Wendell and Cass are two penguins at the New York Aquarium in Coney Island, Brooklyn. They live in a soap opera world of seduction and intrigue. Among the 22 male and 10 female African black-footed penguins in the aquarium's exhibit, tales of love, lust, and betrayal are the norm. Penguins mate for life. Given the disproportionate male-female ratio at the aquarium, some of the females flirt profusely and dump their partners for single males with better nests.

Wendell and Cass, however, take no part in these love triangles. They have been completely devoted to each other for the last eight years. In fact, neither one of them has ever been with anyone else. But the partnership of Wendell and Cass adds drama in another way. They're both male. That is to say, they're gay penguins.

BEIJING – Penguins are the descendants of aliens that came to Earth in UFOs 100,000 years ago, a leading researcher reports.
I know it sounds crazy but it’s true,” said the fame marine biologist Hsu Sen-sung. “We’ve always known that penguins were extremely intelligent but now, for the first time, we know why.
“These magnificent creatures are highly-evolved life forms that came to Earth from a distant planet.
“And from what I understand, the civilization they left behind was even more advanced than our own.”
The Beijing-based expert’s report to a gathering of scientists and reporters met with some skepticism but he provided strong evidence to support his claims.
Dramatic new studies suggest that some penguins score higher on IQ tests than human beings. Hsu himself claims to have been communicating with a pair of the creatures telepathically since last December.
The expert was vague when asked to explain how he managed to crack the communications barrier with penguins. He did say that the breakthrough came when a male penguin at a marine research facility “grew close to one of my assistants and established a telepathic...

Flipper-patting is largely performed with the male aside of or behind the female and in 21% of cases evolved into a copulation attempt. The male uses his bill to push the neck of the female downwards, gently forcing her to the ground before finally mounting. The male stands on the back of the female, steadying himself using his flippers. Cloacal contact is established when the female lifts her tail feathers and the male edges backwards, arching his rear slightly and dipping his cloaca onto that of the female.
When mounting, the female lays flat on the ground with her flippers out to the side and head raised. The male then climbs on her back. She will have to hold as still as possible so the male won’t fall off. If a male is trying to mate with a female and she is unwilling, then she will stand up and the male will fall off her back.
