Emmett's POV

'Jasper!' Alice shrieked. 'I hate you!' she growled before she lunged for his throat.
'That's enough!' Rosalie suddenly screamed. She walked over towards and Alice and slapped her hard across her face. 'What's wrong with you?'
'Babe, please,' I grabbed Rosalie's hand and pulled her softly towards me. 'Violence is no option. Alice isn't herself.'
'But she's hurting Jasper!' Rosalie whispered. 'I can't stand it when somebody hurts him. We promised each other that we will protect each other no matter what. I'm just trying to protect him.'
'Rosalie's right,' we both looked shocked at the one who spoke. 'I'm not the same anymore,' Alice sobbed when she placed her face in her hands.
'Alice, my love, it's okay,' Jasper said. We knew that he was lying. We knew that this hurt him more than anything else. 'Come here,' Jasper pulled Alice in his arm before we could stop him.
'Jasper n...' Edward's eyes widened. 'ALICE!' Edward roared.
I turned my head and saw Alice pushing Jasper into a wall while she growled like an animal at him.
'Alice stop!' Rosalie shouted and she pushed Alice of Jasper. Alice struggled in Rosalie's arm. 'Alice, please!' my wife begged.
'Let me go!' Alice growled. I rushed towards the two with Edward before Alice could harm my wife. 'Let. Me. Go.' Alice hissed.
'Esme,' Edward said calmly. Esme was within a second downstairs with Carlisle behind her. 'Take Jasper.'
'Come, dear,' Esme wrapped an arm around her son and cooed sweet nothings to him while he sobbed. I caught Rosalie staring sadly after him.
'Carlisle, Edward,' I said. They nodded and I let go of Alice. 'Come, love,' I wrapped an arm around Rosalie's waist and lead her to our bedroom.

Rosalie's POV

I couldn't help it anymore. It broke me to see Jasper like that. I could almost feel the pain he was enduring.
I stared at his back while Esme leaded him out of the room. I could see his body shaking like crazy. What meant one thing; he was crying.
It was all Alice's fault. How could she do such things? What is wrong with her? But I knew it wasn't her fault. Something or someone was controlling over her. And we will find out. I will find out.
'Come, love,' Emmett whispered. He knew exactly what was going on with me. He always knew everything about me. He wrapped an arm around my waist and I leaned into his touch while we walked to our room.
'What's wrong?' I asked quietly when we both lay on our bed. 'I don't understand. First the Volturi, then the kidnapping, then Demetri shows up with a freaky story about doubling people and now this... What's wrong, Emmett? Why? Why is this happening?'
'There must be a reason for that, love,' Emmett tightened his arms around me. 'There always is a reason for everything,' was his simply answer.
'Still I can't understand,' I demanded. 'Jasper is so...' I didn't had to finish the sentence to let Emmett know what was coming next.
'I know, my love,' Emmett whispered. 'We all hate it to see Jasper like that. But Alice will be okay. And if Alice is okay then Jasper will be okay too.'
'Will you promise me that?' I knew that I sounded very childish, but I couldn't help it. Emmett had to promise me so I could believe it.
Emmett chuckled lightly. 'I promise.'
I smiled a small smile back at him. 'Then I think the same,' I rested my head against his chest. I listened to the conversation downstairs.
'I'm a monster!' Alice sobbed. 'A horrible monster!'
'Alice you'r...'
'I hurt Jasper!' Alice interrupted Edward. 'How can I ever forgive myself?'
'Alice you...'
'Why? What's wrong with me?' Alice started to sob harder now. '[i]Why?'
'Alice pl...'
'I love Jasper more than anything else in the world... Why is this happening wh...'
'Alice can you shut it for a moment?' Edward almost shouted at her. 'You're not mo...'[/i]
I didn't listen anymore to the conversation. Knowing what Edward will say. Things like "you're not a monster" or "you're not yourself". Yeah, we all heard Edward's words of wisdom before.
I pulled out of Emmett's hug and sat straight.
'Should we go back?' I asked him. He nodded and we both stood up. I looked through our window and gasped.
'What's wrong Rose?' Emmett asked me immediately worried. 'What is g...' he trailed off and I knew why; he saw it too.
Outside I saw Jasper looking furious at the wolves. And that wasn't the worst part, they both stood in a fighting position. Ready to attack.
