The next day, the members of New Religion decided to introduce their new puppy to their fans. They filmed a video to be uploaded to YouTube. Erin was the first to speak. She said, "Hello, everyone! We have an announcement to make. Before we get started, I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who showed their support for Fritz." Lola said, "Indeed. We are happy to say that he is doing so much better. That Timber Rattler bite really gave us a scare." Carl said, "That's right. Now, we will move on to our announcement." Paul came out holding Klondike and said, "We got a new puppy!" Erin said, "This is Klondike. He is a blue German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. He seems to have taken after the German Shepherd parent, which explains why he is blue." Carl added, "It's true that German Shepherds can be blue. My aunt had one back in the seventies." Lola continued, "We got him, because Erin couldn't help but think what we would do if we did lose Fritz. While no dog will ever replace Fritz, he can't serve as the mascot forever. He will continue to serve as mascot until he is eight years old, and by then, Klondike will take over." Paul said, "For now, Klondike is a little bit young to be touring with us. He's only twelve weeks old. When he's a little older, he'll do limited traveling. We do plan on socializing him so that he will be ready when he officially becomes the mascot."
