Sometimes you have to wonder if people on this website can distinguish between belting and yelling. *cough*
Oh, and "generic" isn't synonymous with "bad".

Anyways, both of them are excellent singers, but Demi actually uses diction. Ariana's diction gets worse the higher she belts. I wish she pronounced her words better. It's a shame, because she did used to use proper diction, as shown in this video:

@hatelarxene Not that I don't agree with this comment. It's just one part of your comment really bugs me. I know that generic isn't a synonym for bad, but it's a word that can be used to describe something as bad. Generic essentially means unoriginal or not having a distinct quality. So shouldn't that be considered a bad thing? After all, uploaded900 wasn't using the word wrongly, he/she(Sorry, about that I don't know what gender you are) just didn't add any explanation as to why.
