Inspired by link, I've decided to write another article that would encourage the fanbase to remain steadfast and never have any doubts that what Jake and Peyton share was genuine and immaculate.
At some point (because Jake and Peyton were never going to happen and we should all come to terms that this conclusion is final), people who might visit this fanclub would wonder why we even bother. And as much as we don't have to prove anything to these vultures, we also do not have to compromise what we believe in just because of such public scrutiny. If it does go that way, at least I could present the doubting Thomases some claims that would help them reason out why they support JP love, in case someone asks, that is.
I've gathered these theories from some anti-JPers I've met just a week ago in some fan forum I forgot to bookmark.

* Peyton only loved Jake because she can't have Lucas *
Err, no. Now JP non-supporters can all delude themselves and think that Jake was just the next best thing to Peyton because they favor her with someone else, but Peyton clearly fell for Jake when she least expected it. She didn't have to say "I love Jake. I'm in love with Jake" during season 2 when he wasn't around. The fact that she misses him and was miserable about it (among other things) shows that her feelings for Jake was something that nobody else told her to have for him. She was cautious about these feelings, telling people (Brooke, mostly) that they're just friends and she only wants to help out. She may do these things out of friendship which I don't doubt, but there's also a certain expectation that Peyton displays, like wanting to be a permanent part of Jake and Jenny's life. She wouldn't have given a damn in the first place if she was just using Jake as a form of self-denial because she secretly harbored romantic notions for Lucas. Now this theory wasn't apparent during season 2. She pushed Lucas away for being a "bad friend", thanked him when Lucas proved otherwise, and that's as far as Peyton "liked" Lucas during that season. I get that the whole 'she's sooo hiding her feelings for Lucas in season 2' debate is open for discussion but the way she devoted all her time for Jake and Jenny contradicts the whole thing, obviously.
* Jake was just eager to leave TH as much as he wants to leave her *
Boo-hoo, all Jake did was make Peyton cry. Whatev. I get where the non-supporters are coming from with this point-of-view, but they're missing one thing: relationships in general take work and commitment and it's only natural for the couple to suffer bumps on the road and feel bad. It's not unusual for Peyton to be crying especially because the circumstances for her and Jake were definitely hard and they have to make choices that neither of them didn't like but what matters is they made the choice together, like two mature people who really do love each other. They kept the communication between them open. There was also a time when Jake was a bit frustrated for Peyton when she went on a limb to negotiate with his lawyers without informing him first---but even that is something they resolved and he immediately forgave her. Instead of Peyton resenting Jake for his problems that she had to deal with, and Jake losing his patience with Peyton always trying to fix things, they deciced to focus on an important goal: getting Jenny safe away from Nikki and staying together.
As for Jake being eager to leave Peyton because she is a part of Tree Hill and he wants to get away from that place, that is just an invalid inference. There was never a moment that Jake wasn't happy to come back, especially for Peyton during season 2. He even stopped running away just so he could be with her. He kept her letters because she gave him strength and how could a man leave a woman who was offering him a home? Jake claimed that he was looking for a safe place in an unsafe world and he realized he could create it by being with Peyton.
* Peyton didn't really fight hard enough for him and Jake is just waiting for a reason to break it off all along *
In the depths of her heart, she made a promise to keep loving Jake no matter what happens, and to keep hoping that it will work out for the best someday. She didn't have any regrets. She didn't want to give their love back even for the whole world. When her father said to use her head and follow her heart, it led her back to Jake. And we get to experience the most heartwarming of reunions that Mark never needed any clever foreshadowing at all. As for the fact that she gave up on Jake in s3 when he simply told her to go home, it wasn't done out of helplessness. She had the option of staying with Jake even when there's still doubts in her heart, or going back home to sort out these doubts, and she chose the latter because Jake was good enough to get her in the right direction. He didn't want her to be with Lucas as many non-supporters claimed. It wasn't about that. It's about telling Peyton that she has to consider that she deserves something better, and that she shouldn't depend on him just because she was depressed about many events in her life that happened in that season. Jake wanted Peyton to know that if she does indeed love Lucas, then she had the right to figure out what to do about that. Jake can't accept her if she doesn't even know if she wants to be with Lucas or not, because he respects their relationship too much to turn away from the heart of it all.
Meanwhile, Peyton understood what Jake's reasons are and she never hated him for that or thought that he was ending things because it couldn't work out. She understood that he's still here for her once the confusion in her heart subsides and if there's a slim chance that they could be together, he will take it too as much as she will. Although Mark wasn't able to follow through that promise and chose to write up Leyton again, rest assured that it's not because Peyton didn't fight hard enough for Jake and that Jake didn't either. They always knew when the time isn't right for them just like in season one and two, and neither of them didn't need to make each other upset just because they had to say goodbye to each other for now. They waited for each other before and they could still do that again. What baffled me is Mark being lousy enough to make Peyton forget about Jake completely when she was reunited with Lucas. And since Peyton never got back to Jake about that hanging promise of someday, I'm forced to believe that he was able to move on or wait for her just the same.
Jake never wanted to break it off with Peyton. You can see how much it pains him to see her go, but he did it anyway, because he would rather not have Peyton if that means he has to live with the fact that she may be in love with Lucas.
* They only loved each other when it was convenient for the both of them *
One of these days, y'all non-supporters could just settle debates like this by hurling bird crap at each other because that's what most of your arguments are made of anyway. But I'll do nice and make peace with y'all dumbasses because I don't blame you for the insolence.
First off, It was never a convenient time for Jake and Peyton to fall in love in the first place. It wasn't convenient for Peyton when she chose to be with a struggling single father and yet she did anyway. It wasn't convenient for Jake to come back to TH with the prospect of Nikki finding him again but he did so anyway. It wasn't convenient for both of them to spend time together with the knowledge that it might just not last as they hoped it would---but they still did anyway. It wasn't convenient. It wasn't advisable. But at the end of the day, all they they wanted was a chance to be together and they took that chance. Even when Nikki did come back and tried taking Jenny away, even when Jake had to protect Peyton by not letting her risk her dropping out of school for him, it was worth every inconvenience because all their deeds were done out of love and anything done out of love is its own reward.
