Yeah, I'm sorry but the graphics really make most of the experience better.

This is a really complicated question, I guess. I, personally, played all the remakes before their original games, so the nostalgia is out of it. And, with so many performance and graphics improvements and new features and things, it's really hard to say the old ones are "better," or even equal. But, because without the original you'd never have the remake, I don't think it's fair to compare them.

My first game was Pearl so maybe I'll have more to add in a couple years when I play the Gen IV remake. :P

I usually like both versions a lot,the experience with the remakes of the games are always interesting,well for me the most interesting is really in what exactly they do different from the original,including the additional Pokemon from the newer regions and certain additions to the game itself ,but overall the nostalgia gets to me when it comes to older games,so yeah,but basically for me-well I think that would apply to some remakes for me,but not all.

I think it's amazing to see the new features that they add to the remakes and you've got to love those graphics.
