At the age of twelve, Selena traveled to Austin, Texas, for her Disney Channel casting call. Selena was soon on a plane to Los Angeles to audition for a Disney Channel show.
Selena ws casting the lead role on a show, but it was not picked to be put o air. But Disney did ot forget about her. She guest-starred in Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Her big break finally came when she was casted as Alez Russo on the show Wizards of Waverly Place.
Selena wanted to be in a movie, too. Selena auditioned for the movie Another Cinderella Story,
and was casted as Mary (Cinderella), and her co-star was Drew Seeley, a young superstar who went on tour woth the High School Musical cast.
