I guess it was there where I realized that Nathan has really grown up and become someone responsible. I didn't really like him in the first season though or at least the beginning of it. I really felt sorry for him in season 2 and I was mostly on his side in season 3 when he had difficulties in forgetting Haley. In season 5, he was really a jerk at the beginning and I loved him in season 6. I think he's okay in seasons 7-9 but he's less interesting imo.

I love him this season! I feel like we saw the bad boy side of him and the vulnerable heart broken side of him and I loved it! Seasons 1&2 were my favorite Nathan seasons and after that I just kind of lost interest in his character.

This is quite ironic really. Of the core 5 Nathan was definitely my least favourite character because his storyline were too focused on basketball. I mean six seasons and his target was always the NBA and I found it kinda of boring. But I liked his character even less when he quit basketball. He spent seven seasons chasing a dream and he through it all away in a second. I love him with Haley though and his friendship with Peyton in the early seasons.

He was perfect in season 3.... unlike in season 1, when he was sassy & obnoxious- it was still very clear he had a heart and was putting others before him (he just didn't want them to know). But he was also kind, brave, and heroic later in the season.
I think the scene when Haley & Nathan get back together and Nathan takes off his shirt and Haley sees that Nathan has actually been wearing his wedding band the whole time on a chain underneath his shirt so no one could see.... is the perfect representation of Nathan in the first half of season 3. Pretending he didn't care, but in reality keeping the people he loves close to his heart.

There was something about him in season 3. He was grown-up and responsible, yet entertaining and a little bit cocky from time to time (just think of his basketball storyline here). Not as arrogant as as in season 1 but also not as boring as in the later seasons. Simply adorable.
