Hello my fellow fanpoppers, I'm Amphitrite, and I'm here to help. Now, this informational article pertains directly to the "Second camp Half Blood Series" thread. It may seem daunting and irritating trying to understand what's going on in the thread, and you may not know what to post, assuming you haven't already, but if you read the information I'm going to provide below it will make the experience much more enjoyable.

First off, we need to cover the ground rules, but not to worry, they are easy to follow and remember.

1. NO SPAMMING! Although you may not be able to resist it, please try to refrain from spamming the thread. It is annoying and it makes it harder for other Fanpoppers to figure out what is being talked about. So please keep the thread spam free. We don't want a messy thread do we?

2. Comments must be at least 15 words long. I know it's a weird rule, but short comments are just as annoying as spam. A fifteen word comment isn't that hard to make.

Don't Go Off Topic. That is to say, if your comment isn't about the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series or the Heroes of Olympus series, then save it for the random spot or your post script. We don't care if Bigfoot visited your house and ransacked your fridge last night, so don't post it without contributing to the converstation on the thread.

4. Don't post several consecutive comments. Same as with the other rules. Commenting like this is very annoying and makes the thread look messy. Instead of posting a string of little comments, combine them into one larger comment. If you think of something else you want to say after you've posted go back and check to see if anyone posted after you. If you were the last to comment on the thread, then click the edit button under your comment. If you don't know which button is the "edit" button, it is the pencil. After you click on the pencil a text box will pop up with your post in it. Simply add your afterthought to the original comment and submit it again.

Ok, so the rules weren't so bad, were they? No, I didn't think so....now we have to talk about the rulemakers, don't we? Yeah, that's right, we have rule makers...they're sort of like moderators. So, onto them.

RoHeHa_6264995 Roheha is the goddess of Antispam. that is to say, she is the goddess of keeping our thread nice, neat, and tidy. She doesn't like spam, consecutive comments, or short comments, and when you make her angry she'll let you know. She will report anyone who violates the rules.

Amphitrite That's me, but Amphitrite is long and sometimes hard to spell, so just call me Amph. I'm pretty much a walking Greek Mythology encyclopedia. I'm the go-to Goddess when it comes to facts about mythology. If you have a question, I have an answer. I'm a stickler for the rules, and even though it's Roheha's domain, if I get annoyed enough, I will report rule violators. My pet peeves are mispelled names and incorrect facts...so if you spell something wrong, please don't be mad if I correct it in a later post. If you need help, though, I'm here to answer all questions, whether they are related to myth, either of the series', or Fanpop. Send me a PM, or if I'm online IM me with the instant messenger at the bottom of your screen.

percyjackson51 percyjackson51 is the goddess of Information. She will post information about the new series and anything related to it when it becomes available. She checks R.R.'s (Rick Riordan's) blog and twitter frequently, and if you want to know if he's got something new up, check with her. If you see that there is new info that she hasn't posted yet, you might want to give her a heads up so she can deliever it to the rest of us.

i_am_zim zim is the god of Claiming. It isn't a permenent title, but he laid claims to it. He controls the rules of claiming pages. Claiming is declaring a page (in the first comment on a new page) in the name of a god, demigod, and/or fanpopper. Zim became the god of claiming by being the first to comment/claim the 100th page. On every hundreth page, the first to post/claim it becomes the new god of claiming and can establish any claiming rule they want. As of now, you cannot claim any page until the 200th page is reached.

Now that we've discussed our forum gods, lets move on to what we are talking about on the thread. There is one thing that you need to read before the book comes out to understand what is going on. Please, if you haven't already, head over to the official link site. The first two chapters of the Heroes of Olympus Book One: The Lost Hero are there for your reading enjoyment. The password to unlock the chapters is "newhero" Please don't include the quotation marks, I've seen someone include it and then get mad at me because the password wasn't right...

After you read the two chapters you may think you are ready for discussion, but there is just a little more to review. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians spot has a companion site of sorts. It is the link spot. There are articles posted to help you build your own theories. Please head over there and review the following articles and their comments.

All of the H of O article series. They are a weekly article series that I've been writing, and will continue to write until the end of the new series. They are full of theories that are either accepted, widely discussed, or both. They are humerous and informational.

Who the Hades is Piper's Mom? This is an article discussing Piper's immortal parent.

History Is Evil by Roheha. This article discusses some similarities between The Lost Hero and The Titan's Curse.

Walk Like an Egyptian by Hecate (screen name HecateA) This article discusses The Red Pyramid and its many allusions to the world of Camp Half-Blood. It also mentions the possibility of a Camp Half-Blood and Kane Chronicles crossover.

There are many other articles over there that should be read, but these are the ones that you need to look at before you jump into a discussion on our thread.

The last thing I'm going to include for you in this little care package is a glossary of names and places pertaining to the series' and to myth in general and a key to help you understand our acronyms.
