Because of a busy schedule, The Devil Wants Peace was unable to record another album until 1995. Things had calmed down by then. John was now living on his own, in the mountains of Redshore, in a cabin. One day, during the recording of their album, Out of the Dark Ages, John had agreed to write a song with Peter and Stan. They presented the first two verses of their song to him, and they asked him to come up with a chorus and a third verse. John said, "I'll see what I can do." He went home, and he began to write a chorus. When he finished, he was excited. He said to himself, "I can't wait to show this to Peter and Stan. They'll love it!" The next day, he ate his breakfast and ran out the door with his notebook in his bag. He got in his car and began to drive to the recording studio, where he said that he would meet Peter and Stan. As John was driving down the road, he saw a fox run out in front of him. Being a softy, he wanted to avoid hitting the fox. As a result, he committed a definite don't when driving. He swerved to avoid it. As a result, he was off the road, and he was going down the hill. He slammed on the brakes as hard as he could, but it was no use. They weren't working properly. As he accelerated down the hill, he said to himself, "Oh, God! This is it. This is the end!" He closed his eyes, then BOOM! He hit a tree. He opened his eyes, surprised that he was still alive. He got out to see the damage. His car was severely damaged. He grabbed the bag with his notebook and said to himself, "I've got to get help. I have no way to call anyone here." He began to walk up the hill. Meanwhile, his band mates were at the recording studio. Peter asked, "Allen, Stan, have you seen John?" Allen replied, "Not since yesterday." Stan said, "He said that he was going to meet us here. I haven't talked to him since." Peter said, "It's unlike John to not show up without telling anyone." Allen suggested, "Maybe he's sick." Ben said, "I'll call him and see." Ben called John from a payphone, but there was no answer. Stan said, "Let's go to his house. Maybe he's asleep and didn't hear the phone ring." Stan drove, and Peter and Allen rode in Stan's car. They drove up to John's cabin, but his car wasn't there. Peter said, "He's not here, and he's not at the recording studio. Where could he be?" Allen said, "I don't know. I don't think he's on vacation." Stan said, "No, John would never go on vacation without telling anyone." Some fear fell upon the trio. Allen said, "Guys, you don't think he's..." Peter said, "No! Don't even say it!" Meanwhile, John was still walking up the hill. The hill was very steep, but he managed to get up the hill. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath, and then, he started walking up the road. At one point, a low tree branch scraped at his face. He didn't realize his face was bleeding. Back at John's cabin, Allen, Peter, and Stan all got into Stan's car to look for John. Allen said, "I hope we find him soon. If we find him dead, I'll..." Peter interrupted him. "No!" He cried. "Don't think like that! John will be all right. I know we'll find him soon." Unaware that his mates were looking for him, John continued walking up the road. He was running out of adrenaline. He began to realize that he was hurt. His leg was really bruised, and he could barely walk. He limped to the side of the road to rest. Exhausted, he fell to the ground. He said to himself, "I can't keep on. I'm exhausted, I'm injured, and I haven't had much to drink today." He closed his eyes and said to himself, "I'll just lie here and sweat to death." He heard the voice of John Lennon saying, "I'm not going to let that happen." Meanwhile, in Stan's car, Allen began to cry. Peter said, "Don't cry, Allen. We WILL find John alive. I just know we will." Stan suddenly came to a stop. Peter asked, "What's wrong, Stan?" Stan said, "Somebody's hurt. There's a person lying on the side of the road." Allen said, "Could it be..." He and Stan said at the same time, "John!" The three got out and made their way to their leader. Allen knelt down beside of John. Allen asked, "John, are you all right?" John groaned in response. Peter said, "Talk to us, mate." John opened his eyes and said, "I was in a car accident. My car is badly damaged. It's at the bottom of a hill about three miles from here." Allen said, "Your face is bleeding. Is that from the accident?" Peter noticed the blood, too, and he fainted. John said, "Never mind me. Is Peter okay?" Allen said, "We'll take care of him, but we'll get you taken care of first. You're hurt." At John's cabin. Allen cleaned John's wound while Stan kept an eye on Peter. Peter woke up and asked, "Where am I?" Stan said, "We're in John's cabin." Peter said, "I see. What happened?" Stan said, "You fainted. Are you all right?" Peter said, "Yeah. Where's John?" Stan said, "Allen is cleaning John's wound. John's fine." John came into the living room. "Peter," he said, "are you okay?" Peter said, "I'm fine." John said, "You scared me, man." Peter said, "I faint at the sight of blood. I'm sorry I scared you." John said, "I know you didn't mean it." He walked toward his bag that had his notebook in it. Peter cried out, "John! You're limping!" John said, "I'll be fine. I'm just bruised." John introduced Peter and Stan to the chorus of their song. The song was later finished, John's injuries healed, and John's car was later fixed, and all was well.
