Real Madrid Football Club are one of the biggest clubs in the world of football, but they're having some major issues at the moment
Real Madrid have built up a reputation for being one of the biggest clubs in the world of football/soccer, and for good reason. The Spanish side have won truckloads of trophies during their 113-year existence and they have seen some of the game's biggest stars represent their club in their iconic all white kit. Like any other dynasty though, Los Galacticos have had to endure some tough spells, but then again, the challenge that they're faced with right now may just be their biggest hurdle ever.

Not one to mingle with mediocrity, Real Madrid have always had an intrinsic inclination to not just succeed, but dominate. This need of theirs however, is having a tough time being fulfilled right now since their fierce rivals Barcelona have been winning every single trophy on offer. Lionel Messi and his fellow Barcelona players won a total of five trophies in the 2015 calendar year and they look all set to repeat that feat in 2016 as well.
This simply means that Real are not being able to get their hands on any trophies and this is something that their fans cannot take. A lot of pressure lies squarely on the shoulders of the players of Real Madrid, but the person who bears the brunt of all this pressure is the team manager. The Real Madrid manager's job is probably the most difficult coaching job in the world of football and over the years, this post has claimed the reputations of some of the most respected soccer coaches in the world.

The Real Madrid manager's job is one that comes with a revolving door because while Barcelona have had just 6 managers at their club since 2004, Real Madrid have had 13! What this means is that expectations at Real are extremely high and even though they appoint some of the biggest coaches in the soccer world, these fantastic individuals are not being able to win as many trophies as the fans would like.

Due to this insatiable appetite of the fans, Real Madrid find themselves in a mess way too often. Changing bosses so often is never a good idea as it affects the stability of an institution. Think of it yourself, you've had three bosses to report to in three years, how inconveniencing is that? Rather, had you had the one boss for all these three years, you'd find yourself in a much more comfortable situation because both of you would be well aware of each others strong and weak points and likes and dislikes.

It takes time for people to adjust to different environments, and more often than not, the people who have been appointed as manager of Real Madrid have not had enough time to acclimatize themselves with surroundings because they've been sacked!

Presently, Real Madrid find themselves in a similar mess as they very recently sacked their manager, Rafael Benitez, even though he was just appointed to fill this position six months ago. But what crime did Benitez commit? Real Madrid are currently third in the Spanish League, just four points behind their cross town rivals Atletico Madrid. They are also going strong in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Yes, a human error cost Real Madrid their place in the Spanish Cup as they were humiliatingly eliminated from the competition because they fielded a player who was actually suspended. Once again, Rafa Benitez faced the backlash that this gaffe engendered even though everybody is failing to blame any other member of the Real coaching staff. Yes, Benitez did forget about the player's ban, but so did all of Real's other officials.

Benitez was shown the door just three days ago and assistant manager Zindeine Zidane was appointed as the latest Real manager. I personally feel that this move, like most of the other occasions in the past where Real have sacked managers too quickly, was a very rash one.

Nothing good comes out of rash decisions and Real Madrid should have learned their lesson by now. Just when you think they should finally settle down with one manager and give him time to bed in properly, they go and sack him and give the job to Zidane, whose only foray into management was his two-year long tenure as the coach of Real's reserve team, Real Madrid Castilla.

In fact, Real's relationship with their managers have been so ridiculous that in the last 20 years, only three managers have been in their position for two years or more. Of these three, Carlo Ancelotti was in place for two years, Jose Mourinho for three years, while Vicente Del Bosque managed to pull off the unimaginable task of remaining as Real Madrid boss for three-and-a-half years.

Vicente Del Bosque's feat however, should not really count as his tenure came during the turn of the millennium back when he coached Real from November 1999 to June 2003.

Real's obsession with success is so ludicrous that they actually sacked manager Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the 2015 season because he failed to win anything that year. His inadequacies for one season saw him lose the job even though he managed to win the club four trophies the previous year, including the club's 10th UEFA Champions League, 12 years after they last won it.

Coming to the end of this article, my first on Fanpop, I'd simply like to state that Real Madrid Football Club are in all sorts of problems, problems that they have caused themselves. Patience is the key to anything in life and Real's fans and top bosses have been failing to understand that for ages now. A solution is not on the cards any time soon and the longer they keep changing managers, the longer their trophy drought will continue.
