Blossom was devastated. One of her kits was in the middle of life and death, and the other was gone. Brick went up to her.
"Blossom, we still haven't told Blazey she has blackcough." He said.
"But Brick I don't wanna scare her!" Blossom cried.
"Were gonna have to tell her sooner or later." Brick purred trying to comfort her. "Look at her. Loosing her life away while she's sleeping."
"You mean she's dying right now?!" Blossom cried even harder.
"No, I mean she's very sick." Brick said.
Meanwhile, it was Blake's second day at the twoleg house. He decided to go and explore to find a way out. He bumped into another cat. She was a sleek, white cat with beautiful blue eyes.
"Ugh! So your the kitten huh?" She hissed.
"Ummmm...." Blake said.
"Yeah! What's your name! Rusty? That's a stupid name!" She hissed again,
"Rusty?" Blake asked. "That's not my-"
"That's what your collar says." The she-cat meowed.
"My names Blake!" Blake hissed.
"Not anymore." The cat laughed. "Well, I'm Snowbell.
"Get out of my way." Blake said pushing her out of his way.
"Fine! If you need me, I'll be outside in the garden." She said.
"Outside?" Blake repeated.
"Yeah, outside." She said.
"May I come?" Blake asked.
"If you don't push me outta the way!" Snowbell hissed.
"Yeah, okay." Blake said. They went through a little flap in the door, and Blake saw the fence. He tried to jump over, but he wasn't big enough.
"Wait till your older." Snowbell suggested.
"Hmph!" Blake pouted.
"Your not even twelve moons old yet! Wait!" Snowbell hissed.
Blake sat in them grass. He missed being able to roam free.
5 MOONS LATER...
Blake was starting to like his twoleg family. He didn't even realize hew was old enough to jump the fence. He was starting to get along with Snowbell too. They had become very good friends. He enjoyed the pets and scratches he got from his family. He loved it when they rubbed his belly the most. And when they scratched him under his chin. He loved his soft bed, and the peace and quite he got to sleep to at night instead of other cats sleeping, and other animals making noises in the woods. But one thing he dearly missed, was sleeping under the stars, playing in the leaves in leaf-fall, and he really missed the juicy taste of fresh-kill. He hated the food they gave him here.
"What'cha up to, Blake?" Snowbell asked when she saw him looking out the window.
"I miss my old home..." Blake said.
"Remember a long time ago, when you tried jumping the fence, but you were too small?" Snowbell asked.
"Yeah?" Blake said.
"Well...your big enough now. But please don't leave! I love you!" Snowbell pleaded.
"You...love me? Okay..." Blake meowed.
"No, I mean, that your my best friend! And my only friend! Please don't leave me!" She cried.
"Come with me!" Blake offered. "I'm sure my family-"
He remembered Blazey. Pain and sadness struck him.
"What's wrong?" Snowbell asked.
"My...my sister got blackcough...before I got hit by the monster and the twolegs took me in." Blake replied.
"Oh...Well, if you want me too...I'll go." Snowbell said giving Blake a warm smile.
"Okay...Do you really want too?" Blake asked.
"I'll miss this place...I mean, I've lived her since kithood." Snowbell said. "Goodbye, Blake. I wont be coming with you."
Blake got even more sad. His heart was ripped between two worlds. He actually kinda loved Snowbell. He'll miss sleeping next to her, and seeing her bright face every day.
"I'll miss you too." Blake said trying to hold back the tears.
They gave each other a hug, and Blake went out the door. They would never see each other again.
