Kanana has a gold (But not shiny) skin, cat-like blue eyes, pink fins, pink fish tail and a white headband. Her symbol is a dark blue up arrow.
Kanana is actually a plain goldfish, with pink fins and pink tail, but she was turned into a fish-keronian by Kururu. She was supposed to be Kumimi's beloved pet since she was at Maron, but because of her arrival at Keron, since Kumimi pay attention to Beriri more than Kanana herself, Kanana saw when chibi Kururu visits Kumimi and Beriri, Kururu tested his gun that turns animals into people to Kanana, then Kanana ran away though the window, planning to be back to get Beriri out from Kumimi's mind when they're grown up.
At the first day of Beriri and Kumimi's grown up days, Kanana showed up and still have Beriri as her rival. Kanana have a fight with Beriri, but was quickly defeated. Kanana then honours Beriri, and also befriended with her and Kumimi, joining the MAI Platoon. She was ranked the Private third class at the platoon.
Kanana has an ability of giving out water from her mouth, and if she stays with the Keroro Platoon for several days, it will end up with the whole Keroro Platoon and the whole Hinata family gets wet until Kanana leaves. Kanana also tries to sing like Kumimi, but if she sing out loud, it will end up with everybody got their ear drums almost explodes. When it comes out to a fight, the opponent will mostly be Saburo, because she wants Natsumi to be with Giroro, so she tries to get rid of Giroro's rival to help him, but the others don't think it was a good idea, because anytime she tries, she's the one who always been defeated.
Kanana awakes somebody with slapping him/her with her fishy fin, and it never works to Kururu, because he dosen't care about Kanana's slaps. But Kanana can wake him up with shoots alot amount of water to Kururu from her mouth. Kururu thought it's as annoying as what Tororo did to his computer, so if Kanana does that to Kururu, Kururu gets mad and made Kanana runs away from his lab.
When Kanana gets fierce, she's giving out sea water which is salty instead of plain/pure water. When she was relaxed, she's giving out cold water from her mouth, and if she's in a normal mood, she's giving out plain/pure water from her mouth. Giroro panics when Kanana shoots him with sea water, and it's end up with getting Giroro wet and his mouth full of salty water (Yuck!) and Kanana ran away quickly as she can. The Keroro Platoon felt Kanana is annoying if she stays with the Keroro Platoon for several days. Then everybody relieved when Kanana leaves, and paniced again when Kanana says that she will come back.
It seems like Kanana's the one that never forgots Dororo, or even made him go to trauma switch (Let's see how long it takes). Kanana also always listen to Dororo's suggestions, much more than the rest of the Keroro Platoon.

- Beriri dosen't think that Kanana's annoying at all.
- Kanana annoys Kururu the most.
- Kanana's getting fierce in a face of danger, but relaxed when she dosen't make any mess and paniced when she made someone angry.
