that no one had made any coffee yet, he was even grumpier than before.
"Great", he muttered, moving to start the coffee machine.
"What's with you?" Rana asked as she came out of her room, putting her hair up in a ponytail.
"Nothing", Robb said quietly. "Why are you awake? You usually sleep till noon."
"That Jasper guy is bringing the car, right? I wanna be here for it."
Robb nodded, pressing start on the coffee machine. "You still think this is a shit idea, right?"
"I do", Rana agreed. "But whatever, we'll see what happens."
Just then there was a knock on the door. Robb gestured for Rana to go and open, and so she walked to the door.
"Hello", she said in amusement as she saw Jasper standing there, looking pretty formal. "Where's the car?"
"You're not one for formalities, are you?" Jasper smiled as he walked inside. "I parked it around back."
"It better be good", Robb said as he turned to look at the man.
"It's a fixer-upper, but if you need help with it.."
"What, you don't think I can fix a car?"
Jasper chuckled, looking at Rana. "Is he always this charming?"
"Pretty much", Rana smiled a bit. She found she liked his sense of humor. "I'm still pretty suspicious about you."
"That's understandable, I'm still suspicious about you", Jasper said.
Rana snorted. "So, come on, show me the car. Robb needs at least three cups of coffee before he's okay to be around real people", she gestured for Jasper to follow her outside, which he did.
They made their way to the back of the house with the driveway there, and there it was. It was a nice car, sure, but definitely a fixer-upper.
"Right", Rana smiled. "He's gonna need four cups."
"I'll help him!" Jasper protested.
"Why are you so eager to help us?" Rana raised her eyebrows. "Are you some stalker?"
"Yeah, that's it", Jasper smirked as he moved to the other side of the car. "I do admit, stalking you would be pretty damn interesting."
"Of course it would, I am pretty damn interesting", Rana said as she looked inside the car. As she did, she missed the way Jasper was smiling at her.
"Yeah, you are, aren't you?"
