Ember slid off of her unicorn, carrying her big bags with her. As she waved goodbye to her mother and father, the royality of Erakilon, she felt a shudder go up her spine as she entered the school grounds alone, in the rain of that early morning (6 am to be percise).
The raindrops were as woeful as the tears she had cried late last night. 'Oh man, i'm gonna miss my family so much! But, but i've got to be brave, this is my dream...' As she entered the grand school of alfea, she noticed a slight nibbling sound in her bag, but ignored it. "And who are you, exactly?" Barked a voice. But it wasn't a solairian sting tail dragon or a dominolian fire-hound as you might expect, it was ms.Grizelda, the school's receptionist and a completly different beast altogether. " I'm Ember ann peters of Eraklion, my mother was a student here herself so i dont have to be on the list, right?" Assumed Ember, trying desperatly to dismiss the rumbling sound in her bag. "Have you had a big lunch ms.Peters?" Mocked ms.Grizelda.
Blushing, Ember explained "No miss, that was just my...Bag." Ms grizelda rolled her eyes "Some freshman...Keep on trying crazy spells. Well, you can come through, i guess since your here on such short notice we'll have to issue you into the blue dorm, the smallest. You'll find it's quite a stair-walk up from here." After a thank you, yes mam and under her breath a: "I never knew rotweiler's were that ugly" she trudged up the stairs, wondering what her dorm would be like.
Ember was a pretty girl, she had bobbed fiery red hair like, well, Ember's, with, to oppisitionise things, pale skin and wide blue eyes, she was tall and thin and although didnt quite ressemble her mother, Bloom, certainly ressembled a princess, and she was! She was confident, powerful, brave, honest, a little short tempered at times true, but on the whole a very good person.
As she winded up the staircases she thought it would never end, it was like smoke from a bombfire, doing nothing but twirling upwards.
'This is lame' she thought. 'Not how i imagined it at all! wheres all the friendly teachers, funky dormitories and fun lessons?!' the only thing which seemed interesting was probaly the rumbling in her bag, she assumed it was simply a out of control spell book she packed, but, it didnt feel like that. Up, up, up she went, untill she felt like she might just collasp on the stairs! 'OMG, this dorm better be good!' she scorned the school silently, as she entered the blue dorm. Small. Small, but....beautiful! It really was! it's cieling was like a wonderful window, the cieling was glass so at night you could look up at the stars, in one of the 4 hammocks and considering it's size, it was certainly cozy!
2 girls quickly risen from their hammocks and went to greet Ember "Your just a little bit late, my friend! You were meant to be here last night!" Laughed one, a lean, pale figure who calimed to be called Zakkalise, a snow and winter fairy. Ember tried to smile but, she looked slightly familiar, her eyes were dark blue, slinted and cold with mystery. It reminded the dragonfire fairy, of witches. one in particular icy, who fought a showdown with her mother. But, no, it couldnt be a witch? She seemed nice, but Ember still couldnt help feeling supicious. Trying to forget about it, she turned her attention to another girl, chloe, with beady green eyes and blonde hair, "Oh, i have heard of you!" She smiled sweetly. "You are Princess ember! Im a princess too, and a sound and communication fairy, i can speak the langage of any race, contry, animal or plant, Im also able to hear anything from up to 10 miles away!" She mentioned. Ember soon became lost in her conversation with her new friend, and....the one she wasnt so sure about, she noticed a lanky long, purply black haired one reading a book in the corner of the eye, should she say hello? She knew she was propably a telepaxian, from a island on the west coast of domino, it was misty and freezing, and the hills were blue. there was no technology, they lived like the native americans did, inlittle huts, and they didnt talk as most were telepathic anyway, but she assumed she would of have to have learnt before coming right? I mean, would she know what a mobile phone was? A tv? Ember doubted it........The girl simply looked up from her book and did a small smile. "I, i know what, your...um, well, thinking" Said the girl shyly with a stutter, as she still was getting the hang of the confusing world of "Talking" perhaps chloe could well her.
"Oh im so sorry, i..." The girl stopped ember before she could finish "Dont worry, about, ur...whats the word...it! Yeah thats it!" She laughed. "I get that alot, i guess. I may be a telepaxian but im a keen learner, i assume i'll get the hang of it in a matter of, hhh, hours." She laughed. 'Wow, i must look like a total weirdo, but speakings so hard....." After a while, Ember became to like the conversation. 'Maybe this place isnt so bad after all' she thought with a smile. Or maybe, it was worst: After all, she still heard a rumbling in her bag....To be continued.
